And some of the largest tuna etc you can catch in Australia down the southern parts of Tassie. Great thoughts to fish NZ, but keep it local guys.
God I would absolutely love that job. But unfortunately I live in the U.S. love the channel though and think I've seen just about every video you've posted and always looking forward to Sunday for your new uploads.
The sea mount trip was my favourite video as well. The awsomeness of the unknown, that massive threasher getting eaten 💀, and sammy getting spooled by a squid (funniest comment ever)😂. I love watching videos of new and exciting ways and places to go fishing. Your katchi katchi is amazing in the rodney, soft plastics for snapper is really cool, and the wold of jigging is fantastic 👍.
You guys couldn’t have said it better. I have the fortune of putting in the hours and not having a boat to having half a dozen keen skippers that always take me out. It’s hard for skippers to take out people they don’t know I always get consistently asked by the same skippers every good day as I’m one to not complain about what time we are getting back. I’m there all day/night cleaning boats and fish. And ofcourse the money side of things. In exchange I’m one of the most fished blokes without a boat down south of wa. And also understand the donut days

Great video! I have a bunch of film experience and would never get sick of talking fishing, but with 2 kids and a steady full time job, I'm about 10-15 years past being able to do that. Great opportunity for someone to get into content creation though

To add onto the question about keeping the motor running. For your boat Sammy, why not just use a trolling motor on spot lock? Obviously there it the extra 'stuff' that goes with an electric, bit it 100% removes the need to monitor your location. I have a 24v minn kota and it will hold a spot in a moderate current. Cheers mate
Hey mate, It's a good idea but it doesn't really work out deep sea. You don't want to be "spot locked" as such, you still want to be moving and you often need to still be moving in order to keep the lines directly under your boat. While a spot lock can assist against the weather (wind etc), it doesn't help against the currents and therefore can still leave your lines going way out the back of the boat and as a result, not fishing as well as you could be.
Is Shauns boat the same "mojo" that has been around in game fishing circles for a number of years - clubs , tournaments etc ? If so was that the previous owner or is he still an active member in a game club ??

General rule of thumb I go for is PE rating x 10 = lb rating. Pe3 is roughly 30lb. It’s only a rough conversion but gets you in the zone 👌

Yeah mate, mojo has been active in the game fishing circles for years. Both shaun and I are members of the Gold Coast gamefishing club though 👍
