Fantastic landings! May I feature the Air France A330 landing in one of my next episodes? Of course with your logo in it and a link back to your original video. All the best!
Your "favorite spot" is absolutely perfect for plane spotting. I made it to Maho Beach in St. Maarten back in December 2022 to experience it all first hand. Loved every minute of it. Look forward to many more of your videos! 😃
I’m doing my pilot training at the moment in Europe and I’m from sin’t maarten watching your videos makes me happy and makes me miss planespotting back home.. I would go in the same spots as you and I know cool secret sports along the perimeter too try climbing the container by row 28 you could get cool shots there.. cheers love the vids
Nice work Cal! You're one of my favorite new channels net to Lepp Aviation, LevelFlight, and A S BARRETT AVIATION. Great job!! SXM has been on the bucket list for a very long time.
been there in 2011 with KLM MD-11 ...a lot has changed. looks like they put a "big normal" fence at the end of runway...and this video position might be new too? I think to remember they made the runway longer too, many years ago. Greetings from Germany
@@Calsaviation I'm an Airbus CA for American and our procedures are to leave the strobes in the auto position, so they only activate when airborne (similar to the MD-80's).
That first landing was SO smooth WTF.. how is that even possible?!
I only just noticed after multiple comments. One of the smoothest I’ve seen too!

New subscriber here! Excellent audio quality, too. Keep up the great work!
3:37 Very short takeoff roll, awesome!
small plane
The twin otter is a STOL plane, meaning it barely needs a runway to land or takeoff
Epic video mate! And what a location, looks wicked. I will defo have to try and find it when I return to SXM!
It was on top of an abandoned building so hopefully it’ll still be like that next time but unlikely.

That Twin Otter at about 4 minutes took noise abatement REALLY seriously.
Butter landing
1:15:40😮
The first one was so smooth, the air/ground logic took time to kick in, hence the late deployment of the ground spoilers.
What date and month did you plane spot in St Maarten?
November 9th-13th 2023
I see, thanks.
no strobe lights on? 49:58
Seems that way!
