    In two years I spent over $1,000 on planner stickers because, you know, I HAD to have them. What a waste of money! I donated probably 80% of them to the local library for the children's section for projects. I do use my planner religiously, though. I would be a leaf in the wind if I didn't have it. I have a section of my planner to keep track of all my bills being paid that includes a budget worksheet. This method is a lifesaver in addition to my cash binders.

    I needed this video. I re-configured my budget to pay my bills in it's entirety vs setting out a little each paycheck. Using your method is going to allow for the bills to be paid in full. I was forgetting to set amounts aside each week. Definitely a better method.

    • @2SisterBees
      @2SisterBees  11 месяцев назад

      I also am reconfiguring and working out my budget. It has to work, right? A budget can’t be an idea of how we think it could work. It has to actually work. It takes time. Make sure to give yourself that 90 days of adjustment.
      Doing a budget is like giving yourself an instant raise. We are working for ourselves and it will all be worth it! 💛💛💛

    Thank you for this video, Jen! Loved it ❤❤I tried zero based budgeting for a few months then realised that I work better with a rollover based budget instead. Just want to say that budgeting really has no right or wrong answers - we just keep trying and keep learning! It's perfectly okay to scrap that budget we spent so much time working on, because it may not be working out for us anymore at that particular season/moment in our lives. Our lives keep changing, so should our budgets ❤

    Another great video, Jen! I've learned so much while developing my budget.
    I've switched from a monthly to a bi-weekly budget because i didn't like being in the "red" while waiting for a check.
    I got spreadsheet budget spreads based on which half the month I'm on. Each half has it's bills that need to be paid that period, so I just copy the sheet for the next cycle.
    My spending categories are what are what I'd like to spend for a whole month divided in half.
    And I've followed April's digital cash stuffing. Seeing the money I'm saving in my spreads along with watching both 2 sister bees channels has really helped me out.

      Cushion is a specific amount ($100, $200) that sits in your checking account as protection for those forgotten transactions. That way you don’t end up with an over draft fee.

      For sure. Every pay period- have your expenses in order - prioritized spending plan- and as soon as your $ hits, pay each bill in order to your plan.
      With what you have left, assign every dollar a place to go so it doesn’t get spent on unplanned things. Keep track of it all and see if you notice a difference.
      When people start doing this, the average amount of $ that is “found” back for them, is over $300 a month.
