    Bernie Sanders is 6 years older than Clinton, and 5 older than Trump. I would say jokes about age can be applied to all candidates.

      Apparently Bernie isn't a politician anymore, and instead has become God's gift to America.
      Not saying I support Donald or Hillary, but for god's sake pull your head out of your ass. Bernie is a politician. He does not care about the issues.
      However successful he is as a president, he is a politician, and he would lie his ass off if it meant getting elected.

      Yes, because that's his schtick. His persona. Please stop pretending that he cares about the middle class. I support him, but seriously, just stop.
      I said if it could get him elected that he would lie, not that he lies all the time.
      Even if Bernie did get elected, which he won't, unfortunately, it would just be Obama all over again. The republicans would just filibuster him to hell and he wouldn't be able to get anything done.

      No, really, that is interesting. No one I can think of is involved in as many scandals as the Clintons. Even Obama might get a conspiracy theory here and there, but still practically no scandals. Some of the scandals, like the email one, are *bound* to be incriminating. There is something going on with these people. And to think people want Hillary for president. *What a joke.* She would be 4 years of scandal, non-change, and corruption. Nothing else.

    • @thelogan4641

      No they haven't, there's a huge difference between having a private email account on google or hotmail and a building a private email server in your house.
      For one, no one would need a private server unless they are really nerdy or have something to hide.
      And to then divert all her classified emails onto her private server, seriously if anyone else had done that they would already be in jail by now.
      The server btw. has been hacked multiple times, which means god knows who can have god knows what kind of dirt on Hillary by now. Eastern European hackers are known to have hacked it, and it is quite likely that the Chinese have gotten access as well.
      And on top of that there's the whole question of intent, why on earth did she feel the need to divert her classified emails onto a private server, what was she hiding?

    • @kshemanadgir5843
      @kshemanadgir5843 8 лет назад +6

      Seth conveniently omitted (1)no other Secy of State had a SERVER, though others may have used a personal email account in addition to the secured *.gov account (2)the SERVER bypassed the *.gov system altogether -- shocking & amazing. also shocking & amazing that the American people don't see how shocking it is that an SoS used a private unsecured server (3)not only did she not have permission to use the server, nor turn over copies of all emails when she left, but she deleted 30,000 emails because "she and her staff determined they were not work emails". Who are they to determine that? Only the SD can determine what was personal and/or work. (4)the report stated that her server was hacked several times (5)she instructed her staff to remove "classified", copy paste and email out -- also a felony (6)why on earth would anyone believe Hillary now about anything?

      No they didn't have private email servers they had private email accounts. There is a difference.

    • @Xankirin
      @Xankirin 8 лет назад +6

      +WEAKKNEED Utterly incorrect. There is a massive difference between a private email *account* and a private email *server*. Not to mention that the previous offenders did this on a much smaller scale. The Clinton campaign is spinning this and lying, hoping that people are too stupid to tell the difference. An indictment is more likely than some would realize. This woman will sink the Democratic Party.

    • @TheMsChif
      @TheMsChif 8 лет назад

      People are not stupid they are just naive and being lied to by MSM who fail to go into the real truth and the difference between what colin powell did and what Hillary did. She will now want us to believe she is not corrupt but inept? We all know she is a liar so maybe an inept liar is a double negative good thing?

    • @TheMsChif
      @TheMsChif 8 лет назад

      WEAKKNEED Rice did NOT use email when she was SOS and both Powell and Rice spoke with the IG about their email use where Hillary and her gang REFUSED! Email use was tightened after Powell and during Clinton's time as SOS. She lied repeatedly and said she had permission to use her own email and the IG report clearly states she had NO permission nor was any permission ever asked.
      Clinton did NOT turn over her email when she left, which is the rule of any department in the government. When asked for her emails, she deleted over half of them and all of the emails from her first 4 months as SOS were missing as well as all of the emails from Pagliano, but 22 Top Secret emails were found. Another email from Clinton to her aides, finds her instructing them to remove the classification on an email and send it unsecure. There is no way the Clinton Crime Camp will be able to spin this to the FBI, they may fool the less aware public, but their time is coming. #DropOutHillary

