I feel you on the perfume slump thing. I just barely started collecting perfume but it already feels like everything is just disappointing me. Only two have really blown me away, and I feel like I e been chasing that high ever since because I still have yet to find a true signature scent.
I felt like that, means you need to step up into niche fragrance its a whole other world, recently got a bottle of xerjoff and it makes all the rest of my designer and arab perfume seem boring as fuck, even tobacco vanille just can't compare, the complexity of these high end houses makes perfume so fun
congrats on 60k!! i love your content so much! you definitely helped start my perfume obsession lol and i’m so grateful i love how you describe scents!!
I feel that slump too. I'm just getting into my perfume journey and it seems like every time I get highly recommended samples I turn my nose up at them, so I'm like, do I even love perfume?? 🫤 pretty much everything in my collection thus far is a vanilla.
I've had a very expensive perfume phase over the past 6-8 months where I bought so many recommended perfumes & samples. Most of them were fails. I also started doubting my nose and love for perfume. I've been trying to resell most of them and just accepted that I should stick to the few perfumes that I do like. My nose just doesn't like a lot of the trendy perfume notes or anything that smells niche/unconventional. Keep in mind that you don't need as many perfumes as perfume influencers have. Having 3-5 perfumes that you love is plenty 👌
drake has a special place in my heart he's my blorbo my little meow meow if you will i get him like nobody else does yada yada and hearing you describe his signature scent makes SO much sense to me. i see it so perfectly
i got narcotica happy dust as a sample from lucky scent and it blew me awayyyy it smells so good! the mango was pretty prominent for me and that’s what intrigued me because i haven’t smelled a mango perfume before. hopefully i can get it one day or at least a decant 😭😭
I’ve been waiting for Carby Musk to come out as a perfume since I smelled the candle and was instantly obsessed… but when I saw that price I was shocked! I just can’t justify it. I guess I’ll have to live without it 😢
GIRLLL YES, normally I'm kinda meh about gourmand fragrances on my skin but I love how it smells on others. Somehow, I appreciate the complexity of a "salty gourmand" type fragrance on my skin, like it smells warm and nurturing yet also is balanced in all respects. I absolutely LOVE Arizona Bloom, so I have to give the "white rice" fragrance a shot!
Yes, I get what you mean by predictable. I was disappointed with the new Miss Dior Parfum while at the same time (of sampling new fragrances) had that fragrance thrill with Pink Me Up by Atelier de Ors
L’eau Papier and Another 13 are three of my favorite scents, so it sounds like I must get White Rice! Could have sworn I saw you had a discount code, but now I can’t find it
Love your videos. I think I have put my nose on a couple hundred scents over the past handful of years. I had never really worn perfume before. Sadly I did not like most of them. Or if I liked them in the bottle they just did not work with my chemistry. And even worse if I fell in love with something - it was often discontinued etc. So I feel you on the slump. But I didn't give up! What I have been loving lately. St Barts by Ouia, Bergamot and Hinoki by Salt + Stone, Rakugan by J-Scent, and I just ordered LOE - Peach and Tea. Thank you! I have been looking for a peach tea scent for ages. Looking forward to learning more about what catches your attention in 2025.Happy New Year!
I tested L'eau papier yesterday for the first time and tested it on my skin too. It's lovely but I soon noticed that it's very very familiar. I picked my brain and sniffed for a while, and then it hit me: it's almost identical on me to JHG Ode to Dullness and at later stages it's so so similar to JHG Not a Perfume. Happy news for me, since Ode to Dullness is already on my to buy list and it's way cheaper and might be on sale from time to time which Diptyque will never be😂🙏
Your reaction when u spray the blacktie is my same reaction when i spray dans paris... that bottle ruined my sleep because i cant sleep until i get it. Haha
If this was the stock market, I'd be buying futures of Black Tie by Celine right now. If this becomes the next perfume that becomes viral because of you, I wouldn't be surprised. At. All.
I’m so glad that we connect on fragrances:) I relate that at the start of my hobby, I didn’t know many people in real life with that hobby. I would argue, though, that I don’t “only” like vanilla scents. Most of the scents in this video have none at all, take for example: L’Eau Papier White Rice La Droguerie Peach & Tea Carby Musk Vietnamese Coffee But again, that leaves about 3 or 4 other scents featured that do have vanilla, yes!
Hi! I’m new to channel, but since you’re into niche perfumes, you should check out the fragrances from the pharmacy Santa María Novella in Florence, Italy. It’s historical and quite well known in the city
idk if you'll see this bc this video is a week old already, but I'm hoping you will! today I spent the afternoon at a perfume store smelling a bunch of different ones (I'm trying to discover what i like and broaden my horizons a bit too) and I kind of fell in love with one that has a creamy lactonic note and i instantly thought of you. it's not a milk perfume by any means though, but it is very creamy. it's santalum by chloe. as you can probably guess, it's a sandalwood scent. it's very straightforward, really, quite simple, but it doesn't feel empty. it's a very, very creamy sandalwood (sometimes sandalwood can be more dry, kind of stick to the back of the throat, or smell like... uh... kinda like pee lol but this one to me is none of that, it's just gorgeous). to me it smells like wrapping yourself in the softest, coziest blanket on a lazy sunday in a bougie cabin in the woods, a warm drink in your hand (regular milk or vegan "milk" of your choice) and a good book in the other. it's such a comforting scent. very intimate, not a lot of projection, but i can still smell it on my skin a bit even though it's been 8 hours now. i wonder if you've tried it? I'm forever sad because it's waaayyy out of my budget and it doesn't seem to be very popular, so there aren't any good dupes. I see some sleuthing in my future on fragrantica for sandalwood+milk fragrances 😅
Wow, thank you for introducing me to this fragrance- I hadn’t heard of it! I will try to smell it this week! I love sandalwood, it adds the most gorgeous aspect to a creamy scent. For me, Santal Complet is a great creamy sandalwood/coconut fragrance that you might like if you haven’t tried it! I’ll get back to you if I smell Santalum:)
This is a genuine question because I’d love to understand, but why would someone want a fragrance that smells the way losing a tooth tastes? 🤔 do people want to smell that way or are fragrances like that intended to be nostalgic in a way? very interesting
I smelled a perfume that made me gag, Selina by laboratorio olfativo. I tried to wash it off and it would not come off the smell is horrible. Can you please give your opinion about this scent?

