How to Tap Strafe on Controller + Best Controller Configs/Layout

- Here is my guide on how to tap strafe on controller. It is my personal layout and I have tried a bunch of different options but this is the one that I found to work the best. I also have a config for spam inspecting your heirloom on controller. There are no configs such as autojump, superglide, super jump or anything like that so you won't find that here. Hope this helps!

for someone without paddles what would you recommend?
At 6:55 When you go for a wall bounce do you use the right joystick to jump and then use “A” paddle to initiate the tap strafe?
Usually use a for it both times but you have to be very precise in directing your stick so you don’t tap strafe away from the wall. It takes a little practice
I'm stuck. When I click direction pad settings 5:00 I do not have the option for "Mode Shift Button" can you help?

What about on button layout you change left stick to right dpad and then turn on auto sprint would that work no con figs
Unfortunately no matter what we do configs are banned now so they never work

Your button to activate the tap strafe can’t be B or else that will happen
once u get used to it, controller tap strafe is krazy good

I use a dual sense edge ps5 controller is this not possible with that?
You can still bind a paddle to jump for it and it will work. But not my full controller layout since it’s 4 paddles. So basically yes, everything should still be possible
@@wattyswrld when I tried to set the config it tells me it does not work when I boot the game. Like it’s not compatible with steam configs

Yes same like it worked but when I jump and slide it dosnt work if that makes since like the keyboard pops up just not when I jump and slide
mine was working for months, mid game my reticle got locked and controller bugged out, and now no matter what i do it just isnt registering the tap strafe.@@timeisreal8650

@@NotoriousVIN I’m like trying to even re route my left click button to a different action and it won’t register. But when I disable steam controller input I can map that left click anywhere. So it’s not even registering my left click actions with the steam controller input enabled.
