It's hilarious how amongst the final bosses, Gideon, Malenia, Maliketh and even Mogh, these mfs be blasting magic or have some powerful weapon arts, only for the penultimate boss to literally just be a fight game character as a second phase.
I was so relived when I realized that I wasn’t gonna be dealing with some gimmicky bs and just running hands with him😂

it was more about the fact that your flasks are almost gone from fighting Radagon and you are thrown into a big arena and just "survive long enough to kill it"

Godfrey, being the first ever Tarnished is actually the only person in the entire game that says the word with a tone of respect, if you remember Margit, he would spit that shit out like some racial slur, Kale, despite being nice, still was a bit concerned about your morality, Kenneth was unsure of the quality of your character, most of your fellow tarnished didn't see it as anything to be proud of either, even Melina didn't quite trust you for most of the journey
the only one that saw the nobility and self sacrifice that comes with being tarnished was Godfrey/Hoarah Loux, btw Hoarah Loux is one of the great tarnished spoken of in the intro cutscene, he was basically a wild beast only concerned with battle until queen Marika came along and tamed him, afterwards Hoarah Loux was given into the care of the King of Beasts Serosh who was bound to Hoarah Loux' back and thus would ironically keep his savagery in check, a beast teaching a human manners, allowing Hoarah Loux to take up the mantle of Lord, with proper table manners and knowing that you have to wipe after you shit and all that
there is actually very beautiful hentai doujin out there called "At the base of the Erdtree" by Aoin with absolutely stunning art that, while non-canon, does depict a bit of the bittersweet relationship Godfrey and Marika might have shared, it's very short (23 pages) and very cute with a pretty somber ending, if you're even just vaguely interested in romance stuff i can definitely recommend reading it
Always coming in clutch with the lore. The whole lion thing intrigued me so I looked it up while I was editing this episode. I wonder why Margit is so racist towards tarnished since his father is one himself. Are tarnished usually just scumbags?
@@JY_TheKai Margit or rather Morgott went through a lot during the war, lots of loss and betrayal, he now blames himself and the tarnished for everything, we're just the perfect outlet for him to destress a bit
the main reason why tarnished are hated is because they're very dangerous, they're basically extensions of the Greater Will with the sole purpose of killing everything that contains a shard of the Elden Ring or anyone that stands in the way of that purpose, they then bring those shards to the Erdtree to restore the ring, most enemies attack you because you are very scary and might attack you, they fear you because killing you won't be enough to deter you from ending them, imagine someone coming into your house wanting to kill you, you manage to take them out first but 5 minutes later they are back and this time they know the interior of your house and where you're hiding, no matter how many times you get rid of them, they just show up again 5 minutes later

@JY_TheKai makes sense, also Horah Loux is the Chieftain of the badlands, from the intro. Back in his earliest days he was a savage warrior in need of battle. When he became lord Godfrey, he took the beast region Saraoh on his back to suppress his need for battle.

Oh I’ve used that axe almost the whole playthrough I just rarely used it on bosses unless they really give me trouble

I leveled my vigor a lot😂 also have a talisman that gives me more health
You might want to try leveling the attributes for the weapon you are using. Also upgrade your weapon to +10/+25. You aren't using like half of the mechanics of the game.
I upgraded all my weapons when I got to farum azula. And wym level the attributes?
@@JY_TheKai Level up option when you rest at a site of grace. Each weapon has attributes it scales with; usually Strength or Dexterity, but some weapons and/or infusions also raise damage with increased Faith, Intelligence, or Arcane. Each attribute the weapon scales with will be provided by a letter, with S being the highest and E being the lowest. Also if you 2 hand a weapon that scales with Strength, you get a 50% bonus for Strength on that weapon. That is why you see so many 2 handed heavy armor guys in PvP. Effectively you can have 90 Strength with only 60 if you 2 hand.
Running a Dex/Faith build rn, has it's ups and downs but even on NG+3 with the enemy bonus to damage negation, I'm hitting WAAAAY harder than you are my guy.
Also never neglect Vigor. Make sure you have a MINIMUM 40 Vigor. It's best to have 60, no more, no less. But sometimes you need those few attribute points somewhere else, so 50 or 55 is pretty acceptable.

@@JY_TheKai I did the same thing too, but really should stick to 1 or 2 stats for damage. If you want casting, then one of those should be Faith or Intelligence. This is all assuming a RL of 125ish. If you go higher level like 300 then you can max 3 stats at 80 if you wish.
