Nepal Earthquake 7.8 (Gorkha) April 25, 2015 in HD / Terremoto en Nepal 2015 (भूकम्प) / (Parte 2)

El día 25 de abril de 2015 a las 11:57am hora local ocurre un terremoto de magnitud 7.9 en el centro de Nepal, a una profundidad de 15 km y con epicentro a 80 km al noroeste de la ciudad capital de Katmandú. El terremoto rompe la falla entre las placas Euroasiática y la Indoaustraliana cerca de 200 km al este-sureste logrando percibirse muy fuerte en la capital. El terremoto ocasiono la destrucción de varias ciudades y pueblos, además de deslizamientos de tierra y avalanchas en gran parte del sistema montañoso del Himalaya, incluso en el Monte Everest ubicado a más de 215km del epicentro; también hubo avalanchas de gran magnitud y deslizamientos de tierra en la región del Tíbet en China.
El total de víctimas mortales fue de 8.832 y de heridos 22.309. También dejo muertos y heridos en India y China.
El terremoto fue capaz de sentirse fuertemente en todo Nepal y en la región del Tíbet (China), en el norte, noreste y centro de India, Bután, Bangladés, partes de Birmania (Myanmar), norte de Pakistán e incluso en zonas de Afganistán, Tayikistán y Tailandia. El Himalaya perdió altura tras el terremoto de ese día.
Entre las numerosas replicas destaca una de magnitud 6.7 ocurrida pocos minutos después del terremoto principal y una de magnitud 7.3 el 12 de mayo de 2015, este último provocó la destrucción nuevamente de varios poblados.

es increible como la profundidad lo es todo en un sismo.. hace un año tuvimos un sismo de 7.2 en Acapulco a 10 km d eprofundidad y se sintió sumamente violento..no me quiero imaginar este del video. Realmente de 10km o menos profundidad son brutal, en cambio uno de arriba de 8 pero a ms de 30 km se siente menos violento y menos aun si el epicentro no es justo en la ciudad

¿Hay una escala que mida cómo se mueve el suelo localmente? porque este terremoto parece mucho más fuerte que otros terremotos de mayor magnitud. Sé que tiene que ver con la profundidad, la distancia desde el epicentro, el tipo de suelo y demás. Este y el ecuador de 2016, los terremotos de Kobe de 1995 se movieron extremadamente fuerte.