      There's a LOT of things that should be, but aren't because nobody cares outside of when its controversial.
      Notice how no major changes were made in policy after Benghazi? You'd think that the fact Republicans have harped on it for years that somebody might have said "Let's actually prevent it from happening again instead of just being angry that it happened."
      Let's see how angry the Trump and Bern supporters are two months from now about how absolutely stupid and broken the primary/caucus situation is. My guess is it won't matter to anyone for another four years.
      Don't like it? Petition for a policy change, start an organization and write w congressman. Get donors and create a super PAC. Or...just complain on RUclips.

      Seth is unbiased but he left out key information about her inconsistencies and lies on this - how the server was hacked, how lower officials at the State Dept complained about the server but were told to shut up and how Hillary and aides refused to cooperate with the IG investigation. He also falsely equates the previous secretaries' emails with her use uniquely of a PRIVATE EMAIL SERVER. This allowed her to circumvent Freedom of Information law suits and Congressional subpoenas of documents. And then the 30,000 plus emails deleted which she said were all personal which has been proved false.

    The lesson to be learned from this clip is that whenever Seth Meyers start talking about Hillary or Bernie, turn off your TV or your computer, go out and do something meaningful like watching traffic and let Seth Meyers embarrass himself in front of as few people as possible selling out to the suits running his show and contributing a fair shair of the income to Hillary's campaign. Which we all can be sure, is what he would've wanted if he could choose and somehow secretly tell us.
    Most of the time Seth Meyers is a functional talk show host and a good one too, but once in a while, NBC has him do a North Korean schoolplay for Hillary like this video. Man oh man this is twisted propaganda. The email scandal wouldn't be a scandal, like it actually says in the title, if it was just about Hillary "not taking the trouble to get another email address for personal use", poor old woman. My FUCKING GOD the shamelessness she has to have to say that and even repeat it. Then NBC has her saying it 15 times in this video. Here's what happened: She willfully rammed her entire communication with the surrounding world away from public light into a privately maintained computer system in her home, with her email server having been installed in the wall in her fucking bathroom wall to hide her using her position (AS USUAL!!! FOR WHICH SHE ALSO WAS INVESTIGATED BY THE FBI IN 1993) as foreign minister to extract BILLIONS in DONATIONS to the Clinton Foundation, for which SHE'S ***ALSO*** BEING INVESIGATED BY THE FBI. She's erased tens of thousands of emails from fear of being exposed. She refused to deny wiping the disks because she didn't know what the FBI would find out, so she joked and look angrily at the guy who asked and did washing motions with her hands and said "you mean like this"? Then she laughed condescendingly and walked away.
    The lying she's done on record since day 1 of this scandal is enough be indicted by the FBI and imprisoned. She's lied so much all her life she has no control over it. She would've have had to step down from running if there was a functional media in USA, but there isn't - at all. There's just Mika and Morning Joe on MSNBC, they treated this story the way it was supposed to be treated. Mika slammed her fist in the table and called her a pathological lior yesterday, the kind that pisses you off because they're the kind that LOVE to lie and get a kick from fooling you and a kick from showing you little he/she cares about you if you don't buy into it. We're mostly all losers in her dumb little world of mind games and power games because we don't get how cool it is to lie.
    It's sad you have to betray common decency, not to mention the country, to keep your job, Seth. And it's sad that you go along with it.

