A real bed length of 80”! Finally. But I’d never buy a coach from a manufacturer that voids warranty for full time living, seems like that would prove lack of confidence in their quality
Google: What new motorhome's warranties exclude full-timers? Answer: most. If you want a full-timers warranty, check into extended warranties endorsed by Escapees or FMCA and tell the agent you are a full-timer.
My neighbours have had this model for years & have been full timing in it in BC. It’s done more island hopping than I have. You should have opened the bottom drawer in the bathroom, it’s typically a clothes hamper.
Finally somebody does a good wet bay, good 12v compressor fridge, convection microwave instead of an oven, pull out drawers under the dinette… I like it a lot!
Things we liked: 1-piece fiberglass roof, AZDEL, 60x80 Queen Bed. Things we didn't like: too long, super slide. We do spend more than 6 months on the road a year and are currently looking for a Class C like this. Our most preferred features are those that we liked above, so, Forest River is great! We prefer staying small though for maneuverability, 25'-28'. Vicki likes a couch slide, but it seems all slides eventually give you problems and super slides are the worst to deal with. Good Production and Entertaining Video as usual!
Things I liked: 1) usability with the slide in 2) Sky lights 3) Pocket door and bathroom setup Dislikes: 1) No bumper with stinky slinky storage 2) Funky door on outside TV (should swing up) 3) general lack of storage and funky garbage door outside.
Hi Matt and Andrea! My likes are the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. My dislikes the bunk and the twisted doors on storage doors. And the door for the tv outside. Thank you for showing this Rv.
Hi to you two. Like The storage in all the rooms and the kitchen counter space. Don't like accordion door for the bedroom, prefer a solid door. Also don't like the placement of the TV indoors. Who wants to crank their head around to watch a TV.
Nice floor plan. Big kitchen, pantry, love the split bathroom w sink outside. It is a small shower…..sorry Matt. Will would not have passed it. Overall, a great unit
I like the bathroom with the sink across, the amount of bedroom cabinets (with the under rhe bed area), the kitchen size, and the sky lights. I dislike the step, the non-reclining passenger seat, and the TV position is a deal breaker. I do like the replaceable mini curtains.
Would love to see slightly smaller dinette with a televator in front of window. OR no dinette, fireplace with tv televator and a pull out table. Keep chairs in a closet. as for the valances, I like em. Easy to change to match any decorating you want to do.
2nd now in 2 Days love great sized. Same Brand different models. Love cabinets bath bedroom storage much more room. Love this natural light the trim sky lights extra room. Yes Sale Prices. ❤️
That’s a pretty decent price for that motor home! Also love the skylights, the nice size of the bathroom, and the outside access to the trash can. Not liking the outside tv. I honestly never like outside TVs, though. I don’t go camping to watch tv. No other dislikes, though. It’s pretty nice as-is.😁
@@uowebfoot fiberglass roof and AZDEL are not cheap materials. That's where most manufacturers scrimp, excepting most notably Winnebago & Forest River in this price range. You're right about the interior trim, though, and that's where buying used will save you the headache of having those things fixed under warranty. Of course, buying used also saves a bunch of depreciation.
The bunk was an odd size. 440lbs Seriously? All it takes ai a little bit thicker plywood as the base to mattress. I'm betting Entegra uses 3/4 inch plywood where as this is probably 7/16 or 1/2 inch, the difference is pretty nickel dime price wise. No excuse for it.
I bought a 2019 same layout I hate my sky light puts lots of heat in camper causing air conditioner to work harder can not find sliding shades to fit them also trying to watch the TV over bunk you get glare from skylight. Plenty of storage for clothes with 2 cabinets for husband and wife. Bathroom is little two small hit your head on wall when getting off pot plenty of outside storage. Workmanship isn't the best quality. But I still love are sunseeker.
I love the kitchen layout, the over the cab bunk, and the large sink. I hate the step up into the bath area (I would fall and break something), it needs a kingsize bed, and I don't like the booth. I thought the price was pretty good though.
I think this is the one I want if I could at least have a washer. Not a combo though. Hate the twisty things on outside. They are way too small for my arthritic hands. Maybe I'll keep looking just a little more. Really like inside though.
Check out the Leprechaun 377FS. Matt does a video on it, has a washer and dryer, is quite spacious, and two years ago was priced around 70k. Could be lower today.
Dislikes: Exterior doors open down instead of sideways; Exterior TV door opens down - nothing to prevent sun glare; No bumper to store sewer hose; Couch too close to passenger seat preventing recline; Poor placement of TV; Step up going into bedroom. Likes: 12 Volt refrigerator; Kitchen storage; Split bathroom.
Like the bedroom lay out, like that it comes with the solar, like the kitchen. Dislike the tv placement, dislike the mid entry because the co captain can NOT lean back that was a deal breaker for us when we looked at them.
3 things we like, the Winnebago Revel out the front window, is NUMBER 1, The Big Bathroom sink with skylight! NUMBER 2, The Kitchen, Counter, Space, Fridge, Pullout Pantry, NUMBER 3. 3 things we Don't Like about this unit, it is not the Winnebago Revel out the front window........Slide out and the bunk over the cab, (also the storage doors..), sorry that is 4!
Matt, I see all the screws attaching the fiberglass roof, I'm guessing they're potential leak areas, any experience with those? I know jayco/entegra do roof different with curved over side
