Thanks for the video. I wish all the logitechs put their device buttons on the top. I also wish the Ergo was capable for 3 devices like the MXMasters i want to replace.
I have had several of these over the years and while they are great to use when working, they do not seem to last long before they randomly stop working as they should. On my current one, the left-click main button just stopped being as responsive as it should and now I have to press it really hard to get it to recognise a click.
After 30 years using Logitech trackballs, I'm looking for a alternative solution. The reason is that since the M570 and the MXErgo, I have problems that the beats, which holds and guide the Ball, are flatten out quite fast. With my last MX Ergo it was just 3 years till the ball went heavy to move. (I'm using the trackball mainly for standard office work!) It seems that this beats do not roll with the ball and then flatten after some time. Unfortunatelly there is no way to replace those beats. Till now I did not found an alternative Trackball, but still seraching for. Unfortunatelly there are not a lot of known manufacturers available. Mainly there are only no-name products from China with suspicious guarantees and return conditions. If someone know, either an really alternative product or a repair solution please let me know!
Elecom is a fantastic brand, the Ruby bearings they like to use aren't the smoothest but they won't wear down, and if you feel like opening it up the ZrO2 bearing swap is a pretty cheap and easy mod to make it a whole lot smoother while also not wearing down. Before you go buy a new mouse, though, it may be a good idea to pop the balls out of your mice, polish the balls with an ultra fine cut polish, and make sure there's no dirt built up on the bearings. I'm pretty sure Logitech does use ZrO2 bearings, they should not wear down so either dirt or the ball itself may be the culprits behind rough movement.
The ball becomes heavy on mine when it needs a good clean. Popping out the ball and using a plastic scribe tool and piece of kitchen paper usually does the trick.
They should've come with screw at thre buttom because i usually use my pc in 160 degree incline chair and to use mouse , i have to use a tray to prevent mouse from falling.... With this i can just fix it to my chair and control pointer
I love the Ergo, but left click wears out so fast. I've gone through 3 of them in 4 years. They seem to give out shortly after the warranty. I wish there was more competition.
Just the overview, comparison I was looking for, thank you - And, I don't know if it's PC, _"PC"_ yet, plural mouse(s), are generally called _"mice"_ - One: Mouse - Two+, >1: Mice 😃 👍 Cheers-

See I disagree about the top. I like it on bottom. But yes the ergo needs updated with some of the newer features.

Whilst irritating and poor quality, new switches can be fitted fairly easily
Great reviews, great comparison, great speaker. Congrats.

Thank you for the video. What is verifying receiver and also side scrolling?

This might be a dumb question but I can't seem to find an answer... does these work only with trackballs or does it also support mouse movement?
only track ball
It has a sensor in that cavity where ball lies
Does the ergo have an infinite scroll wheel like the MX3 mouse?
Nope it does not
Thank you!@@jonghunsong2019
That's too bad, I really enjoy this feature in the MX3S
u can just click scroll button(3rd btn) and scroll with ball
this feature seems faster with trackball than regular mouse
With the M575 on Windows you can emulate horizontal or ball-scrolling by using the free software "x-mouse button control".
thank god it doesn't. that scroll wheel is garbage
How long does it take to charge the Ergo?
Hello. Can both mice work with wireless turned off, only via cable. I'm not a fan of high frequencies around me.thx.
No.
Humans cannot hear Bluetooth, stop believing bullshit
Merci.

Glad to help! Yeah Mouses and mice are both acceptable when referring to Manually Operated User Selection Equipment 🤣
@@adamtalkstech - 👏😂 👍
At one stage, the officially recognised plural was "mouses", but I like "mice" :-)
*mice, not mouses at the end there. 🙂
"Mouses" is actually acceptable when talking about the computer device.
