These are all escaping gasses. That's also why you see the lava inside the spatter cone continuously bubbeling. In fact gasses play a fundamental role in an eruption, the pressure of these gasses causes lava to escape. And for a large part this is also just water vapour, since the Earth also contains a lot of water internally. But the same show happens when outflowing lava moves over wet underground. The lava will go crazy. A long time ago I have also seen a video where someone literally threw a bucket filled with water in a lava lake. The effect was as if a new eruption had started. But yeah, water gets 1600 times larger in volume when it vapourizes. 💥
Beautiful footage, Roman! That is a lot of lava in that volcano, and as big as that is, it is continually fed directly from the mantle! The dust devils there were very unexpected to see there! That back wall collapsing was amazing to see!!🌟
I think that, at least at the bottom, they've become very thick. This means only the thinner top is likely to collapse now, just like it did in this video.
@@jimthain8777 you could be right, the crater north wall collapsed at 11:24 AM, 24 July saw it on the livestream. Of course, it wasn't as spectacular as the wall collapse a few days back.
Amazing!! Thank you for all your incredible footage and tireless efforts to bring your followers such beauty. Is lava coming out more from the bottom now? Counting the hours now until my flight arrives in Iceland. Will be viewing from a helicopter due to a mobility issue, too risky to try and hike that distance. Stay safe and again, thank you for such amazing footage! 😊
I really appreciate all your footage and sharing it with everyone. This is absolutely spectacular!! It is my dream to one day visit this amazing place.
I think this is one of my favourite videos of yours so far! Hope to get up there on my next days off :D luckily I live close by in Keflavik so not far to travel
I am just enjoying watching the person trying to build a chair with the rocks. It only takes a minute and bam! comfortable seating. Well done apex life form!
After watching you and Isak yesterday, I awakened to a very different volcano. I had to rewind Afar to see the dynamic draining of the pool. What will happen next? Only God knows.
Restless: exactly the word and it reminded me of these lyrics: Cause I’m restless I’m sleepless on this quest I must go out here searchin’ for somethin’ (Blackberry Smoke) and it sums up what you and all the other brave (some "crazy") folks might be feeling. Restless as the volcano and on a quest for.... ? Lovely, lovely and simply stunning views and totally enjoyable commentary. Thanks so much, merci. From France.
I think there might actually be some dustdevil vortices on top of the lava as well, but you will not see them as there is no dust to pick up from there. One thing is pretty sure, and that it's hot rising air which creates them.
watch video again and u will se a section fall into the boiling urupting lava. Then later behind the spurting lava u will see the new U shaped space in the wall.
There seems t be 2 exit points where the lava can exit the volcano, 1 East and 1 West, but both are now almost fully submerged under the lava field and exit flows seems to have decreased so the volcano fills up and we should see another major wall collapse I think.
Repent. Jesus is coming soon. Ask Him into your life. Cleanse you from ALL unrighteousness. Make Him your Lord & your Savior. One day, YOU will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen.
I was there last Saturday I came all the way from Dubai and I used trail A as your recommended thank you was but hard but worth it stay safe and who is visiting Iceland please please follow instructions issued by government nothing worth risking your own life
Most people go the the beach to see the sea, or go for a walk on the mountains to admire the views... Icelanders.. "let's go see if a volcano will kill us"
What is it with these wall collapses on volcanoes? It's like whatever chemical composition was used to give its desired shape seems to be coming undone or unstable. Anyway, this is the most spectacular view by Mother Nature.
I cannot, for the life of me, understand why there are people sitting around and Watching this thing like a "picnic" / family outing.. Shouldnt these folks be Evacuating or something...? If they are so concerned, Im not sure why I should be either. Amazing Fire works show, tho'.
The volcano is making very similar sounds to Mt. Yasur, in Vanuatu. It's a Strombolian volcano on Tanna Island.
I have stood at the craters edge at Yasur, it was an unforgettable experience.
@@SarahlabyrinthLHC So have I, it's incredible ❤ 🇦🇺
Sounds like a dragon breathing out a hot breath at times

@@jongeduard that is good information. Water can do just about everything it desires to
Your narration is wonderful - and your video footage is magical. Thank you.
I followed your coverage back in 2021 and I'm so glad I found you again. It's so memorizing.
You're doing wonderful work there Roman...Thank you for bringing it to the world!
Thank you for the footage sir