      Here are the facts.
      1. Hillary sent and received classified material (even the name of an active CIA operative which is one of the most dangerous things you can do) on an UNSECURE device
      2. Even if the server was completely secure (which is wasn't at all), it was accessible by her IT guy with NO clearance, and another IT firm where the server was moved with employees with NO clearance and backup company
      3. The absolute minimum that should happen is she should permanently lose all security clearances
      4. Without top secret security clearance you can not be president
      She doesn't need to be indicted, or anything. They should strip the security clearance NOW and she should drop out of the presidential race. Then the FBI can continue finding all the crime and take as long as they need to put her in jail. PERIOD.
      Just one more note, Hillary keeps saying she is this foreign policy/security expert but we are supposed to believe she doesn't know the most basic rules and regulations for handling classified material. Either she is an expert and committed crimes or completely incompetent, which disqualifies anyone to be president.
      Check out the 'judicial watch' transcripts, and check out the old bengazi hearings (which I didn't look at because TYT and everyone was saying 'nothing to see'), well there is plenty to see there, Hillary was worse than Alberto Gonzalez and Don Rumsfeld at lying her ass off throughout all the hearings.
      Also Hillary and others will crucify innocent whistleblowers for the slightest infraction but she is supposed to get a pass for gross negligence. As Bernie says, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

      "Illegal server"? Since when did it become "illegal" to use a private server. According to the State Department audit it broke their rules but that does not make it illegal.
      A minor detail about the server issue.
      There is no evidence that her server was compromised, or hacked by anyone. There is evidence that an attempt was made twice, but in both cases, her IT team caught it and prevented the hack. However, the server that the State Department is saying she should have used was hacked multiple times and emails from that server have been released by wikileaks on numerous occasions. If I was a company looking for a cyber security firm and I had to choose between Clinton and the State Department, who do you think I would choose, the group that successfully protected their server, or the group that was hacked repeatedly?

So she has basically admitted to doing something highly illegal, but also destroyed most of the concrete evidence of said crimes (and possible treason/mass murder)

      Private email [address] is an address that only your inner circle know about and email you personal things. A private server is a machine on which emails are stored.
      Moving government emails from a secure server to your own personal server where they could more easily be hacked is what the issue is. In fact, a Romanian hacker is speaking with the FBI because he was able to hack the Clinton server and gain access to classified material.

    re: 4:55 ...personally I find the notion of our nuclear arsenal being backed by 1970s computing technology to be very comforting. That means it's had 40 years of limited development, probably as secure as Fort Knox, and not connected to any network that uses modern public standards. The more complex the software is (and software tends to grow in complexity the more capable its hardware is) the more likely it is to have a hard to locate security flaw.
    Also yeah...this email scandal is easily the lamest ongoing scandal there is. Hillary does something that millions of office workers do daily, mix work and home computers (counting cell phones too) to make up for office equipment inadequacy. Even if it's a federal crime, it may as well be jaywalking.

    • @DollyEstrada
      @DollyEstrada 8 лет назад +2

      Except she didn't just use her yahoo mail account to send sensitive government information, she paid a guy to come and build a private email server in her house. That seems very.. purposeful. Not like "oh jeez I just hate carrying two phones" she went to a lot of trouble to break those rules. And then to delete 30k emails as soon as she realizes she is in hot water? Who does that? She was either doing something wrong or she is not very bright, and I think she is a smart cookie so that leaves "doing something wrong".

    • @sarysa
      @sarysa 8 лет назад

      @Dolly Estrada
      As someone whose worst crimes have been speeding and jaywalking, I'd still delete a considerable number of emails if I were forced to make my email box public. There are certain things in my life that I just don't want getting out, i.e. the kind of things that would garner me harassment or would paint an image of me centered around politics or religion, or some other stuff.
      Politicians have it way worse...they have to craft this ridiculously positive and flawless image of themselves because they will get torn apart if they don't. Trump's an anomaly...he somehow crafted a lifetime image of himself that allowed him to get away with anything. Any other politician needs to hide how in bed with their donors they are, or financials that are legal but would draw criticism. (remember John Edwards' four figure haircuts?) It's symptomatic of a broken election system but I'm not going to single out Hillary for this...and btw, I'm not voting for her either. (probably gonna protest vote come November)
      BTW, Hillary wouldn't and shouldn't use a Yahoo email because the moment any wide-reaching exploit is discovered, her account would be hacked and leaked in a heartbeat. Also, the internet is still a chaotic place in terms of mingling one's work life and personal life...it was even more chaotic in 2008, and even in 2016 peoples' opinions are still evolving. For instance people are finally figuring out that one social network with all your friends, family, and co-workers isn't the greatest medium to talk about much of anything on. Heh.

