  • Mr Hardy explores Francis E W Harper's poem "Songs for the People". This poem is found in the OCR conflict poetry anthology. This video contains a poetic reading, a stanza-by-stanza summary and analysis of the key linguistic, structural and poetic devices used in the poem. There is also an exam-style question at the end for students to answer if they want to. This video supports students studying for their GCSE English Literature exam on the OCR specification.
