Finding him was like a diamond in the rough because his impersonations/comedy skits are PURE gold and he also is very knowledgeable and level headed about most takes. Completely the opposite of a personality like Skip Bayless or Colin Cowherd who is intentionally having wild takes to create controversial viral moments smh. It's a act.

Yeah, the fact that an OL is coaching the QB’s and running the Offense. Dude has had absolutely no business in that job. Should be coaching O-line or a used car salesman. You can see by the look on his face on the sidelines that he is in WAAAAYYYYY over his head.

@@buzzwc7388 Before Brian was the OC he did in fact coach o-line here and had good success. Now that he switched to Qb/OC our o-line has fallen off a cliff. Most Iowa fans do agree that there will be no big change with the offense until Kirk is no longer HC. Hopefully when we fire his son this off-season Kirk walks with him and saves us the buyout money. Iowa football needs a new direction with re-alignment and no more divisions

@jtorola that's a piss poor excuse for defending Minnesota and the refs. Iowa kept it close all game and ultimately made the winning play.
Last year, same Ref called Jack Campbell out of bounds on his interception that he ran into the endzone.

Because even when something is ‘in the books’ it doesn’t get enforced ever. You can read the rule all you want. The point of the rule is so that one team doesn’t get an unfair advantage over another team. Did any players on Minnesota slow up because cooper was waving people away from the ball? No they didn’t. Why? Because nobody on that defense thought he was waiving for a fair catch. No referees (one of which MUST watch the punt returner, its literally his job) said that he made an illegal signal during the play. Just some lone loser probably from Minnesota that was sitting in a replay booth figuring out how he can salvage the loss for Minnesota.
I’m 50 plus years old. I’ve watched football both college and NFL for as long as I can remember. I have NEVER and I do mean NEVER seen this call made in the manner it was made. As a matter of fact I know of two other games that I watched the same day where the returner waived off his guys then fielded the ball and advanced it. Guess what…no flags. Because that is what a real ref decides, did this give them an unfair advantage? No, then it isn’t a penalty.

1. Iowa did not win. You can't fake a fair catch, even unintentionally.

3. PJ's seat is very cool. He isn't going anywhere.

After this win he got at least 3 more years before their is talk at his seat,unless something bad happens, if the team wins the Wisconsin game add more 3 more years to that, if we get two big ten championship game what ever happens in that game add 5 more years. if lose by 50 points cut 5 into 3 more years at least his seat is mild.

As a Minnesotan, and MN fan, this is hilarious. We don't get many wins in our sports/athletic endeavours, so when we get them, whichever way it may be, we have to enjoy them lol
I mean, the Gophers are in a good era for athletics the past few years. Football has been better under Fleck. We suck at basketball, but hockey is still great, volleyball is good, and we had the greatest heavyweight wrestler in the world in his prime for a few years

Invalid fair catch is different in the NCAA. It's not a penalty, the play is just supposed to be blown dead. Also, the defense is allowed to hit the returner in both the NFL and NCAA if it is an invalid fair catch.

I don't know why people can't grasp the concept that is was called an INVALID fair catch. So no there wouldn't be a penalty for Minnesota tackling him. Happened in the Purdue/OSU game in 2021

Let's not forget that Tim O'Dey is also the same referee who got the call wrong last year in the Iowa vs. Minnesota game when he blew dead Iowa's game winning INT return. Hawks still won that game, but that doesn't excuse the fact that he got the call very wrong. Tim O'Dey was also the head of the officiating crew that was suspended for incorrectly awarding Central Michigan an untimed down against Oklahoma State that allowed Central Michigan to win the game. I don't understand how a guy who has a history of making poor calls in MASSIVE moments can continue to be the head of officiating crews like that.
