    Best and most practical S Three review I've come across. Loved the sizing reference this is exactly what I found . I'm a 44 in Addidas 360's and in S Three I need to go down to 43. The review would have been even more impactful after wearing in wet conditions to test the waterproofing !! I actually had a bad experience with Ecco Biom Hybrid 3 that let water in after 1st test in rain . Great review though - appreciated Tom

      Thanks a lot, I'll see if I can manage a wet weather test one of these days. I've found them good up to now, but I hear what you're saying.

    Good review glad I watched it. I bought a pair of dark grey today. I’m an 8 in schechers, 8.5 in Adidas. Tried the 42 and it was too big, it says UK 8.5 in the shoe. Purchased 41 which says uk 7.5 in the shoe. It fits perfect with the insole out and is slightly snug with the insole in. The leather is really soft and I think with the insole in they will be perfect after a few rounds of golf. Really nice shoe which can be worn most of the time in the uk.

      Thanks Steve, glad I could help, I'm sure you'll love them, Ecco don't muck about with shoes, they know what they're doing.

      Update..... I have used the S Three a few times now, the leather has given a bit and they now fit perfectly. After a wipe with a cloth they look brand new as the very supple leather doesn’t crease up.
      The grip is excellent and I will keep wearing these shoes through autumn into the winter.

      Update - the first pair of S3 the sole started peeling away at the front of the shoes, after a few months Ecco replaced them. Due to lockdowns I didn’t start wearing the new replacement shoes until summer 2021, after approx 4 to 5 months wear they look like they have been worn for 10 years as all the colouring has come of the leather at the front of the shoe, presumably caused by walking through dry grass. The shoes are still very comfortable and waterproof but look like I have worn them for about 10 years. My playing partners and even a starter at a golf club during an Open comment on my “ancient “ shoes. I contacted Ecco but they are not interested. I will continue to wear the shoes when having a few practice holes in the evening or for use when gardening at home. In future I will stick to Footjoy, Adidas or Sketchers as they still look decent until they are worn out after a few years use.
      If I could figure out how to upload a photo I would.

    You should always try the left shoe because your left foot is a little bigger than your right.

    • @golffm6924

      Wow, I tell you what, I am learning stuff I never dreamed of doing this. Just looked that up and seems you might have something, well I never... I will be encouraging all my customers to try their left foot first from now on. Why has it taken this long to find that out. If you've got any other beauties like that let me know immediately please! Thanks.

    Beside how comfortable this is, how is stability and support of this shoe?

    • @golffm6924
      @golffm6924  4 года назад

      The need for stability in a golf shoe is a debatable subject. Bear in mind you can hit very good golf shots in bare feet! They need to be grippy, so that you don't slide, slip or move when you don't want to but you need them to be soft and supple enough to allow your feet to move dynamically during the swing. Do I would say during the swing tge Eccos are stable enough but there may be shoes available that are more stable. What you have decide is whether stability is more important to you. I feel walking comfort, grip, breathability and waterproofness are the features most important to me.

    Nice review, I have always found Ecco to be the most comfortable shoe from all manufacturers,. Never had a problem with sizing, I am usually between a 9.5 and 10 and the 44 fits perfectly. Pity they don't do s boa version

    Hi, can do comparison between S Three and Biom cool pro? I’m looking for walking comfortable, soft, light and waterproof.

    • @golffm6924
      @golffm6924  4 года назад

      Hi , I'll see if I can Ecco to send me a pair to compare. I must admit I dont know the Cool Pro but I wouldn't describe the S Three as ultra lightweight, it is light, very comfortable and as waterproof as you can get in a normal shape shoe If you go lighter I think you would be giving up long distance walking comfort which is not ideal for golf

    • @laisoon138
      @laisoon138 4 года назад

      GOLF FM noted with thanks. Agreed with your point. I will try and see. Before I’m used a spike ness , rigid sole golf shoes for 18 holes game, until my leg injury only I know the important of comfortable. Thanks your review bro, good information. Base on your video, I can see it provide comfortable better than many golf shoes in the market.

    I have several Nike shoes, all 11 (10 UK and 45 EU). The Size chart of Ecco says that, as my larger foot is 27.7cm, I should buy a 43 from them. I am confused as I need to have an extra 2.0cm of free space between the foot and the tip of the shoe, and as I live in Buenos Aires it will be impossible for me to return them if the size is not correct. Will love your advice. Tks

    These or Footjoy Pro SL Carbon?

    • @golffm6924
      @golffm6924  4 года назад +1

      Eccos over Footjoy all day long as far as comfort goes. But if you prefer the FJs looks and they fit your foot well then they're still a really good shoe. But the quality and comfort of Eccos I think, is hard to beat.

    • @UnuckyXIII
      @UnuckyXIII 4 года назад +1

      GOLF FM I think both make aesthetically pleasing shoes, but I’ve not been able to get to a store to try the S-Three side-by-side with the Pro SL Carbon which might be the deciding factor, Ecco seem to get a lot of love when it comes to comfort though so I might just chance it and order them online.

    • @golffm6924
      @golffm6924  4 года назад

      @@UnuckyXIII There's something about the build quality of an Ecco that's different to Footjoy, its subtle but every part of the Eccos just seem really well made. I don't like using car analogies but I can't help feeling Eccos are like the Porsche of shoes.

  • @richardcarter4649

    I have to get some of these. I wear an 11 or 11.5 in my normal running shoes. Wide flat foot. I think the 45 is probably the correct size right?

    • @golffm6924
      @golffm6924  4 года назад

      Should be, in theory. Just make sure they're fairly snug as I say in the video, you don't want too much room in them when they're new or you'll just be sliding around in them. If you're ordering them online, just check there's a fairly straightforward returns policy with whoever you get them. Try a local Pro if you can, they should all price match if you give them the chance.

    Great review! I am just confused about which size to order online I have a 43 1/3 adidas size and 44 nike size... However footjoy I have to go down to 42 or 42,5 and many golf shoes seem to have very big sizes. Help would be MUCH appreciated.

    • @golffm6924
      @golffm6924  4 года назад

      @@mmldr9306 Yes totally suitable for winter. You won't get any better waterproofing this side of a wellie boot and the grip is easily good enough for all year round. 100% a winter shoe as well.
