I used Hemel oil and applied it to the surface with a sponge.🪵👍
Shame about the holes left from the screws, they needed to be shorter by about 6-8mm……..

@@LIWOBO1. I’m now in my eighties, but have been a wood turner for many years, I used to teach, but sadly my hands no longer do what they used to. I’ve made many platters/plates, I was asked once to make a whole dinner service for twelve. Dinner, pudding and side plates, they were from white ash……she was very pleased. If you are a beginner, you show great promise, keep it up, and remember, keep the bevel rubbing and make shavings. Most of all…….enjoy!
