To be honest, even though Neotheather got a lot of hate from critics, I personally think that it is great. It is especially amazing if you listen to all the songs from this album in order, because even though all songs tell a different tale and they might seem random if you listen to them out of order, they really make a huge impact if you listen to every single one of them in order and I can assure you that you will certainly get goosebumps almost every time you hear "Welcome to the Neotheatre." throughout this album, especially if you remember the lyrics of Next Up Forever.
Yeah literally I listened to the whole thing in order and the first song made me feel like my depression just died, but then the finale made me cry whenever it said we can't wait to see what you do next cus it felt like I didn't know what to do with the confidence the first song gave me

I'm so sad. I cried when I first listened to this song. And the line, "I hope I made you smile, that's all I ever wanted." Made me cry harder because I first found them when I was in a very dark place. They made me smile listening to thier music. I hope it's not your final album, but if it is, I understand and I hope you have an amazing life filled with happiness.

there’s always a dark side to having supportive friends and family members, because you know that if you fail you wouldn’t just be disappointing yourself, but you’d be disappointing everyone else too.
If they are truly supportive which most are, then they'd be willing to help out both in time sof success and failure and always help you keep moving forward, that's what I hope to do and greatly appreciate when others do to me. That's my opinion on the matter, hope it was helpful

I know this is an older song so this comment will most likely get lost, but I wanted to thank you so much for your incredible work. I came across your work sometime in 2020, I was going through college and already then I was starting to have a very bad mind set. I didn't do well at school, I put pressure on myself that although my family didn't require, in my own mind I couldn't let them down by not finishing school.
And then I had to repeat the year and all the pressure I felt before just increased. I couldn't explain in words why I felt so unhappy, I had no reason to.
Then I listened to Karma and Finale and everything started to feel a bit fishy. And Ok Orchester became the biggest help to me and especially the sentence "But i'm not dead yet, so I guess I'll be alright".
I followed this sentence from the moment I heard it, and I still follow it today. No matter what happens to me in life, what goes wrong, as long as I live, as long as I breathe, as long as there is still a chance to change things, then there is no point in throwing life away.
So I would like to thank you again very much for your songs and the emotional help they have given me.
Whenever I'm in a bad headspace, this song is here for me too :)

The part "just don't forget about me when you get out of college" hit hard. I remember first hearing "I'm Ready" on the radio and my love for this group just went from there. I was a freshman in high school. Now I'm in college. Even if this is their final album, I won't forget their songs and how they helped me through the years.

The end of this song makes me feel like the entire album was the buildup to them being admitted into music history, like the entire album they’re being evaluated on who they are, what they’ve been through, and what their music portrays, and this song is their finale. As the ending comes they’re being brought through the curtain of the Neotheater, everyone in the seats a famous musician or artist, from the Beatles to the Back Street Boys, Biggie Smalls to Beethoven, clapping for them. There wasn’t any need to perform further, they were listening the whole time and they loved it. Now onto bigger and better things. They’ve made it. :)
Yeah! Like AJR saying "Come outside" seems like all the people of fame and popularity cheering for them to come outside the curtain. Them saying "You went hard. You did fine" is congratulating AJR to making incredible songs.

Okay guys I know, I get it. This was posted a year ago when I was new to the band. I know who jack is lmao
This song combines MANY different songs into itself, which makes sense because it's the final part. Firstly it has the same beat for birthday party, and also including the singing woman in this song. Secondly, the chorus has the same drop in don't throw out my legos, the start of this song has the same start to next up forever, it's like grown-ups congratulating you for going outside of your comfort zone. This song has sort of the same start and end of next up forever and karma, next up forever uses that same piano, and karma has the same release at the end. The end also has the same voice from 100 bad days. The part where the beat gets funky is pretty similar to beats. Near the end, it has the same usage of samples in don't throw out my legos. At the end it uses the same very deep voice from the entertainment's here, and the end has "Welcome to the neotheater" from next up forever. The way the album uses samples or uses the same beat/bass feels like it's keeping advice when going out to the real world. Really cool album and my favorites.
It also references Let The Games Begin with the constant "I'm in a room full of people"
And the second chorus has the backing vocals saying "What can you do?" like in Beats.

Its not that people saw it as lazy bit rather that AJR has no "sound" they haven't found their music style which I LOVE because the whole point of the click was that, thei can do any sound but in their own form which is too tell relatable messages, but some people hate the YUP YUP YUP! the AAAAAHHHH and the electronic sounds they have, personally I find them not annoying but sometimes its too much like in wow I'm not crazy, I love thekr music but I can see why people hate them
My favorite album is ok orchestra cause I relate to it the most so maybe that’s the case with other albums this one is underrated but I’d say the click and ok orchestra are better there’s some really great songs in this one but my only problem is there’s no overture and instead we get an opening and closing number which I can’t say I prefer to an overture

Neotheater is still to this day the best album i ever heard, It brings back so much good and happy memories. It's still one of my favorite albums ever, easily.

after trying it out i would still say that the last few verses of this are better lyrics wise the entirety of TGATT is lyrically better than the entirety of Finale (as an average) but they are both amazing
Life is crushing me down. I have physical pain, depression, agoraphobia, and anxiety, plus I have been taking care of my disabled mom for two years. And then there is worse stuff going on that I can't even mention. And while it feels like everyone in the world is standing on me, everyone keeps demanding more and more and more. I am failing at everything and I am barely holding on at all but everyone wants more. This song is so my life. Thank You guys for this song.

I really hope this is just the finale of the first act. It doesn’t feel like a finale finale, it feels more like the end of an old arc and the beginning of a new one.