Whatever shade your top is, PERFECT on you!
A winter!
Thank you!!! I think the deep red makes my pale skin pop haha

I totally get you! What fragrances have you find to have impressed you?
Jeux de peau has been on my wishlist for so long but it’s so pricey!! I love the smell it smells like a bread shop to me
drake has a special place in my heart he's my blorbo my little meow meow if you will i get him like nobody else does yada yada and hearing you describe his signature scent makes SO much sense to me. i see it so perfectly

Currently layering Harvest Mouse by Zoologist with L’eau Papier by dyptique and I smell so cuteeee
LOVE THIS LAYERING COMBO
I love love love black tie. Try it layered with vanilla 28 ✨
OMG thank you for putting me on! Love that vanilla 28 adds some sweetness
I’ve been waiting for Carby Musk to come out as a perfume since I smelled the candle and was instantly obsessed… but when I saw that price I was shocked! I just can’t justify it. I guess I’ll have to live without it 😢

Watching to make the editing worthwhile 😌
this is actually so sweet I’m tearing up thank you

Can I please ask you a hard question? How does Black Tie compare to Angelique Noire, and which one do you love better? ❤
L’eau papier reminds me of Paul and Joe’s Blanc. I loved that perfume. I find that Leau papier doesn’t have last though
Good one! And I am dyyyying to test Black Tie! 🖤🎀
Did you get to smell Diptyque's Fleur de Peau? I feel like it's really different and unique.
You are so nice to listen to. Also I've been in a slump lately too
ugggh jeux de peau has been on the top of my list to sample but I haven't found it on display in toronto. may have to splurge on a decant!!
My new favorites are d&g devotion and the new dior j‘adore l‘or
I wish you could either list and/or link the fragrances. Grat video. Thanks!
Your reaction when u spray the blacktie is my same reaction when i spray dans paris... that bottle ruined my sleep because i cant sleep until i get it. Haha
What are your thoughts on Dior BOIS D'ARGENT? Its my current favorite scent!
If this was the stock market, I'd be buying futures of Black Tie by Celine right now. If this becomes the next perfume that becomes viral because of you, I wouldn't be surprised. At. All.
where do you get your decants from?? im also Canadian!
So glad I found your channel because my love of perfume is not shared by anyone I know, I noticed you only seem to like vanilla fragrances lol

@@perfumerism I hadn't heard of it, but I'm writing the name down in my notes to see if I can find it to smell it!
Im adding these to my wishlist🩷
Is there a dupe for d'annam white rice
Celine has the most modestly seductive amongst highend brands. Every bottle is so refined.
Hi I love your videos! Do you have any tips/ideas for selling lightly used perfumes?
I know someone who has sold several of her gently used fragrances on Mercari.
I'd love for you to review Coreterno especially psychedelicious
Just smelled the new Bath & Body works Musk no3. It has almost the same notes as l'eau papier. Hope you get to smell it soon and confirm for us! 😊
Lovely video, could you review floraiku paris, they look really nice and i would love to hear your opinion on the fragrances.
This is a brand that I refuse to support❤
@perfumerism oh damn, is there a reason why, I'm new to fragrance tiktok and saw the brand and thought it looked cool, are they not good?
I’d love to know what foundation you wear . We both have a similar skin color .
I wear either Armani Luminous Silk in 3.75 or Max Studio Radiance in N11
This is a genuine question because I’d love to understand, but why would someone want a fragrance that smells the way losing a tooth tastes? 🤔 do people want to smell that way or are fragrances like that intended to be nostalgic in a way? very interesting
I think they made it for the art of perfume, like I say in the video, I didn’t like it lol
I smelled a perfume that made me gag, Selina by laboratorio olfativo. I tried to wash it off and it would not come off the smell is horrible. Can you please give your opinion about this scent?
White rice is my shhhh
My tomato and basl plant smells amazing 🤩 I know what you mean
Plz do review of men's fragrances
Can you try Bake by Akro?
Please do a blog video of your trip!!
Now i want to eat a peach lol
Oh Canada!!! 🇨🇦 land of Drake and Degrassi!!! 💕 yes I’m old
"You can burn the candle and it'll be like Drake is in the room with you." That line did not age very well. XD
it was satire lol i was never a fan
frist
First
Hard pass on the fragrance that smells like Drake…Gross.👎
