I have listened to this message twice, and can not understand why there are 9 thumbs down? Bro. Begg message is spot-on with scripture to backup the message. The only reason one may have given this a thumbs down, is that they don’t understand the gospel message of The Lord Jesus Christ. To many false teaching are and have been taught. I have heard it said, pray a prayer and your saved, no matter how you live afterwards. Christ taught that one must count the cost if you want to follow Him over and over. This is what Bro. Begg is preaching and expounding upon. Holiness is what Christ expect of those that He gave His all for. Something in which the so called Christian of today are forgetting. The Born Again child of God has been brought as one would buy a slave by the blood of The Lord Jesus Christ. He is Lord and the Born Again is the slave to the will of Christ. We don’t work for salvation, it has been brought and given free. But, we must now become slaves (the Bible has miss translates this “servants” for political correctness) to our Lord to do His will (1 Corinthian 6:20). If one truly love another one wants to please that one.
Paul cotter, remember there will always be those who oppose TRUTH, some out of self-righteousness, some out of ignorance and some of pure evil, remember when Nehemiah was building the wall of Jerusalem, Tobias and Shamballat tried their best to hinder the man of God, yep expect opposition when you are doing God's work

Wonderful sermon. The right amount of humor and substance!
One of his best messages, however they are all good, this was just extra special.
There is so much I can say about Alistair, such a fine preacher and I don't think I ever heard him preach anything at all but I liked it and often more than just liked it for I saved many so to hear them again. As he, so I too read my Bible very much after conversion and discovered later that if I had to declare a church affiliation, it would be I am of Reformed faith & coming to it by Bible first.
Later on, blessed by discovering Albert Martin, Spurgeon, R C, James Boice and so many like that...the great Puritans too...so has Alistair.

I am very sure that I saw the quote credited to Bunyan also. In the hundreds of sermons by Spurgeon I read, he often referred to "ol' John Bunyan," and I am also sure CHS spoke of Bunyan saying that...many have repeated it and often do not give proper credit, which we all should (if we know it.) Reading Bunyan over the years, it sounds to me like something he'd say. I actually thought it was first said by Bunyan in his "Pilgrim's Progress," but I could be wrong on that one.
