His ventriloquism skills is expected since he's doing it since 8 years old. What really sets him apart is his comic material for the characters. That's being genius.
I saw Jeff live in Pikeville, KY years ago. He was trying out his Christmas material. At least half the audience booed when he said the show would be a little different than the one on CC. Once he got into it though, the audience warmed up quickly. 😂
He played in PIKEVILLE??? I'm originally from the Huntington/Ashland area and I'm very familiar with Pikeville... I didn't know Pikeville drew big names like that??... That's awesome. In Huntington we used to have "The Funny Bone" and we actually pulled some BIG names sometimes, but I didn't know Pikeville did also.
Two hosts that are actually good at their jobs. Too many hosts who will either talk over the guests (looking at Fallon, Kimmel, and all the other late night hosts) or will try to crack jokes that fall painfully flat (again, Kimmel, Fallon...) and it just murders the interview.
Jeff's dummies for me is actually alive. each has it's own identity. Peenut is very much different from Walter and Achmed is the Rock Star while Baba has his own innocence.
