I was invited to fill-in on bass for Nolls Getgood of Periphery on the Summer Slaughter tour of 2012. I knew it'd be a crazy ride so I brought my camera along. I put together this video shortly after. Enjoy!

I think Matt Halpern has a promise to himself, for every 100,000 album sales he'll add a new drum/cymbal to his live kit. Hopefully in 5 years he's gonna have a dream theater setup!
Man this brings back memories.
2012 was last year of High School for me, i was hard out into Veil, Btbam and Periphery. Learning songs and playing as much as I could. Good times with friends. Where does the time go.
I always come back to this for that nostalgia and of course Wes's tasty Layla ending.
Every time Wes speaks, I laugh. He's such a funny and awesome dude.
Me and my buddy came from Canada to see the first 2 nights of the tour. It was amazing to say the least
14:59 My favorite band listening to another of my favorites. Periphery listening Gojira.
Watching this makes me realize my life is shit. I love these guys' music so much. Can't wait till they come back, meaning VoM, periphery, and the faceless.
This tour most likely had two of the best drummers I have ever heard. Definitely my style of music. Halpern and Richardson are beasts!
The bromance between halpern and wes makes me giggle. Does anyone just love it when two people you look up to also like each other? Hits me right in the feels.
love the last slo-mo shot...
LOVED hearing Steph talking to the guys at 41:50.
Thanks for this Jeff. I love you too. :)
BTBAM - White Walls, One of the riffs at the end of that amazing 14 minute long song.
I loved this tour! I'm extremely happy it starts with my favorite deconsecrate! All the rest with Periphery, VOM, and The Faceless is killer! Awesome! Love this!
Great job on this video Jeff, especially the bandhappy part.. That must be fuckin awesome to be able to sit down with anyone of u guys (all top tier musicians) & jam right outside the tour bus.. U guys are the shit, all of u from periphery to veil to btbam to faceless.. All the best, \m/
watching this. getting stoked for this years summer slaughter.
Kickass video, that looks like so much fun to tour and hang out, and every one of those bands are super talented.
Soooo good! Jeff for pres.
Blake doing the end of white walls is RIDICULOUS!
Great fucking tour.. one of the best times ever. Almost asleep during between the buried and me though.
Yes it is. Periphery and Deftones played HeavyMTL 2012 together.
Tnx buddy!
I love the documentary!
This is great, Jeff! Thanks for taking the time to document such an awesome tour for us, the fans, so we can share the experience, so to speak.
The song at 21:50 reminds me of Vincent's Theme from Final Fantasy 7.
Please continue to make this documentaries! Loved this and the BTBAM european tour doc, thanks so much!
That's an Audio Interface, which connects to the computer to record vocals. bass, or guitar straight to a PC and into recording software.
Its eric clapton's layla at 40:30
That part is soooo tasty.. especially when played by the beast, Wes Hauch
I love how misha enjoys watching wes' playing, I would look the same if wes play that in the middle of drinking session 🍻
Periphery is the band i was on tour with and played bass for, so most of my footage is of them. I also spent a week on a bus with the Faceless and Veil of Maya, so i had footage of them as well.
This was a really good documentary, enjoyed everything about it. Inspiring.
Hauch's rendition of Layla at 39:45 is seriously a riff that is so addicting, that i find myself randomly watching this video just for that part.
Jeff, I cannot commend you enough for this Doc. It's hilarious, Brilliant camerawork.
The ending of Layla, you can hear it at the end of the Goodfellas film. Brilliant song.
Thanks friend! No I did not go to college for this, just started playing with an SLR while on tour and dinked around with it on Final Cut Pro. I appreciate the kind words!
The song at 39:44 was the end part of 'Layla' by 'Derek and the Dominos'.
Its really great to see metal come up from nothing. These bands kick ass good doc!! Love from Canada eh
so much periphery in MTL!!! woooott
16:15 Matt drops a stick and it doesn't seem to phase him.. epic.
whatr a great documentary i felt like i was there
Thank you Jeff, for this wonderful video. A great gift for the people that like Periphery, as well as the other bands present in this video. Congrats man, cheers.
Also, 41:04. Haha
Me too! I'm like "Matt Halpern, you are awesome, but shut up so I can listen to this in peace"
41:50... Stef of Deftones... Hanging out with Periphery... COOL
38:58 -Travis from Scale the Summit´s guitar... Sooo nice
One of the most fuckin' awesome tour docs I've seen in ages! Nice one!
At 21:24, misha "what the fuck".. one of my favorite parts lol.
no clue, his sense of melody is so refreshing :) btw misha @ 40:45 "cool song bro, play it again."
tht was an epic video man!!! thank you so much!!!
hey jeff! i was trying to figure out who was playing bass for periphery in milwaukee & apparently you're that guy! i really like this video alot & you guys were amazing to see live.
This is an awesome documentary and I'm commenting about something that has nothing to do with it, haha! Nice job man.
Its just a different kind of music than your AC/DC and Frank Zappa. There's plenty of music in the world that doesn't play to a click track, which is the beautiful thing about living in this day and age. Don't be so upset, enjoy what you want!
It's a song Misha did that Spencer added vocals to it's called Girl Fight
its funny when seeing veil of mayas vocalist throwing his arm around xD
i have that same soundgarden shirt!
Very cool!
Wow Travis LeVrier from Scale The Summit at 38:58. Suhr 7, nice.
Loving the Gojira at 15:05
it was awesome !!
38:22 The Fury Of Our Makers Hand by Devil Driver!!!!!!
Wes at 39:42 is playing Layla by Eric Clapton if anyone is wondering
i wish i could like this twice.
Thank you very much!
By the way saw you guys play the The Walk in London, it was brilliant!
Thank you
lol thanks, I know that, I was talking about the thing Jeff is holding in his hand
Thank you for this!
Very nice job, Jeff! Congrat! You have talent !
I like the documentary but can we rename is Summerian Laughter? I wish we could have seen more of the other bands.
holy crap is that Lyle Cooper with a Blizzard Entertainment shirt!? As if it was possible to have more respect for that man!
Looking like a true Ficco. Next time you are back in Richmond Geoff, we need to hang out.
He's playing the outro to a Song called "Layla" by Derek and the Dominos aka Eric Clapton. It sounds pretty killer like that to me
It's Spence and Misha's side project, Girlfight. I put the link in the description!
i fucking know right, dude me too....the crowd just stood still during their entire performance. I even sat down during them because my knees literally started to give out from standing up all night but then people started to get pissy so i stood back up lol
nice job Jeff!
'wounds' by veil of maya. vicious circles starts at 30:24
Haha the dude at 3:48 talking about Opeth... my thoughts exactly.
Lyle's voice is so deep , never heard him talk before

wes' rendition of layla was awesome.

Whats the name of the song @ 18:00???
This is one of the greatest documentaries ive ever seen..... Thanks so much. Are you doing anymore? haha
Because when you watch BTBAM you are in complete awe.
Anyone notice the bit where Misha's tapping like a demon?
Ahahahah!!!! Misha at 21:20 "What the fuck's going on?!?!"
never let touring get in the way of your fantasy football
Does anybody know what the finish is called on Evan Brewers Streamer bass?
IT'S A ZOOOOOM!?!
I laughed my ass off.
16:20 That save, dayum

it's the interlude around halfway through
NVM its drop c, already learning it!
Sometimes....I come back to this video JUST to watch Wes play the end of Layla.....way to fuckin tasty
Im with you on that man!
Johnny Ciardullo same, I just did!
It is soooo funny that non of them could guess Layla at 40:00 :D
