"Hello, Everything Is Not OK" (Instrumental) (a demo of "10 Miles High").
Available on Apple Music, a demo of "10 Miles High" without vocals.
A song that has a sample from The Downward Spiral, made in The Fragile era, with lyrics reused in Hesitation Marks, that has guitar riffs that sounds like Broken, and has drums that sounds like something out of Ghosts I-IV... This might be the pinnacle NIN song.
@Ben Dover The song The Downward Sprial on the album The Downward Spiral, around 1 minute 5 seconds.
@@aldude999 Good spotting, knew it sounded familiar.
Yeah the riff is very ‘Broken.’ Sped up a little it’s comparable to ‘Last,’ arguably NIN’s best guitar riff.
It’s just a variation of 10 miles high is what I hear.
@@Zazzaro703 Drums seem to be.
Remember the interview where Trent said he had people come in from the bars off Magazine street, and have them mumble nonsense?
The end of this version has to be it.
I like how there's a riff from I'm Looking Forward to Joining You, Finally in this version. The motifs across The Fragile are so cool
Totally. It’s like they’re musical neighbors stopping by to say hello
All Time Low
"Hey! Everything is not okay!"
That song used to be the original lyrics to this song before trent remade the song a bit
@@Spectresilencer True fact?
@@saintjabroni yeah I’m wondering the same. All I know is that All Time Low is a both a Bowie and (maybe) a reference to this track. It certainly makes sense.
@@saintjabroni We (me and the OP) are just presuming, but yeah. Trent said that 10 Miles High had 3 completely different lyrics during its creation. And when HM was released, he mentioned that "some of the records lyrics were originally written for the fragile". Connect the dots...
we lost too much along the way
Love this track it's a straight up grungy dirty jam out
1:10 10 miles high :)
That's funny cuz on The Fragile Deviations 1 this is titled 10 Miles High. lol.
Sounds more like a sample from Eraser off of The Downward Spiral / Further Down the Spiral to me.
well the beginning too
@@LunatiqHigh
It originally appeared in the instrumentals and outtakes version of The Fragile.
the first riff is also on the song if you hear closely and its on acoustic
nin made badass sound shame he was depressed
lyrics:
My nightmare's everywhere but inside
a living indication of every situation
but it seems i have neglected complication
hindered my salvation
but i try and i try and i try -
I TRIED TO GET SO HIGH
YOU'D NEVER GET INSIDE
I SWORE ID NEVER TURN INTO YOU
IM CLOSER ALL THE TIME
I MADE IT TEN MILES HIGH
CAN'T TELL THE TRUTH FROM MY LIES
I SWORE TO GOD I WOULD NEVER TURN INTO YOU
i'm getting closer
ALL THE TIME
what lyrics
@@icew0lf98 of the song this was made into, this song was formed into 10 Miles High
@@Spectresilencer and also All time low
God I love that hazy drowned out sound with the background singers. Then of course “tear it all down”… just perfect.
Damn that waterfall looks really nice ::)
BlinderTheRabbit Its in Iceland
I know
@@blindertherabbit lol oh of course. Every fan has to know EVERYTHING. The insecuity on display here is staggering. I didn't know know that, and I am a huge NIN fan. Guess what? We still have the capacity to learn.
@@theechothief5594 you might be overthinking this a bit haha. i used to be really obsessed with this album so i knew that lil detail about it, that's all :P
@@theechothief5594 the irony of this comment hahaha
Dawg why the fuck he not release any of this shit lol. This is way more fire than some of the songs he kept
Love this one!! Funky and sexy, still gritty!! Love me some Trent♡♡
I can hear a little Corona Radiata.
10 kilometers high
this is fucking badass, sounds exactly like the type of sound i'm trieing to go with on my electronic music
how come this is not the album cover?we never got to see the waterfall properly
I love getting high and listening to this, 10 MIles High and All Time Low.
Yes, I know the latter two are kinda anti-drug.
Everything is fine in the end
everything is fine
everything is everything
🤘🖤🤘
🖤
Alright 👍...
🖤
Oh my God. He included that TDS reference too.
I'm pretty sure the main riff is a reference to the riff in the main TDS track
ruclips.net/video/XaiE42wl5rs/видео.html me dice que el vídeo no esta disponible :( excelente trabajo como siempre :D
🙀
:)) ..yeeh :)))
cant find the instrumental version anywhere on here! =(
This is the instrumental version
FYI for anyone wondering: full lyrics were adapted into/rewritten/moved for a track on Hesitation Marks.
If you have to guess which one, don't try.
Why shouldn't I try? It must be All Time Low...
DING DING DING!
I'd never thought of it like that before. Trent _did_ say on a Q&A that 10 Miles High went through three completely different sets of lyrics. Seems so obvious now lol
Try 1.75x the speed.
Nice sound!
Makes me want to dance.
Literal dancing!
And sounds like murdering and beating the sh-t out of people.
EDM?
Running river..
