I'm too lazy to read through all the comments, I'm sure someone already pointed this out, but what the hell - the Orioles didn't win a championship '71, they won in '70.
Is it just me, or is there a definite edge between Earl, Howard and Al in their banter? Totally different vibe from, say, Vin Scully and Joe Garagiola. It reminds me of holiday dinners with my family.
I attended this game with my father and younger brother. Great memories of a truly great time Hard to believe it's been nearly 40 years!
Thanks for the comment. I've been an Oriole fan my whole life. Where have the years gone?
My mom and I were at this game!
I was there too with my dad and I remember when John Denver had to stand on the dugout and sing during the 7th inning stretch
And to think this would be the last time Memorial Stadium would EVER host the World Series.
Boddiker retired Morgan, Rose and Schmidt in the 9th all HOF’ers (yea I included Rose)
Earl Weaver was an excellent analyst.
He simply was amazing.
