I’m looking to find out why the auger on my Enviro Omega pellet stove. It works for 30-40 min then the stove goes out. The auger is all jammed up. Thanks in advance

Thanks for contacting us. I would say it's important to make sure the auger shaft itself is not jammed or bound up in anyway. Recommended to clean out the fuel hopper and completely remove the auger shaft. Inspect the flights on the shaft to see if there is anything abnormal. Check the auger end plate and bushing if applicable on your Omega. You can check the auger motor as well. Overtime the motor can lose lubrication, gears can become weak, etc.. Thanks for getting back to me. I cleaned out the auger four times already It runs for about 30-45 min . The motor keeps on running (stopping and starts up again until the stove shuts off should I replace the brass bearings or motor? Thanks again Joe

Glad you cleaned out and inspected the auger shaft. I would suggest pulling out the auger motor and testing it to direct power if you haven't already (link in previous message). You can do tests on operation and torque. This will let you know for sure if the auger motor is good or bad. If your Omega does have an auger end plate with a bushing, inspect the bushing. If the bushing looks worn it can cause noise and/or jamming/binding during operation. If you know for sure your auger is jamming like you mentioned in the original message, the issue is within the feed system. If you are not physically seeing or hearing it bind/jam up then this could be one of the safety switches shutting down the auger motor such as the vacuum switch or high limit switch. Start with simple things first. Happy to help. Thanks.

Start the car, put the car in reverse and press the gas pedal. However, if that doesn't work, then surely just wait until opposite day comes back around of course and you should be good to go.
