Not the video I had planned to upload today, but knew I had to push a video out as soon as I started testing this thing.
Hopefully CM can fix this abomination with a firmware update, and avoid trying to do anything tricky with future firmware.

CM is just not a brand of mouse can ever see as one any gamer would or should look to get 1st over Glorious, Logitech or Razer for reliable wireless gaming mouse, hell would even think of Corsair before CM ever. Oh yea & see other's price point comparison comments, would say if you're going wireless def don't go cheap pay a bit more for quality it's certainly worth it.

@@CoolerMasterGaming So, your response is to tell one of the viewers in the comment section? Maybe add Optimum Tech to your press release list and stay on top of it. Matthew is specifically mentioning how the review is based on a actual testing, not hearsay and anecdotes. So, until Optimum Tech has those updates that no one knew about, his review is valid. The fact that he didn't have the updates that you wanted him to have is a failure of communication on your part, if you even work for Cooler Master.

I’ve been using this mouse for two months now and I notice absolutely nothing of the delay, I saw the issues this mouse had, and show the review of rocketninja explaining they have fixed the issue. So due to the bad rep this mouse got for it initial mistakes it was massively discounted. I got a great mouse for 40 euro’s that is effectively the lightest wireless mouse on the market right now (not counting the completely unobtainable hilariously expensive final mice). I can honestly recommend it. You should take another look.

well this video is a weird one... as people say you should redo this one and probably take this down...
apparently there was a firmware that fixed these issues when this video was already uploaded (embarrassing when mentioning firmware too... especially forcing people to buy inadequate actual garbage products in other areas on this channel...)
the title and conclusion overly (and especially the description) hates on it for 1 immediately resolved issue not multiple, the data shows the mice literally competes if not beats the top mice EVEN with such issues (which shows how useless the other mice are especially for their price, and amount of production by such brands), and both the uploader and these comments overly crap on cooler master when their mice are the only ones currently competing against the top finalmouse mice, at a more realistic not scammy price (that is somehow believed to be a scam instead by this video???), have an actual realistic and obtainable product sale with a bunch of stock available, and they have been doing it consistently now since this release, AND BE IT a top performing WIRELESS mouse...
you can clearly see people in the comments who bought such products and enjoy them, and people who havent yet buy other products that are absolutely wasteful crap (MULTIPLE TIMES MIND YOU) and yet talk the crap they represent... such a shame...
the funny part is, they say this while this company is right here right now fixing things AND RESPONDIND TO THESE COMMENTS, WHILE producing actual worthy product in performance breaking form.... good job cooler master...

@@optimumtech Appreciate the honest reviews you do, but I do have to say that's kind of an extreme statement to make. I agree and would love if nobody ever had "faulty' products on a shelf, but given how products are made, there are so many layers within the manufacturing process that all it takes is one portion to screw it all up. A last minute part switch because manufacturer A switched out the source to make up for demand that should be, on paper, exactly as same as the other part but actually isn't? Entirely possible. Every company has had this happened in some way. This is in no way trying to defend CM, but I'd say it's more important to see how CM responds and what they do about it. If they do nothing and claim it's not an issue, then yeah, it truly is an abomination of a product. Or even after firmware updates it still has this issue, same deal. But, I'd be keeping my eye on this to see if they can fix the issue.

theory : 59g, closed big wireless ergo shape?
and the wired mode fixes everything?
My guess is that to keep the weight under 60g for their marketing department, they had to reduce significantly the size of the battery, to do powersaving as much as possible (especially with optical switches). When wired, you don't have to do a lot of power saving at all, so you just run the sensor full tilt. Wireless, you turn down the performance of the mouse and implement a firmware to hide it as much as possible.
I remember seeing a prototype of this mouse in a Hardwas Canucks video a few month back, and there wasn't any problems with the sensor, even in wireless mode. I don't rememeber if the battery life was anything to speak about but I don't remember it to be exceptional either

Hey Optimum, im hoping you see this but there was a comment made by CoolerMaster (well a reply to a comment), saying that there has been a new update for the firmware of the mouse, and they have been trying to contact you. Just letting you know.
    Thanks tho!

I'd be interested to see your thoughts on the Coolermaster MM831 as that mouse from my testing has been pretty solid. Also probably has the best RGB I have seen on a mouse before. Definitely is a heavier mouse that a pro wireless or pro wireless superlight but over all it has an amazing feel. Would be a good follow up video to this one.

You mentioned optical switches. Could you give Roccat some representation on your latency chart by testing the Roccat Burst Series? The Burst Pro and Burst Core are both using Roccat's in-house optical switches

    • @Xul
      @Xul 3 года назад +1

The only chart for Roccat that would interest me would be the percentage of warranty cases since the durability of their products just seemd awful thus far. I loved their Kone Pure but after having owned 3 of them (and 1 Kane) with only ONE KPOE (out of all 4) lasting longer than 2 years and a Vulkan keyboard that also had worn off key printing within 3 months I stay far away from Roccat.
They are down at Razer's miserable levels of failure (though razer has become somewhat better, still a failure rate of 5/6 is just inacceptable - the viper mini is probably just surviving because I rarely use it because I don't liek its shape for gaming).

Maybe this is something they will fix with an update in the future? I've been using a logitech G305 for the past 2 years now and it's honestly amazing for the price. If anyone is looking for a mouse and have a tight budget I seriously recommend it. It weighs 99 grams, so not super lightweight, but my hand never gets fatigue or anything like that. Only issue is after a year I had to replace the stock mouse feet as they were peeling away(I bought corepads-they're great). Also I got a white version-picks up dirt very easily

I have this mouse. I haven’t noticed the input error correction, because I don’t have another mouse to a/b with.
Build quality ~ The mouse is not well put together. It’s squeaks when you press on certain parts of the side panel, it rattles, and I think the springs in the buttons have buckled after a couple weeks, because they feel like they’re scraping and make a squeaking noise. I will say the cable it comes with is amazing, but it’s wireless so it doesn’t matter.
Input delay ~ I think Optimum Tech is overegarating most people’s ability to detect input delay, but I am glad that they gave this mouse a negative review. I have actually noticed the click delay, but I was able to compensate for that.
Buttons ~ Fucking dogshit. Too stiff, too much travel, qc issues, delay. Can’t even be compared to a cheap Logitech.
Battery ~ Very good. I have charged the mouse once since I got it a few months ago. Considering the weight, the battery is very good.
Overall ~ I have different gripes, but in the end we reach the same conclusion. Can’t recommend it.

Can you do a video on some of the best wired gaming mice, as most of the time, wireless mice are too expensive as compared to their wired counterparts. Additionally most of the time, you can recreate the feel of the wireless by using mice with para cords or other mods like that.
