Started Olympic lifting, its been a lot of fun! - But definitely helped to have a coach! I wonder if the youtube algorithm will push these videos more. This channel is kind of what got me curious about Olympic weight lifting since I really didn't know about it.
Some more videos explaining the complexities of Olympic weightlifting eg the mindset in training or the mindset in competition, would be very much appreciated.
As a judoka, we also incorporate this type of training instead of the bodybuilding style training. The reason is that judo focuses on explosive strength to lift and throw people in a short period of time which is similar to Olympic weightlifting. Of course bodybuilders are big but I’m pretty sure they can’t even snatch a 60kg weight
I did my Assessory training without this knowledge. But it was always with more momentum than the other people in the commercial gym. I think the body is programmed by the training at some point so that it can't or won't do anything else.
Gaby, thanks for sharing your knowledge, they are helping me a lot, the world needs more people like you
