G is one of the best monsters in this series. The sheer damage it takes and seeing Birkin get more and more absorbed into it is brutal. I like that the damage it takes really does take a toll on it making it go on all fours to a literal blob by the end. Also G3 and G4 theme's are amazing at making them seem like something truly above you, almost deity like. (And the G adults in the sewer hive section are easily the creepiest enemies I have seen from this series)
This is late but I feel Leon A and Claire B are the best way to experience the bosses, with Leon you get the dread of a mindless zombie, forcing the player to wonder what their origin is then in Claire the answer is given, giving a compelling arc.
Played this game a bit ago and I had to stop playing the game for a week when mr x was revealed!!!! I play very slowly and carefully so the idea of a bounty hunter following me no matter what scared the hell out of me
Great video, Guys! I haven't played RE 2 Remake, but I have played the original PS1 version of RE2 and watched an LP of the Remake. RE2 (both versions, frankly) is one of the most memorable entries in the franchise, and Birkin and Mr. X make for unforgettable opponents. What's interesting to me is how the Remake changed the way in which the Leon and Claire routes were portrayed. In the original version, the two routes complemented each other in the sense that both routes were considered canon, and Leon and Claire often just encountered Birkin at different points in the game. Remake changed this by making the routes mutually exclusive, as seen when Birkin kills Mr. X in one route but not the other. I just found that to be an interesting change, and the decision to have only one canon route reminds me of Ys Origin, which did the same thing. Anyway, I'm enjoying your content as always and look forward to your future uploads!
i like Claire’s story a lot more (the canon one) and this change personally was really great, even though both playthroughs are only slightly different - jack
I never got to check this one out and I always wanted to. Seemed like a remake being used to its full potential but RE3 was unfortunately not given that same treatment (from what I heard). Hoping y'all get that RE4 Remake early access copy fr

I like Mr X in this game a lot but I do prefer the Super Tyrant of the original. He looks more like a greek statue than the remake which is just a damaged version of Trenchie. His roar is great though for showing how pissed off he is and actual emotion from something that had the same look the whole game.
