Diggin' this guys work.. A true Talent.. One for the ages.. Whatever ya wanna call it folks... Can't imagine what his sound'll evolve into in 10 years... Sick. Just sick....
There's something distinctly spiritual & humble about Derek's sound. When i hear him i'm reminded of everyone from Coltrane to Yusuf Lateef/Eric Dolphy. Other players like Bonamassa are great but tend to overplay.
They closed with a Derek & the Dominos song? Great! Sweet, in any instance. He's developed in the blues vocabulary so that the language of his music bears accent.
@stratocastermojo Yes, i agree. IMHO, In the past 20 yrs only Trucks & Sonny Landreth have really said something new on guitar. Everyone else seems to be rehashing the same pentatonics.
This dude, besides being possibly the best at slide there ever was, is such a humble man. The guy next door is one of the best there ever was!
I love what Derek Trucks says about the importance of listening -- a huge part of what makes him one of the greatest guitar players ever.
My favourite guitar player.

Almost there, and I feel they're the best live band out there right now :)

Derek Trucks is my favorite guitarist and his wife Susan is my favorite singer!!

the interviewer sitting to an ottoman with his back to the table is hilarious
Thns for this one *****
What date was this recorded? Thanks Musiciansfriend!
This might be the worst interview of all time. This guy is so creepy.
So different from John Mayer who loves the smell of his own fart. How can rolling stones put them together?
Lerlo I have only just seen this comment and I must say it’s one of the best comments I have ever seen, brilliant.
I really wanna watch this video but the interviewer is a tad creepy... And awkward... I think I'm just gonna have to do a few minutes at a time...
