All the shopping mall clips are scary, given that magnitude, it is probably not a well built building and quite close to the epicenter, even taking into consideration that the damage seems to be mostly to non structural elements (ceilings, ceiling lamps, etc). I found the dog at 19:05 very funny: nothing stands in the way of his rest.
Considering that the main structure still stands despite the violent shaking means that it is well built.
The malls are actually well built structurally speaking which exceeded the building code. The problem is that our building code here is only focused in the structural aspect (keeping the building from collapsing) and is not paying attention on keeping ceilings and signs from falling.
@@juanito5582 If it is the same building as in the minutes 15:10 and 15:28 I wonder how safe can be to have part of a parapet falling onto a sidewalk. Plus, as you say, ceilings and other relatively "light" and non load-bearing parts of a building can also produce a lot of damage to people when they fall (plus the psychological effect on people, as the video clearly shows), so that has to be accounted for the designing team, even if the primary structure of the building goes unscathed. I take back my comment on the structural quality of the building.

There was no tsunami alert.
that is just a water displacement due to shaking of the seabed. it resulted in a localised tsunami but not destructive like what happens in Japan years ago

I've seen this in Brazil, it's probably a female and she's kept like this so she doesn't run away during the heat period and return home pregnant and be filled with babies.
How terrible; here in Chile South America there was an earthquake of 6.7, and the following days, several more, which is so usual in this country where two tectonic plates collide and cause regular tremors; all the coast line of Chile, aprox. or more than 4.300 km is known as the "Fire Ridge"....my prayers for the Philippines.

Epicenter is at the sea near Sarangani Island, Davao Occidental with magnitude 6.7 and felt in most of Mindanao.
