    Thank you for being real, honest. We are enjoying all your videos. We are so happy to find your feeding and watering system. Travel was going to be a problem for us...with who will do daily care of chickens. Now we feel confident that we can still camp , travel, yet know our girls will be ok.

      I'm pumped! One of my wife's friends is going to donate some laying hens and we are going to get some chicks as well for some diversity.

    I'm in North Carolina as well and as soon as the remainder of the snow is off the ground I gotta start building a chicken coop and hope i can get it done within 2 weeks cause these baby chicks i currently have inside my house in a big black tub are growing a lot faster than i expected and are starting to get out of the tub on their own so i have to get them into a coop before they start making my house their home and pooping all over the place lol. I've never built a coop before so hopefully i can build it correctly by watching youtube videos like yours. Fingers crossed.

    This is awesome. I am going to post my videos of following your guide. I have a very level (flat) area i am working with. How high on the stakes did you put your string line?

    Where do you get blue prints from? How much did you spend on supplies?
    How many chickens is coop for?

    great video! i have the same type of unlevel area i need to build. if i want to build an 8X10 coop does the PT foundation need to be exactly 8X10 or 8'3" X 10'3"? i wanted to simple lay 3 4X8 sheet for the floor of the coop...2 full sheets and ill rip one down to 2'. i want to make sure these will fit snug, so does the foundation base need to be bigger to account for the 2X6 walls? i hope im making sense!

    Did you put the wire for predators only around the chicken coop foundation, or did you put some wire inside the foundation under the dirt too? Asking for a “friend”... lol

    What kind of 4x4 wood did you use for the foundation? Pressure treated?

    Thank you so much. Question: do you worry about termites?

    • @LazyLabAcres
      @LazyLabAcres  4 года назад

      Haven't had any issues with termites so far. I don't think termites tend to mess with pressure treated lumber
