    Incredible video. That orca was looking at you, they are curious but have no desire to attack. Must be so awesome to be that close to an Orca.

      There has never been a recorded attack on humans by orcas. They see us as equals and they just want to know what we're doing.

      Tip- 1: don't go near the head especially when it's feeding, you might scare it or you might end up in its mouth (it can't swallow you but you might find it difficult to get out of its mouth), 2: don't go near the tail, it might swat you by accident, and 3: depending where you are, get out of the water if there's bronze whaler sharks trailing the whale shark!

      I could, and I've seen them, they do not bother people, I guess we don't smell like marine life to them, that's why we are not prey to them. That would be a problem for humans, if we smelled like marine life, that would be a problem.

      There has never been a recorded case of a wild orca killing a human..The only deaths are from ones that were in captivity.

      @@rogerfournier3284 I don't believe it' smell. Orcas are one of only ten self aware animals on the planet. Including humans. They also have their own very developed language. That puts them in a very small group of about five other species on the planet. Basically just like us, they are very much aware of themselves as a group/individual, have emotions, can speak to each other, can learn, and are capable of rational.
      These things all together point to them learning over time (centuries) that for the most part not threatening, highly intelligent like them. This information is likely been passed down through generations.

      To look at the rear of the boat I see the Norwegian flag up . Orcas can also swim in the Norwegian fjords.

      I think these are resident orcas, so only eat fish not mammals (not that offshore or transients eat humans though).

    Fun fact.. You could dive straight in to the middle of a pod of 30 orcas and likely be in the safest place of the ocean.

    You could tell it was curious looking over. Makes me so sad to think of such intelligent and inquisitive creatures being trapped in concrete bath tubs where they are starved and forced to do tricks for the money makers.

    Amazing!!! I studied orcas and it is just amazing!!! They are so smart and bright!!! But maybe wearing a seal coloured wetsuit wasn't the greatest idea... but simply amazing!!!!!

      @@tomlathrop4094 Yea what he said makes no sense, He's just wearing black. So anything black a diver wears would make him look like a seal? Seals Don't have 2 arms and 2 legs. Orcas aren't dumb, they body and movement is way different from a seal. It's completely obvious

    I think Orcas realize humans as intelligent sentient creatures like themselves.
    I wonder if Orcas/dolphins have their own code of conduct when it comes to human interactions.
    It’s pretty amazing that animal that’s observed killing for fun doesn’t don’t do it to humans. At least non on record besides SeaWorld’s tragedy…

      A surfer got bitten and ended up with stitches. While the only fatalities have been in captivity, there have been attacks in the wild as well. Don't push the animals' buttons. Just don't. Respect their space.