My only problem with the "RV Community" talking politics is it appears most think everyone in California smokes pot, drives terrible, and lives on welfare. They don't get that California is very conservative in certain parts of the state and they are missing out on some of the most beautiful places in the USA to travel.
Loads of full timers don't have washer dryer. we have the combo washer dryer unit and it sucks so bad we just took it out cuz we could use the storage.
Was just in one of these, seemed very small for how large they are exterior wise. From the booth you can stretch and touch everything, bathroom door, kitchen, driver seat. A 32-35' class A is better imo
I think this is a great product and a great layout. Our friends have the Forester version of this (2019 year). We’ve traveled with them and been in it for about 10 trips and it works really well. Very well made coach. They don’t have the outside TV and they have a rear bumper but everything else is very similar. We were torn between buying this model last summer but opted for a small Winnebago class A. Three likes: the bathroom has plenty of room with the sink outside the bathroom. Lots of storage inside a spacious bedroom Very decent cargo carrying capacity . Three dislikes: I don’t like the extra skylight in the living area. From personal experience, it allows too much heat in the summer time. The passenger seat is a little tight. Can’t recline the seat back at all. The outside TV door could be a problem. You have to be very careful with it. I also don’t like the trim on the bottom of the slideout. Thank you for this video. This is a great coach at an excellent price
There is a lot to like with the space, bed that doesn't fold for the slide, skylight panels, and capacity with improved efficiency of the Ford V8 over the V10. While I would love over a Transit of Mercedes C Class platform it also represents my dislike for not this model but Ford E Series and Chevy chassis Class C's in general. With Forest River reviewing comments, perhaps will take a step back and look critically at the product. Never expressed this in writing before, but the Ford/Chevy chassis builds just seem dated and manufacturers are loath to make changes. Examples: Not Truma instant hot water but the 6 gal water of yesteryear prevails. While valences are OK and didn't get a reaction out of Andrea, piping edges in the upholstery - worse yet standing out with contrasting color - REALLY??? it is so 1960's. Nice to see finally got the 190w solar on roof as an option (specs don't state inverter capacity or battery capacity and no lithium option) for future upgrade to levels available in transits and sprinters after years of this chassis only offering "solar prep" or worse, the side connecting portable solar. Finally, what were they thinking with the floorplan design not moving the door up to allow the passenger seat to recline and adjustment which also legated both swiveling and enhancing the living area. Biggest recommendation to manufacturers is take a blank sheet critical look at the offering and not be afraid to step away from the same old production/ordering template. Then thing would really get exciting!
tv door could even just have couple cables on it so it folds down like a table in front of tv, still hate twisty locks too, but regardless, just adding those to cables so tv door can be a table surface instead of hang down, problem solved.
My don’t likes are the sofa, rather have two recliners, tiny TV and need a residential fridge if living in it full time and a king size bed for a king size husband. Love the kitchen, that it is a Class C, easy to drive and awning area.
Only one comment is needed here... Forest River doesn't warranty this for full time use... Can't be perfect for fulltime RVing if the manufacturer will void the warranty if used that way... Maybe be honest with your videos and state that in the beginning
How did I know twisty locks would be on your typical repetitive list. Want better locks, buy a more expensive RV. As far as the TV, if you have the door go up, it then blocks the window. There's consequences. You would have dinged it for that if they had it go up, so would be a now win situation. I guess could just not give you an outdoor TV!
Does anyone else strongly dislike the floors? The Foresters and Sunseekers have such great layouts, but I can’t get over those floors, which I think are quite busy.
So you buy something use something and that voids your warranty? That's like saying I watch my TV all day so I got no warranty . I drive my car every day from work and home voids my warranty. I love in my house full time so I voided my warranty. That's something that needs to be changed by the manufacturers or build a tougher product if they're worried about people living in something time
Sadly, if you want to travel in a motorhome, you need to have a “toad” to go “touring” while having a base camp set up. Many aren’t ready to pull a vehicle and not all vehicles can be flat towed. It is different than pulling a travel trailer. It is more like a semi. I have done both. What is a solution? Rent a car at each base camp. It can be more cost efficient than purchasing a separate vehicle to be a toad for the campers that only go out a few times a year. Ideally, there should be a network of car rental agencies to rent cars to motorhome campers. I think that many would rather do that than modify the vehicle they use on a daily basis while at home. This wouldn’t be for full-timers.
Is there an RV like this this one that ticks all the boxes (get rid of the 3 things you don't like about it)? Do they have options to take care of those things?
Pretty sure we couldn't live full time in any Class C. Dislikes: queen bed, twisty storage bay locks, windows, no bumper, step up to bedroom, tv position (how/can you see tv from dinette?), sink behind dinette seating., microwave location (deal breaker), no oven., bathroom sink in hallway (deal breaker), sccordian door to bedroom. I'm sorry, Matt, but ANY RV that has the TV located in the bunk area is NOT the best of anything. I still think the Forest River 3011DS hits all the full-timing marks.

