It wasn’t the felts, the cymbal stand has an end where you have to screw on the piece so that it can hold the cymbal. The thing actually broke off.

A drum fail that is all too common in these videos are people with their equipment set up at 75° angles that just absolutely shows they do not know what the hell they're doing

Every drummer loses a stick every now and then. I'm a professional drummer for more than 40 years and my God, did I drop some sticks in those years! I still do! It comes with the job!! 😆
