Theres no way this dude had a 2 year hardcore world without a backup world
thats cheating though

To all the idiots still arguing that it’s not fair STFU. You can play Minecraft however you like. No one else will control your world.
@@polarsaurusrex1432 What if the save corrupts after updating? Would loading a backup be cheating then? Backups are just failsafe copies for things like this. It's not cheating if it saves years of progress from a silly mistake (that wasn't death).
@@polarsaurusrex1432 what if a scenario like this happens? Then its ok

He is like playing for like 2 years and i guess he didnt know he could corrupt the world, like lockdownlife did the same thing and nothing happened, so i think in this case, he didnt know it, saw it happen and probably said "fuck off, lets start another world"
Yeah it happens with long term modded maps all the time. If a mod freaks out, doesn’t uninstall properly, etc you just gotta delete the chunks.
It would suck to undo so much progress.. but you can just delete the region files and reset the chunks
But would everything be saved?
@@SamuelEpik everything would be saved besides the sand area. I had this happen to me in a survival world with a sand duplicator and I deleted the chunks and it was fine, I just had to rebuild the area again.
there was a program (which allows you to upload your world and delete the chunks you want.

He posted a comment on a wadze video saying he wants to start over his world. He also knew his computer couldn't handle it because he's had trouble with sand and lag in this world before. I think it was just a way out instead of saying I want to start a new world. After this I couldn't watch him the same. He had the back ups he knew what he was clearly doing, he wasn't sad at all.
I don't know him at all but i don't blame people wanting to start a new world after years to get some "new" experience. Man i can't even handle a world for a month and feel the need to start a new one cuz it feels refreshing and hype for the moment.

He definitely did this on purpose, nobody would ever risk their world like that if they were genuinely scared about losing it. Notice how he’s even laughing and finds it more amusing than sad, I’ve seen RUclipsrs do stuff like this before and stage themselves accidentally dying on their hardcore world so they can start a new one. Him doing this was actually pretty smart tho because he made himself look like he lost his world due to lag instead of dying and making himself look like a noob. And also he didn’t disappoint or upset his fans by saying *”I’m quitting the Hardcore World.”* This dude is honestly pretty clever.
I dunno, didn't Philza get big by losing his world from a dumb death?

You can use the a common hacking client in the hypixel skyblock community known as shady addons to make all the entities ghost blocks on his side to buy him some time
I'd say it's actually a pretty satisfying way to end a hardcore world. When you have all the gear you could get, dying to some enemy or your environment would feel really anti-climactic. Building a structure so massive and so ambitious that it damn near bricks your PC and corrupts your save? That's just cool.

Sadly I can relate to this. I was never big into survival Minecraft until a few years ago, and I had this world I started about a year or two ago. It was the first survival based world I’ve really clicked with and had been playing on it for well over half a year. And one day I was playing in the end islands idk trying to get more elytras and I died. I decided to call it a day and shut the game off. The next time I tried to log in it wouldn’t ever load. It would get about 99% of the way on the “generating terrain” bar and the game would presumably freeze.
Few months later I have no clue what could have happened. And I really miss the world. It was the only one I’ve ever really clicked with. And likely had over 100 to 150 hours on it. If anyone knows what could have happened let me know. It was in bedrock ps5 btw
And yes. I do have backups but 1 their from about two months before the corruption. And 2 I’ve already fucked with them in create mode to test build ideas out. So it wouldn’t be current would have tests everywhere and the achievements wouldn’t work.
150 hours is like, a weeks worth of playing.
@@ZinxTheSlayer Yea, if u play straight no stopping
you might be able to save the world by using mca selector to delete corrupted chunks
@@ZinxTheSlayerfound the mofo with no life
srry for ur loss. but i've heard there's a lot of world editing, deleting chunks, etc, etc. couldn't u use one of those?
“Always make backups” - Mojang
(Especially when doing something out of the ordinary like this)
since its a glitch I think it should be allowed to delete the enitys that are lagging his game out.
If I remember correctly, there is an entity file in the 'world' folder. He could just delete all falling block entities in that folder and save his world.
For someone who just lost 2 years of work, he seemed to have handled the revelation quite well
Well when you have sponsors and get paid to make Minecraft videos anyone could handle it well.
im pretty sure he did it on purpose, nobody who is genuinely scared of losing a 2yo minecraft hardcore world would risk it like that.
also, he already said he didn't wanted to do stuff in that world anymore, and i think its was the best way to end it.
Because ending hardcore with death is too mainstream.
True legend doesn't let minecraft kill him, but kills minecraft instead
Solution: start a server with this world, load the chunks, wait for the progress to be over and then copy this world into your singleplayer. This would require a medium server but it would be worth it.
What a way to lose that world, that would've been such a great finally to a hard core minecraft series
Something like this happened to me. I had my world for 3 years, I was playing and my power went out, when I was able to get back on minecraft it said my world was corrupted or something like that. I did SO much in that world.(this was on ps4)
Yeah if your ps4 loses power while your world is open it will corrupt the file and ruin the world. Not really that special though. Could happen at any time
aw :(
I hope you are able to make an even better world than before
Same happened to me. I had it also for many years and had so much in it and also had a power cut, went back on and the world was no longer there. Mine was xbox
The problem is the block you used... sign. They all instantly break unlike scafold for example.
that was the point, he wanted to make all the signs break at the same time
@@marcrimus946 As in, signs break on the same tick rather than staggering to ease the load.
Scaffold? Minecraft has that now?
@@firemonkey1015 since 1.14 u live under a stone?

