Did mine...with new switch housings, heated grips, new brake lines AND Custom Dynamics strip turn signals for the fairing. It was a very difficult job. I installed Fat Baggers 12"

Thank you! This is one of the best project videos I have watched. You gave an honest assessment of what it takes to do a bar swap at home with the good and the challenges. Your honest assessment is highly valued and appreciated!

Hey Man Mountain Mike, I have done a couple of setups. From my experience the following should be considered:
    1. Order prewired bars if possible.
    2. If you can’t get prewired bars-Cut the heavy plastic insulation off the wires and wrap it in electrical tape. Then coat the wires with a liquid detergent to ease sliding the wires through the bars.
    3. Use heavy string to pull the wires. You don’t want something that will break. The wires are difficult to pull.
    4. Fat Baggers makes an extension system for your clutch cable on 2018 and newer bikes. Use it!! It’s a quality system.
    5. ABS system will have to be bled with a computer system to properly bleed the ABS unit.
That’s all I have for y’all today. I’m out for now. Y’all peace out and keep on riding.

Great video Mike, yes your right.. they are a HUGE pain in the ass to do with meathook style bars but not imposible, one thing i found that helps is to run a long piece of cable with nuts on them first to knock any welding slag off the inside of the bars, you would be shocked how much crap acctually comes out (well at least the ones ive done have😮) then your right, shrink wrap, dish soap or wd-40, i use either guitar strings or piano wire to pull through. Every thing you do to prep the bars will make for an easier install. Ride safe, and hopefull well see you in Sturgis. Cheers from the Great White North 🇨🇦

Have you had any issues with the stock risers since installing the higher bars? I've heard lots of reports (mainly from Europe), that after installing taller bars the risers cracked. There's a few video's on RUclips about it.

Best practices say to have the abs system bleed but hers have been fine all summer without doing it, no codes, no lights, no issues. Leaving for Sturgis in 6 days…