That's because it's built cheap. Look at the crappy wood. Even scratched up on the pull out drawer below the dinette. Cracked mirror.

The sensor at the back of the coach is a blind spot sensor rather than a backup sensor. It works while the coach is moving forward.
Plumbing on slide out, see future problems. Looked at sunseekers at hershey, very well equipped, roof design made me nervous as well as front cap
Like the cabinets, kitchen, inside storage. Dislike floors, tv placement, exterior look. Thanks for the great review!😊

Which RV company does not void warranty for full-timing?
Still waiting on the B+ and adventure van awards. Are they just not being done?

I wish they could have slopped a little more sealant all over the roof 😂 One area looks like a terrible repair of a roof membrane tear.
It's a fiberglass roof, but that roof did look a little sloppy for a new one!
Is there an RV like this this one that ticks all the boxes (get rid of the 3 things you don't like about it)? Do they have options to take care of those things?

No, you DON'T understand the importance of sponsorship then.
Apparently truth has struck a nerve.
How do I contact you matt I have one question how much do I need to put down
Love it!
Why are they not designed for full time living
Not all officers are men… sir.
The cabinetry looked really cheesy. I suspect this thing would rattle a lot when going down the road.
The cabinets are actually very solid. The Forest River Sunseeker/Forester Classics were in our top 3 choices for a motorhome.

full timing can voids the warranty?? wtf why
I don't understand ...not being plz explain.
Because if it's not stated that it's for full-timing they'll deny any claim you put in for something that breaks. They'll say it's not designed to be lived in, only camped in occasionally, and therefore it's your fault something broke.
Not built very well
4000 generator with 2 ac what don’t you need 5500
It's potable water, not portable water!
I hate TVs, where kids sleep. They kick them and bump them to much. I wish they would find a better place.
No washer dryer I hate them door latches I don’t care about The bunk Over the cab he can be gone for all I care other than that not too bad
I thought you would not like the potable water over your head!!!
Not a fan of this rig.
Could be perfect if the TV were down lower. Nobody wants to BREAK their Neck 😑😔
