How to Make Mead - Pyment Mead - Grape Mead. Mead is honey and water, Melomel is fruit, honey and water, and a pyment is grape, honey and water. Confused yet? Well, it means a pyment is a melomel and that's a mead. So, you can call it grape mead, pyment, or grape melomel, all the same thing! We used our home grown grapes to make this pyment, and of course, no chemicals. We like it simple, and normally simpler is better!
