I totally can relate Joshien. I’m already 32 and still battling with PCOS and struggling mentally coz it does affect our mood. I've had emotional breakdowns and episodes for years already.
my cousin took birth control pills when she was in jhs i think that was few years ago and was discriminated by her peers. we were sadden by that since the reason why she took it, is to control her blood flow in menstruating. tysm for this, ate joshien! it is very imformative.
Hi Joshien! I was your classmate in 4th grade. Not sure if you do remember me because I was a transferee that time and I haven't able to finish the last two gradings. 😅 Anyway, what I remember the most about you was that you were pretty and smart since then. Whenever we had role-plays, we're always left in awe because of your beauty and you just naturally stood out. Bonus that you're kind and friendly. ❤️ So, I've been low-key following you on Facebook and I'm amazed of how much you've accomplished (which was expected because you got the beauty and brains, girl). I felt proud that I was one of your classmates a long time ago and I even shared to my family and friends of your achievements, especially your TV appearances. Well, when I've read your post that you need to tell something, I knew it was an important matter. Now that I've already watched your vlog, I felt like I needed to comment. You shared your story in an educational way and it's great because the stigma regarding PCOS should end. I may not relate to your story, but as a woman like you, it's like a battle you need to face and conquer every single day. It will be a long journey, but know that God is always with you. He will get you through this because He will allow you to tell the story soon after you won this battle, Joshien. 😊💖 I just want to leave a Bible verse and I hope it will somehow help you. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." - Psalms 147:3 I declare that God will heal you in Jesus Name. Amen. 💖
YOU ARE SO STRONG FOR THIS!! knowing how judgemental our society is right now.. i am so proud and happy for you! ❤ i wish we have more people like you! So openminded and understanding ❤ i love you so much! Words cant explain how happy i am right now watching this 👏 we are here for u always!!
good video for awareness! I do have the same condition, so let's eat healthier :) Reason for cooking your own food is because most foods(take outs and also processed foods like those that you freeze before cooking) are soo high in trans fat which isn't good for those with PCOS. Stay healthy and thanks for this video :)
Hindi ko alam kung bakit naiiyak ako salamat sa mga information, I also have those symptoms pero natatakot lang talaga ako magpa check and after ko mapanuod 'to nagkaroon ako kahit papano ng lakas ng loob na magpa check na at harapin 'to. Thank you for the encouragement Joshien 🥺
I'm so happy that other women are speaking out about the topic of PCOS as someone who also have it (diagnosed by my doctor). And yes, transrectal examinations is scary AF. I also used to take all of the medicines you used to. As of right now, I'm still 17 and it's not an issue for me to deal with yet (I'd rather leave it for future me to deal with). But honestly, even if it doesn't seem to be an issue right now, it's still an issue to me because of the way our conservative society regards women who seek access to birth control. I used to take pills too to regulate my period, and I have stopped due to the costs (my mom's goiter maintainance medicines for are a bigger priority to me than that TBH). Although leaving it behinds costed me my mental health (I had a few *ahem* attempts already) but till then, I don't know what to do with it.
I could see that you've become a one tougher girl. Thank you for sharing the ups and downs of your life. I am seeing this as something that would inspire the younger generations on how to stay up their feet despite whatever challenges of life that come in their way.
Thank you for voicing out ate joshienn, I'm also planning to let myself checked because I suspected it of having PCOS, too. Thank you for being so brave. I love you always sunshine, thank you the enlightenment ♥️

Hopefully, you will uplift some organization in Cebu to encourage women to speak for themselves. Much love and support! keep up! we all need someone like you. Proud Carolinian here.
PCOS is sooooo hard to manage, huhu. I also have my PCOS since 2018 and my biggest regret kay now lang dyud ko nagpaclose monitoring sa OBY-GYN. Lahi2 dyud ang cases sa PCOS--others have irregular periods and iban kay heavy flows na adlaw2 for almost a month. Sad part kay wala pa syay cure but lifestyle change would help a looooot! Lavan siz.
Me too ate i was diagnosed PCOS 1 month ago 🥺 when my doctor said that i have pcos hugno jud kaayo ko te :(( but im slowly accepting it that i have this condition kaya ni nato te ☺️ ❤️
Took 2 PTs January this year, both were positive, got a TVS only to find out I have pcos upon consulting with my OB. I was so confused and my heart was shattered. Took pills for more than six months but I had to stop for my own sanity because the pills really messes up with my emotional and mental health. It’s such a blessing to have good support when you’re going through stuff like this. You’ll get better Joshien! Praying for you ❤️
My cousin also diganosed with PCOS but she had a baby and she called it her miracle baby, maybe because medications and prayers worked especially she really went to Simala and prayed for a baby. Nothing is impossible.
I don't really watch this vids but i watched it because you have been gone. You are so brave ate!~ And we love you and thank you for coming back and sharing this experience
☹️ I was diagnosed when I was 18. I haven’t got my period for 6months. Like I was always irregular and I already prepared myself because PCOS runs in our family🥺 Grabe gyud ang PCOS. Mine is left and right gyud sa ovaries ☹️ and people don’t understand it. Nobody can understand how stressful it is. ACNE, Hair loss, always tired, messes up your emotions and many more symptoms!!! Laban Joshien! Just talk to your doctor and drink the meds that u need ☺️🙏🏻

Watching this vlog encourage me to consult a doctor without a fear of being aware of my health(or being aware that im not as healthy as i used to be, idk its just a toxic mindset of mine or what) So grateful for this video rooting for your health po ateee ♡♡
Me too had a PCOS for a year. Been on a medication for 6 mos.(YAZ Pills) And also diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. (CHH) Better consult your doctor and ask her/him if your thyroid is also functioning well. Consult for an IM (endocrinologist). Stay healthy joshien.