    • @sarysa
      @sarysa 8 лет назад +1

      @Synth Ovine Actually, I'm comparing it to the frequent potential of corporate secrets getting out. Yes people do personal things on work hardware, but people also do a lot of work things on personal hardware. Yes it pales in comparison to the scope of the Secretary of State but even sec state's correspondences are going to be by far MOSTLY just mundane crap. Since I've never had the job I can't really comment further, but people who are appointed sec state are expected to have good judgement. The email scandal has been over a year of "something terrible might have happened" versus others which are "something terrible DID happen".
      I don't blame Seth for being tired of this story as well. The media should just wait for the FBI investigation to finish.
      Also, if she's a war criminal, then focus on her war crimes as a point of criticism. Why did Benghazi get demoted by this email crap?

      @swng314 8 лет назад

      Not true. Laws are passed by Congress. Congress didn't write any laws regarding email privacy. Those are rules set by the bureaucracy and executive branch; breaking them is a lesser issue.

      If you break the rules as a Wendy's employee you get fired. Why does that not apply here?

    • @swng314
      @swng314 8 лет назад

      Dev Dude If you're the boss at Wendy and you don't follow the rules, you don't go to jail.

    • @kerrywsmyth
      @kerrywsmyth 8 лет назад

      +Steven Wang There are LOTS of people in jail that have broken these "rules". They have no way of getting off on the supposed technicality of not being a real law due to not being passed by Congress. Therefore, they are exactly the same as real laws. Why is Hillary not subject to them? Should others not be subject to them?

    • @swng314
      @swng314 8 лет назад

      kerrywsmyth Because when you break rules set in the executive branch, the resulting consequences are a function of the discretion of people in charge in the executive branch - not set in stone as law.
      In other words, she has too many connections. And none of the people mad at her have enough power.

      I think private server in this context relates to private domains (gmail, hotmail etc. etc.) as opposed to public security/government domains. Misapplication of the word server IMO.

    Every time A Closer Look does a Donald Trump story, it trashes Donald Trump, but whenever it's a Hillary story it's always defending Hillary. I'd really prefer it if ACL would trash Trump and Hillary equally. I don't buy the conspiracy theories about Hillary Clinton and frankly would prefer her to be President over both Trump and Bernie, but Seth is too clearly partisan. That's not Seth's job. If she has questions to answer he should continue to make good jokes about her situation without letting her off the hook all the time. Edited to add: He's the same with President Obama.

In other words, for every 5 Trump jokes, he would counter with 5 Clinton jokes, so everyone would laugh! To this day I've never figured out if he was Democrat or Republican..cause we weren't supposed to know! This guy may as well have a 'DEMOCRAT FOREVER' sign tattooed on his forehead! GOD, I MISS JAY LENO!!

    The amazing thing about this email story to me is that Donald Trump does like 10 things a day that are far worse than this and we're supposed to all care about this freakin' story? I just... who cares? she used a private email server... like I can't imagine a more boring "scandal" that is virtually meaningless. It just shows how irrational the hatred of Hillary is that we're supposed to think this is a big deal. It's not.
    An actual crazy person is the nominee for President on the Republican side. That seems a bit more relevant.

      Thank you! I'm indifferent to Hillary Clinton mostly. While I do find some of her scandals troubling and while I find that she is rather corrupt, I will gladly vote for her over the actual crazy person on the Republican side.
      Besides, what politician isn't corrupt? Why is everyone acting like all of this is unique to solely Hillary Clinton?
      To quote another candidate: "The American people are sick and tired of hearing about these damn emails!"

Yet when the Secretary of State does this with Thousands of Top Secret Documents, they get to run for president. I think she needs to spend the next 10-20 years in fort leavenworth. #DropOutHillary
