Amputee Ukrainian Soldiers Learning to Walk Again - Stronger than Ever!

For the past month, these Ukrainian soldiers with different levels of amputation from bilateral below knee to hemipelvectomy, have not stopped working to regain their mobility and independence. They have come back from every stumble and fall stronger than ever - laughing, encouraging each other and taking it all in stride. We witness one amazing breakthrough moment after another: a bilateral bk amputee running for the first time since he lost his legs. “I’m out of breath,” he said through an interpreter, smiling widely; another soldier, a bilateral above knee amputee, walked up and down stairs for the first time - another step toward independence - as his wife beamed with joy; a hemi-pelvectomy amputee walked without any support, and although he fell, got right back up and continued to walk.
