I've had this track arranged for a long time, but never got around to uploading it. Since it was so short, I thought I'd wait till I have another longer track to upload and put this up to go with it, but I totally forgot about it and it got lost to the ether. Anyway, I wanted this intro to the chaos king fight, so it would build suspense to the main track.

Where did you learn to compose - any direction would be appreciated!! I love your style, and I'm trying to get better at it, but not sure wehre to turn to self-improve. Thanks!!
I grew up mainly playing piano, and liked to do piano covers of my favorite music. I don't have any formal training in composition, and my personal style is to just work out a tracks' bass line or chord progression, which will pretty much establish a song's entire structure for me. Then after that I go in and figure out melody and everything else is extra. Up till now, I still sketch out all my ideas on the piano first, and if it works there, then it can translate to an orchestra pretty easily for me.

I appreciate your feedback - honestly (and I don't think I'm alone in this) I think you should make some videos detailing your process in composition and the reasoning behind your musical decisions as you make them.
