I haven't heard any comments on the scene when Abe met a group of elderly men in a restaurant and he spoke about his sudden realization of how extraordinary his daughter is, in that she took in stride the sudden demise of her marriage and being left alone and managed to rise above it and carve out a career for herself. He said he had always focused his time and energy on his son and his daughter developed a strong character with little input from him. The other men at the table expressed the same bewilderment over how their lives turned out, based on the circumstances of their own lives. I found this entire scene to be profound.
I felt the same way!
I think this started when he heard his granddaughter play the piece he couldn't get his grandson to play.
That scene was written so well. It deserves more attention for discussion.
How on earth am I going to live without Abe Weissman??? He was my favorite character ❤❤❤❤
Jason Ralph has that classic Hollywood handsome look, he should've been in more roles and popular.
Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike.
Its so lovely to see Caroline and Kevin interviewed together. They were both wonderful in their roles & were great to watch.
this show ended too soon. it was so successful they could have give us at least a 6. season.
I feel like they lost one with Covid, and lost a couple episodes.
@@austinrider121 covid is reason for delay but not to cancel a season. but i guess someone or a few in the team wanted to move on.
8 season with every character having their own story ended properly .. like rose matchmaking plot was interesting .. they could have shown a good struggle...which would have been entertaining
I loved all the Mrs. Masel seasons. The final 5th season was brilliantly done. Season 5, Episode 6 was especially touching at the end when Midge’s video is played at the end of Susie’s Roast. At the final end of the last episode, we’re left knowing that Midge and Susie’s endearing friendship is cemented for life. … I loved this show so much that I binge watched all 5 seasons back to back. It was even better the second time around. Kudos to all the characters. And especially the production, visuals, and editing. Truly amazing.
13:06 - I LOVED the way the writers took the route they did. It was great writing.
Wow Caroline Aaron looks Amazing!!!
It would be interesting if they did a movie sequel like Downton Abbey - see a full movie with their lives in 80s or 90s.
I love her hair!!!
I’m gonna miss this show so much! The ending was great!
Brilliantly interviewed by Anna Rumor.
I've never watched this channel or Anna (I believe) but like everyone am a huge fan of Maisel and at 64 I'm qualified to give that a No 1 / GOAT seies.
Yes! A movie would be awesome!
One of the many reasons I enjoyed Season 5 was the lack of Sophie Lennon!
Same! I loved her character, but it was just A LOT to not take away from the true foundation of the show.
It's not over yet and yes I agree!
Agreed!
“Yeah… absolutely” is the interviewers favorite phrase.
WE NEED A MOVIE PLLEEASSSEE😭😭😭
I'm mostly interested in how Midge deals with Lenny Bruce's overdose.
Just brilliant! Perfect for someone who struggles with "conventional" exercise. Thank you so much. I had so much fun ☺️
I've just finished watching the final episode -- I won't spoil anything but I'll just say I still haven't decided if I'm completely satisfied.. I feel there is still more of the story to tell (which perhaps is a good way to feel about it). I can't get over how well the characters were developed and acted -- even the minor characters are fleshed out very well. One thing I still wonder about is why Kevin Pollak's character was not in the Gordon Ford audience scene at the end... there must be a story behind that, although Kevin doesn't discuss it in this interview. But it was fun to watch Jason Ralph give a little shout-out to his wife (Rachel Brosnahan) at the end of this interview.
Having just watched the final episode of season 5 there should have been a 6th season with an arc of her show business success after breaking on The Gordon Ford show. But I think the main message was the breaking of the glass ceiling.
Hopefully they do a movie🤞💜✌️
9:40- I found myself thinking TMMM felt like a play many times.
Good interview. To the editor; please remove the interviewers comments and “mhmm” while the interviewee was speaking. Very distracting.
MOVIE 🍿 PLEASE 😢
Mash had a terrible ending
Its funny that Moishe wasnt there cause he never believed she was funny lol
Only 4 episodes in season 5 unless more to come. No ending
They realease an episode every week. The last episode is to come on May 4 I believe
He says in this interview they dropped the first 3, then there are 1 a week until the finale. Finale airs May 26th.
I thought that was it, I finished EP 5 and was really confused thinking that was the finale
Disappointed in the final episode. Kind of predictable. Everything's up in the air with a huge anti-climactic ending. I mean, "Jeopardy"??????
Terrible ending! Worse than Seinfeld!
To many loose ends. What happened to her daughter, why give Susie closure but not Midge, what was her break through?
Loose ends are necessary. If everything is wrapped up in a tight little bow, it seems very fake.
Also, you haven't seen the ending yet, it has not come out yet.
I agree very disappointing ending…Midge was successful but ended up alone…in a big mansion eating in the kitchen alone with the cooks…what happened to Joel? Her kids?
Totally agree. Highly anti-climactic and predictable. Yes, oh, wow, Midge is a superstar! zzzz....zz.zzz.. But if i were a female I'd be highly conflicted: is Midge lonely in her mansion? She seems immersed in lonely isolation. That's the message I get. I see lots of regret. Doesn't seem to have been worth it. Her only connection to the human race seems to be a long distance phone call while watching Jeopardy? Jeopardy? Come on.
Excellent series…sad to see it end next week.
Unlike many I loved the way the Sopranos ended and will be fine if TMMM does the same and leaves storylines open.
Television has never been better since the advent of pay TV and now streaming!
