@@seandabest6353 its his buff for Smash Ultimate. He can now eat and spit out projectiles and eating projectiles heals a small percentage, not game breaking but it's about fucking time Sakurai implemented it because its just right to do so (the eating and spitting mechanic from his games)
@Jarhead Only a few "projectiles" like Diddy's bananas & peanuts, Wario's bike and... I think that's all.
But Kirby couldn't swallow any of the Samus' projectiles.

I feel like they could've done a bit more with Dark Samus' character. I know she's an echo, but Dark Samus does have some unique abilities in Metroid Prime. She could have been the Isabelle to Samus' Villager.

They already had a move set with dark Samus assist trophy in smash 4 I wonder why they didn't just use that

if kirby had more air speed and a way to deal with ranged characters he would be alot more viable
Up Bs usually can cancel basic projectiles but is weak against charged ones, so you can cancel and push with up b
That's why Kirby's succ needs to be like it is in his games - meant to shoot out stars.
@@ToxicPea IT DOES. HE CAN SUCK UP PROJECTILES NOW. WHY DOES NO ONE REALIZE THIS? Though it only shoots a star if a projectile is particularly powerful.
Kirby's floatiness can be used to get some insane air combos that faster characters coldn't pull off though, if they made him faster in the air it would ruin a lot of his combo potential.
His up b is a decent projectile now but he still needs to be buffed

Yeah, they could stand to Dark Samus' up tilt a lot more. The hit box for that thing is gigantic. Sure the Kirby could've adapted to it, but it kills at higher percents and therefore only needs to connect a couple times during the match.

Barely any pressure missiles, alto of missed opportunities to go on the offensive and use Dark Samus's high damage output just to charge that damn power shot. WAY too reliant on the power shot, like he knows damn well you're gonna try the power shot and he's got everything he needs to dodge, absorb or reflect it. C'mon guy.
Not impressed by either player honestly. They arn't bad, but the community has some absolutely insane people.

6:00 - one difference is that Dark Samus's charge attack shoots lower to the ground than Samus's.
And Kirby's Charge even lower!

The SA-X seemed more threatening in metroid fusion than in this set.
fun stuff. seeing highlevel kirb play is interesting. RK does a lot of good stuff, but the second game had a lot of DAir on shield, which I catch myself doing sometimes. I like how he also uses rock as an edgeguard tool, tho.
Considering that Kirby is a cute little pink puff ball, he's a very versatile fighter with some great moves and a formidable foe.
he's way more powerful in his individual games then in smash, if everyone was in their own universe Kirby would slap the shit out of everyone else in smash combined

Dear Kirby Mains, what’s your biggest piece of advice: mine is hold down and press jump, to high jump. Master the art of high jump.
Mine is to master using your down b for rapid drops and also learn to set it up to land on people when you know there's no way for them to escape it, like when they're falling after an up air juggle and you're floating to let them fall under you, perfect time to strike.
Mine is to learn how to do combos and when those combos would be beneficial to the game. A single neutral a, up kick, up b can save the match. Another piece of advice is to know your matchup. Kirby is a character who can do really well with combos, and most of the time heavier characters are much easier to combo then lighter characters because of the distance they travel when getting hit. For example: you can only do a grab then combo on a Fox for so long before he is able to get out of the way, but you can keep doing combos on a Bowser for much longer.
@@pieturtle Really? I thought you could connect Down Air and then lots of Up tilts on Fox, even more than Bowser. Because Fox is a fast faller.

Listening to these two commentators slowly fall in love over the course of this video was quite adorable 😂. At the end, I felt like one of them HAD to have said something like, "Wanna go grab something to eat?" 😂

First time I saw a match played on three different stages. Great set.
That Dark samus was WAY too Up-B happy. That's something you do when you KNOW you can land it, not just throw out because thats what you do out of shield.
His opponent was also Kirby, who loves to get into close and exploit the opponent's lack of options in that range, so up B was an important tool in that matchup. I agree, a little too aggressive with it though.

insane to see the first char i played (samus) and now the forced second one in singleplayer (kerby). Havent played anyone else but jesus have i got a lot to learn
Everyone’s down on the Dark Samus but the Kirby play wasn’t spotless either. RK even states himself he wasn’t proud of his play later.
Also, I finally realized why I airdodged at ledge there. Controller had a random downward drift for like a week or so, and I was trying to roll onstage. Replaced my controller now, tho.

I must say that I didn't see enough spikes, Kirby's are particularly powerful, if the first spike doesn't do the job then the second can come right after and you can still recover when used smartly

I like watching these videos with Kirby cause it helps me learn a lot of combos. I didn't even know Kirby could spit a projectile back out. I thought he just eats it.

Fix the title, please. It's SA-X, not S-AX. The T.O. or whoever entered names in the banner put it in as S-AX, but the player is the ultimate authority on how to write their own name, and the name tag in-game is SA-X.
S-AX had some really slow reactions which lead to a lot of whiffs and oughta-been-whiffeds. I love samus/dsamus and wanna see S-AX improve so samus can have some higher level representation!
Not great play from SA-X, a lot of it not knowing the match up but still. Too passive when Kirby is floating above, when you can be charging or threatening with up airs. Couldn't find an answer to inhale, when grabs or better spaces dairs or just take the time to get a full charge shot when Kirby sits with the mouth open.
A lot of liberal use of up b to anti air, which Kirby will always just float waiting for the opponent to over commit and you can't over commit more than that.
A lot of dash attacks in neutral when you need to be a bit more conservative with it coming from 4.
Still, nice representation, keep it up.

Dark samus needs a SA-X skin
Dark Samus needs a separate move set.
Neutral B: dark Samus fires a phazon beam. It can be charged. The beam is long and is similar to the design in metroid prime 2.
Side B: fires a phazon scattershot.
Up B: a recovery move similar to fox's up b. If it is aim towards the ground or an opponent directly, it will cause an explosion. Any opponent within the blast radius will take damage. This move is a kill option.
Down B: dark Samus will turn invisible. (This is good during online play). If this is done against Samus (regular Samus), then the person controlling Samus will have his/her screen change to the echo visor.
Dash attack: dark Samus will dash forward in morph ball mode. ( this is similar to the morph ball attack during the elevator fight in metroid prime 2 echoes).
Up smash: same animation as before but five phazon orbs will come out. These are homing projectiles.
These are all the ideas I have.
I main Dark Samus, and this outcome seems about right. Samus' lack of combo game seriously hurt her transferring from Wii U to Ultimate
