idk if you live close to your lousiana coast line, but here in texas at night time on our beaches we have whats called "speckled crabs" there about 5-7 inches, super easy to catch with a flat net, they come out of the sand right next to the waters edge at night time, just bring a bucket and net and flashlight, i add em into our boil, theyre way cleaner than blue crabs, not as big as blues though. i wouldnt doubt they would be at the lousiana shoreline as well