He was actually glad he lost it, he didn't want to do stuff on it anymore
I understand it cause I deleted my 700 day hardcore world by accident, and I can’t believe I didn’t have a backup that one time!
bro recycle it from the trash
I wanted to say thank you for showing me this video I had forgotten completely about paulgg for 3years or more!
I swear people bully bedrock players for having a broken game but Minecraft regardless of platform is just seriously buggy. Too many people are losing their hard work from glitches, and it’s really sad to see people like this guy have to give their pride up for nothing.
Oh my god. Delete the chunk file, use a texture pack, send the world file to a stronger computer and send it back, use an external mod. If he didn’t recover this he didn’t recover this on purpose.

Not saying this content is bad but he lost it 5 months ago so this is not necessary new news
I just Forgotten to upload this much much earlier

Such a disaster in a couple of seconds, poor guy. But he should have a backup for that world before doing it, everybody knows how laggy this method is.. (I think)
God’s not done in your life!❤ God’s not dead, he’s surely alive. He’s living on the inside roaring like a lion.✝️
Just delete the sand entities with nbt explorer if its such a big issue
That's not counted as losing your entire Minecraft world. He can still continue the series. ❤️
everyone is coming up with incredibly hard to do solutions and things, but i think lowering chunk distance to 2 would make it
YOURE A GENIUS
he should 100 percent be able to go into some world edit type program and deal with that issue. ethoslab had to do this multiple times on his prob close to decade long world because of issues of similar caliber,
He was so happy just before the tragedy struck
0:09 no ur world took a long time the the stress to loose it isnt even time
Just using something like NBTExplorer to remove all entities should be good.
Edit chunks manually in 3rd party software.
Thats why you do multiple backups on separate storage devices
Me: why would anyone okay hardcore for so long, it's way too risky.
Also me: Biggest Subnautica world is hardcore.
Man made a single player lag machine
Love Paul’s content, sucks it happened to him he’s the coolest Minecraft RUclipsr, so positive, even losing his whole world he was genuinely laid back about it and continued to produce amazing content
well he did it on purpose. it's extremely easy to fix he just needed an excuse to start a new world

