1:06:00 Serum Tranferrin level increases with decrease in serum iron level which also signifies an increase in TIBC. I am sorry for my mistake.
Line from robbins: The serum iron and ferritin are low, and the total plasma iron-binding capacity (reflecting elevated transferrin levels) is high.
Line from Harsh Mohan: Serum transferrin receptor protein which is normally present on developing erythroid cells and reflects total red cell mass, is raised in iron deficiency due to its release in circulation.
