It is totally possible to take cuttings without dividing when the plant has formed several clumps in one, after a year or so. You just pull out one of the ”clumps” from the bunch, make sure you get a little bit of the brown-ish root on the bottom (like 4-10mm) and then just put it in compost and wait for the roots to form. Best done in summer in the growing season. I’ve taken at least 10 cuttings over this summer from 2 mother plants and according to me that is a more fun way of propagating heucheras than division ☺️

With clumps I think I mean several crowns. (I’m Swedish- so english isn’t my native language)
I read Heuchera is seriously invasive, so I keep it in pots.

Not invasive at all. They just form multiple clumps and looks spread.
