It does look suspicious, but he actually only does 1 dolphin kick. There’s a bit of upward movement from his feet AFTER that dolphin kick but that’s because his legs are getting back into streamline, but the movement doesn’t give him an advantage. So I think it’s legal.
@@MaxSwims I don't think that movement is what he's talking about. If you look hard, you can see Emre doing a dolphin kick BEFORE his actual kick. If you count that movement that you're talking about, it would be 3 dolphin kicks

This was a very well made video. I love the full breakdown of his stroke. One thing I would disagree with though, would be his stroke rate at the end of the race. While it did slow down, it wasn’t without reason. Because he slowed it down a little bit, he was able to time his finish so that he would end on a full stroke and not a half. Just something I noticed
Great comment, I agree with you! It’s quite difficult to adjust your stroke rate when you’re trying to ‘spot’ the wall, but he did it well and didn’t really slow down. Glad you enjoyed the video 👍🏼
You are really good! I hope your channel grow up quickly! I'm from Brazil and teach about swimming too! Maybe someday we can do some videos together! I wish you the best
Some pointers are off and misinfo: You can't train fast twitch muscles, you have to be born with the fibres. No amount of training can give you fast twitch muscles. What is "hip lift"?? FYI, everyone will do a surface dolphin at the point of plunging into the water. It is what causes that big splash (contrary to popular belief that it is because of breaking of water surface) and it is the only way to achieve that insane gliding speed and distance. How do you know he lost speed at the backend? SR does not equates to speed, there are many other factors and contributors to TES. From the way it is, its an awesome backend leg. He has timed his last 3 strokes to be inclusive of a quick stroke finish which gives him no wasted energy and just being much more efficient. You are just bringing that age old proven topic of "quick stroke finish vs glide in finish" all over again.
Thank you for a brilliant break down of his style and why he had such a fast time. Doing ‘style correction/inprovement of my breast stroke and really find your videos extremely practical and helpfull. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
In breaststroke, you are allowed one underwater dolphin kick maximum but some people think that Sakci does two each way. Many FINA officials would have reviewed this race as it is a world record, and because they allowed it I have to assume that it is legal (although it does look fishy)
The other thing you could have added was his stroke count. He went out in 7 strokes and back in 13... I used aim for 7/11 when I was competing. As you say his finish could be improved. I suspect he tired and didn't get his red zone right.
😂😂😂 count strokes one more time Clearly you didn't watch the video Even if adding pullout strokes its 7/10. If not - 6/9. Where you got 13 at back end?
On the one hand, he mentions the awkward head up finish of the last stroke and on the other hand he mentions the record will not be broken for a long time... Sounds a bit contradictory to me.
Even though he made a mistake, the time is still way faster than anyone has ever gone before in this event. It was the smallest mistake he could have made too.
peaty could beat this pretty much at will imo. Yes it was an outstanding swim, really well analysed however with a good start, peaty is so much faster than anyone else he would destroy this record if he tepered for it. Id wager peatys long course 100 breastroke record will outlive this shortcourse record

Solid analysis.
That shouldve been a DQ tbh
Why?
@@MaxSwims underwater off the dive shows a relatively clear double dolphin kick

It says 5000
