    I just searched for over an hour to try and find out why some of the air dry clays are so light weight and if I should use the super light weight air dry crayola “clay” or the orange like colored clay to make the flower molds for my dresser. Thank you so much for all of this information!

    Great tips on how to keep the moisture in opened, stored clay. I would not have thought of adding a wipe. I'd have just put the clay bag in a sealed plastic bag.

    Loving your videos so helpful as just starting out on clay flowers with moulds do I have to use cornflower in the small moulds as you do with when making sugar flowers ,so the clay comes out better ,bought your books too loving the way they turn out thank you again for all your help jakki

      @KatySueDesigns  2 года назад +1

      Hi Jakki, we're so happy you're enjoying your flower making. If you are having any issues releasing the clay from the mould then yes you can use a little cornflour before using the mould 💚

    Hi Nicholas I saw the Katy Sue products and just had to get them. I have been making paper and Foamiran flowers mainly roses so I wanted to try some Air Clay as I have never made any. I have bought quite few moulds but can ordinary cutters and dies be used also. Thank you for introducing me to a new hobby. xxx

    Can hearty clay be waterproof for outdoor xx love videos xxx

    • @KatySueDesigns
      @KatySueDesigns  2 года назад

      Hi Debbie, air drying clay can still absorb moisture when dried so could become soft if left out in the rain for instance. You could varnish the clay to make it water resistant but this may change the look of your project. Generally it is best to display air drying clay flowers indoors, hope that helps :)

    Can you paint with alcohol / pearl dust ?

    • @KatySueDesigns
      @KatySueDesigns  Месяц назад

      You can mix edible dusts with a little alcohol but will give a very different look. The dusts are a lot more subtle and allow you to gradually increase intensity of the colour from the natural paste colour to full dense dusted colour.

    Hi I’ve been using the Hearty Clay and have a question about it. How do stick dry clay to dry clay? Glue? I used your peony mold but let the outside petals dry over a former. Now I’m having difficulty attaching them to the dry centre.

    • @KatySueDesigns
      @KatySueDesigns  2 года назад

      Hi, yes if the petals are not wired then a PVA glue should work fine in securing clay to clay. Let us know how you get on with your project

    • @janisslowey
      @janisslowey 2 года назад

      @@KatySueDesigns Thank you, gave up on that as didn’t stick well. I used fresh petals and they stuck to dry clay (but couldn’t have them shaped as I wished).