Great work GutnTog!! Love your video's!
I am so grateful you can bring us these views. I cannot be there to see it for myself, but your videos are the next best thing. Be safe and well !
Very interesting video.
Could you update us with the cone dimensions as it grows, and how high you think the lava is flying occasionally please
Awesome video Roman! It is getting so wide, it seems with every wall collapse! Thanks for your time and wonderful videos!
Fantastic enjoying your videos 😊 watching from Crewe UK.
Thank you
How dynamic! This is one energetic eruption.
Thanks for the share amazing video. 🌋🌋❤💯
Thanks for sharing. Stunning, beautiful...👌👍

I think the word 'Partial' was missing in the video headline !
Insanely energetic. Thank you for the opportunity to share this rare experience
Love your videos
Thank you again for the awesome photography and I like how you caught the big chunk of wall falling in to the volcano right place at the right time
Looks like a sloshing bucket of hot metal
Thank you for sharing!
Thank you again for your efforts. I watched your videos two years ago and am now very much enjoying your videos again.
Thank you for sharing. I wish I could be there! Be safe!
Nature's ferociousness ! wow ! thank you Gutn Tog ...beautiful to watch and listen to ...
Thanks for the closeups. I love to see the bubbling lava lake. Happy you made it back for this one -- also a little jealous, haha!
Just amazing. Thank you so much.

what is this whining - like sound?( like some jet } Any idea what about t° in the cauldron?
Fantastic footage! It's mesmerizing to watch and the sound of it screaming is surreal. Looks like the set of a Hollywood science fiction movie!
Fantastic footage. 👍

Thank You! From Arizona!

Incredible. My flight to Iceland leaves in a few hours. Hoping to be there in person to witness the raw power of mother earth.
Global Warming you mean, well that's what they would have us believe .
What an amazing sight sight. Thank you
What does the ground feel like?? Rumbling? Hot? Warm? Is the air hot? Can you describe it
Hello GutnTog
Thank you for this Amazing videos

So fantastic and beutyful.
hello why aren't the wildfires extinguished?
After watching you and Isak yesterday, I awakened to a very different volcano. I had to rewind Afar to see the dynamic draining of the pool. What will happen next? Only God knows.
The sheer height that spatter attains when it pops up in the caldera.
Really like the closeups of the crater! ❤

global boiling?
Wow! A thousand years ago people ran to the ocean for their lives. Now people get as close as they can!
Wow!
Are the moss fires continuing to spread?
Yes
I'm sorry to hear that. Seems like the whole world is burning ... except the bits that are flooding.

One thing is pretty sure, and that it's hot rising air which creates them.
I am not sure I understand why you would find that unbelievable. It seems very natural to me.
You have quite a large lava field there, Wow 😮😳 growing fast.
Shoutout to the guy in the 49er jacket. The Faithful travel far and wide.
They say that the magma may take an underground closed route. Soon! The Volcanologist in Iceland said that most of Iceland Volcanoes travel that way.
i did not see the wall collapse .... second video you said this and no wall falling

Liston carefully, and you can hear the pleas, cries, and waling of the condemned.
the rest of it came down about an hour ago, huge lava flood
Most people go the the beach to see the sea, or go for a walk on the mountains to admire the views... Icelanders.. "let's go see if a volcano will kill us"
Why kill us? 200.000 visited 3 eruptions nobody got hurt
Is voltage keeping it so hot for so long for as thin as it is?
Standing this close to an active volcano is peak intelligently. I might go there soon and fill up a paper bag with lava to bring home and show family.
voltage keeping it so hot for so long?
Sounds like TIE fighters. Is that Obi-Wan and Vader surfing that lava?
What is it with these wall collapses on volcanoes? It's like whatever chemical composition was used to give its desired shape seems to be coming undone or unstable. Anyway, this is the most spectacular view by Mother Nature.
🌏-🖕 open badi 👍
T looks like he volcano is leveling out.
He said that once underground the magma travels much faster and will go much further.
Just a little too much of a zoom, would be nice to see the cinder cone and lava, not just extreme closeup of lava.

That's not exactly a "collapse".