@@RapinatorOhYeah You're welcome
All it takes is one sign to break your game.
Ngl I was expecting that he would fall off the side after breaking the sign and it would show that a guardian spam sniped him to death while he couldn’t move.
God Bless
No.1 rule as a gamer is to save the game or backup in this case, before doing something big
the way he was so chill about it.. i would’ve cried
Minecraft: Look mum, I'm in a splash!
Dude was so successful in hardcore that he lost his hardcore world without dying
each row of sand should have its own set of signs and break them individually
Minecraft is literally the only game in which 1000 blocks of sand can ruin your world
can just leave it running on a dedicated server so it won't have to spend time rendering. completely legit way of doing it, no map editing tools or backups required
And thats why you dont mess with physics kids
And then you got sandiction losing his world to lagged knock back.
I didn't even know it was possible to lag in Minecraft
That's why I don't like hardcore worlds series, it's all just challenge for yourself, always live in fear, hard to have fun knowing u can die to every mob if caught off guard
U are not safe even from lag
I thought he died, but he just bricked the save?
Just use a map editor, dude!
MCEdit might be dead, but there are certainly other editors.
“I thought for sure my computer could handle that”. Been there lol.
Remember when this happened to Philza? Rip
Just run ur world as a server on another computer, or just buy a dedicated server to run it, it won't crash ur game and the server will process this world data sooner or later, or just delete the chunk regions, they will be regenerated to the default terrain, just a tip for y'all:)
That's literally what I said.
That'd be a solution.
And you don't need to buy a dedicated server for that, a rented VPS for like 10$/month would do the work.
What an amazing way to lose a world nonetheless. He truly earned the privilege to end it when it does because he dropped hundreds of sand blocks at once
This sounds like a job for Linus...to give to Anthony
Don't know if he did it on purpose or not ...but that guy is wayyyyy to calm
what the heck is that bass in the background of the video? is that his mic picking up his keyboard on the desk? geez it hurts my ears. (use headphones to notice)
if he really wanted to im sure he could save it
More like due to stupidity, it’s like tryna run a 4000$ suspension on a 500$ car.
I once launched a different version of Minecraft and accidentally clicked on my 1.12.2 world. I realized it instantly and closed the game but the world was still corrupted. Thank god I had a backup but I lost one month of progress.
This is the only time I'd be okay with somebody using a backup for a HC world. If ya PC simply can't hold the imagination of your Minecraft world it's not like you made a gameplay error that would have caused a death/loss of world file.
There’s a couple ways to fix this.
You can edit those entity’s in external files or programs to not exist.
You can copy the file and run it on a more powerful computer until finished, copy that and use that.
You can also create a copy of the world before doing anything insane like this, especially if it’s a 2 year old world, in my opinion this is worse then death because you lose everything, including the builds and memory’s.
I mean if anyone has played modded minecraft crashes like this aren't uncommon, that's why MCEdit exists for editing worlds after they crash so you can try to salvage them before they corrupt.
Replace the sand blocks with nothing blocks in the files, might fix it
now I know how I shouldn't dry ocean monument
how to get 3 million views on youtube: steal someone else's content and upload it in an extremely blurry 360p resolution, then put some disproportionately loud meme music over top of it. profit
I didn’t know him until I saw this and I loved how he was so chill about this
I use to watch him long ago but stopped when he started to have paid promotion which is not my thing sadly.
@@SirDinielFortesque i dont understand, you stopped watching him since he made money from getting sponsored?
Render distance to 2, turn up ram usage, put notepad over the minecraft client to get rid of the rendering. (yes minecraft doesn't render [as much] when covered with another window)
he should have threw a pearl away and then broke the sign the second before he teleported that way lag couldnt get to him since he wouldnt be that close to the source
Poor dude. He’s gonna have to get a new pc to open his world
But the weird thing is he doesn't seem mad or sad
he could've made a server launched it with the no lag plugin set it up so it stops falling sand then stop the server then put this worlds as the world for the server the sand becomes blocks and then he braks the sand in that server then he downloads it and put it back into singleplayer.
Dude needed more ram to process that, all he had to do was allocate alot more and it would of been fine ish.
It likely crashed in the middle of an autosave. That happened to me.
He didn’t lose it as yet
surely u can take the world file an rent out some kind of super computer in the cloud to boot it on and fix it, maybe its an actual minecraft limitation though idk
How could someone mentally ply minecraft on 1 would for 2 years??? I get bored of the game completely after a week
My PC would be able to handle it for ya and ill save it
His world is not lost, he can just use an external program to edit the world or use a really powerful PC. From the title I thought he died because of lag, this is clickbait honestly speaking
