I have my own sawmill, and I’m interesting in saving money on the floor by doing a plank floor, diagonally, like how they used to before plywood. Can I run Intello over my floor joists as an air barrier and then nail my floor planks down? I would somehow leave a flap at the end of the floor to be brought up and attached to the Intello on the wall.

This is possible. Have to make sure you walk on the joist when installing the INTELLO Plus (or on the diagonal boards already installed)

Hi in the video, it shows you first stapling the intello down to the plywood floor on 3” intervals.
Then later on when it shows the application of the contega that floor isn’t stapled?
Do we staple and use contega in the flap in front of the staples?
Why is this junction not sealed with the tape?
    Thanks!

Using TESCON VANA to connect to the plywood floor is also possible. Make sure the floor is clean (no dust, etc). In our experience it is a easier to use CONTEGA HF to make the loop in the membrane to allow for movement/expansion/contraction of wood structures without compromsing the airseal. But if you feel taping is easier, that works well too. Stapling membrane to the floor is not needed, but we see where you might think the 3d rendering showed that.

There is no discussion re blown in insulation other than recommendation for battens. What is the procedure for cutting in this membrane and sealing again after blown in wood fiber ??

This video shows proper installation for the INTELLO PLUS membrane, preparing it for blow-in insulation. Because 'blow-in insulation" can mean many different things, we intentionally left insulation installation to other sources. Here's a few from our website and from Passive House Accelerator that we recommend:

What is the minimum distance between te batten on a angled surface?

There isn't a designated min or max distance between battens, because they are not structural (in most cases). Typically it should be a balance between the needs of supporting any insulation that is planned for the service cavity, the needs of supporting the drywall (or other finishes), and the need to support dense pack insulation (if that is being used).

When putting the battens on, it doesn’t puncture the air barrier when you screw through the Intello?

Staples or screws do not cause any significant airleakages if they are flush with INTELLO Plus. As can be seen by our ASTM E2357 test, with untaped staples - foursevenfive.com/blog/intello-airtight-system-aces-laboratory-assembly-tests/

@@475.SUPPLY Thanks for answering my questions. You're helping me connect the dots as I wrap my head around passive haus / efficient building.

Does the top layer get a bead of Contega sealant too?

Not unless you are transitioning to another material. In most cases, the interior of the walls and the ceiling are all INTELLO, which means you just tape the seams as you wrap. The Contega bead is only at the floor because it's transitioning to a plywood subfloor at that point.
