    People love slow cookers because they can help save money by decreasing how often you eat takeout and also save you time in the kitchen. Slow cookers bring out the various flavors in dishes by cooking at a lower temperature over a longer period of time to simmer and infuse the different ingredients for healthy meals.
    In this episode of Ancient Medicine Today, I discuss the risks of using different types of slow cookers. If you use the slow cooking method often, tune in to find out what I recommend to avoid the toxic risks of slow cookers.

    Doesn't stainless steel leeche chromium and nickel? If it says 18/10 stainless steel ,18 means 18% chromium and 10 means 10% nickel. Nickel is to keep the steel from rusting!

    Your photo showed a steel spoon inside the crockpot. Metal utensils are NOT good for ceramic or clay crock pot liners as they scratch the surface. You want to keep the shiny surface of the interior of the crockpot intact. Use wooden spoons and/or non-scratching utensils. Be careful of any scrubbers you may use when cleaning the crockpot: again, if you handle it roughly the surface can get scratched...and you don't want that.

    • @bobschmob8233
      @bobschmob8233 6 лет назад

      Lynn C haha... yeah. Clay is going to contain the byproducts of the environment it's cleaning or filtering out. Most things are made from materials found in toxic places, i.e. China etc. And those toxins, natural and unnatural, leech into foods when cooking.
