Hello, looks cool! Please tell me. In Guy Howard's book after "Backward Lock Step" I did not find a subsequent movement "Backward Walk". Perhaps you were guided by another book or invented yourself?
You can find examples of connecting step outside partner in Howard’s book. Figure Progressive Chasse, look under table to section “Precede”. Also in WDSF Syllabus we read: When two figures cannot be directly connected, a linking step (Timing S) may be used in Quickstep.
@@EgilsSmagris Thanks for the answer. Since you are familiar with WDSF Styllabus, you may also be familiar with WDSF Technique Books and may be able to answer my question. Are there any significant differences between Guy Howard and Walter Laird's books and WDSF Technique Books. Are there any new movements or differences in technique? I have been thinking about purchasing WDSF books for a long time, but none of my colleagues can tell me.
@@АлександрСипко-к7ц yes, there are differences (some good, some bad) and new figures. I use WDSF books mainly for understanding restricted syllabus. I suggest you first to download and look at WDSF syllabus, you can find there not only names of allowed figures, but also start position, finish position, timing and notes www.worlddancesport.org/Rule/Competition/General/Syllabus
Thank you. The "teaching steps" parts are exactly where the learning is.

I know this step! 1-4 of Natural Turn - with '4" being the extra pivot or spin to the R, and then the 5th step usually to the side. (SQQSS)
