- Hey guys!
Someone requested a video for how to take 35mm pictures for beginners. As for film cameras, I would say starting out with a disposable one is best!
Any tips I give are based on my own opinions and do not mean that you have to follow them. Some people actually like to try the things that I avoid to do for different effects and styles!
I hope this video helps...

when i first started out i was told to always use flash even in daylight, it made for nicer photos imo especially if things were backlit
Sometimes I use flash in the daylight too just in case still! I hope people see ur comment because that’s a good tip
Won’t it be weird? With flash in the daylight? Do you suggest taking every pic with the flash on?
@@danaalahmadani6884 in my experience it's a good habit to get into when using a disposable camera with a fixed shutter speed because even if it doesn't add much (if anything at all) to a well-lit/well-exposed photo, you'll wish you had used flash when you look at the poorly lit ones. it's kind of comparable to always driving with your headlights on even during the day ; it doesn't help but it doesn't hurt either
@@danaalahmadani6884 over exposure is always better than underexposing
I already took a lot of photos without the flash on!!!! But the lighting was pretty good and before I even started using it I would only use flash if i wanted to use it at night
I love using my disposables! It’s fun to pick them up after being developed to see what you captured because usually I’ll forget by the time it’s developed so it’s a nice little surprise haha!
Same!!
are they the cameras that when u take picture, the picture comes out the camera then u can put it in a picture frame??
@@NicholasStaab7 No, that’s a Polaroid camera
Its a waste of plastic

1. be sure your finger isnt on the lense
2. if u want the flash on this brand , hold the flash button to charge it
3. use the flash when youre inside, unless theres natural light , dont use the flash in the mirror
4. have the next film reeled for fast pictures
I wish i knew all these before i got my disposable and got them developped
I made so many mistakes for so long before the person that develops my photos told me how to use one lol
Same... I'm in the midst of waiting for the results and I'm already anxious
@@izzyumar only the ones where i used flash in on a mirror came out bad! also I only received 14 out of the 27 pictures :( I guess the rest didn’t came out well or were able to get developped, I hope you have more luck than me!!!! xxx
@@belindabongomo1399 NOW I'M MORE ANXIOUS TT
@@izzyumar WELL?? DID THEY COME OUT GOOD OR
I don't know if this is a pro tip but listen to me : put a piece of white electrical tape over the flash when you take mirror selfie, the light from the frash will be much softer and the subject will be enough exposed (in most cases)
I just ordered the Kodak 35 mm in purple so excited going on a trip tmrw so hopefully I can take some cool pics in the fruit fields! Thank you for tips, love your videos x
I’m glad I can help!
What rolls did you buy? I just bought mine and I'm not sure which rolls to buy.
@@nativiteri4872 I bought the kodak 400 ultramax rolls!
Where did you buy it? I have been dying to buy one .

me knowing that I didn’t think about the finger in the photo and I’ve taken all of my photos just need to get them developed 😭
SAME BRUH I’m so scared that half of them will just be my finger
me making the same mistake even though i made a video about it
i did not know why the flash wasn't on when i would click on that button so thank you for the tip!
Np! I’m glad this helped
I had a doubt before watching this but I'm totally buying this now !
Thank you for this I’m actually ordering from eBay today ✨
Np! I’m glad it helped
u
RUclips somehow knew I’ve been getting into disposables 😂 ty for the tips!
I love your calm, soft and sweet voice! I'm being serious btw!
Thanks for the video
This was so help full!! Defs forgot to hold the flash down wayyy to many times 😂
thanks for the tips, can't wait to start shooting with my disposables!
No problem! I hope your pics turn out well
That tips number 1 got me haha.
WOW THANKS FOR THE HELP. CANT WAIT TO GO SHOOTING!!!
Np
Thank you for the tips. I just finished 3 of these cameras. Now I'm hoping that all the pictures come out great without finger in way. Again thank you.
I’m glad I can help
I have a question please, why didn’t u use a digital camera? I am doing a research on film photography and trying to figure out why isn’t film dead yet? Why do people still like to use a film camera with limited amount of shots that some of them could get ruined and not use digital cameras or phone cameras that are unlimited in the number of shots?
@@deenaassem1750 probably bc of the vintage filter, i rlly like how the film cameras lift up the colors
this is such a great video because disposable cameras should be fun but we can still make them as great as possible
how are you so good at this, love it
you’re so pretty :DD also which disposable camera do you prefer, the fuji one or the kodak camera?
Fuji brings out more of the cool tones and kodak brings out the warm tones in the photo. I recommend fuji because it gives the photo a vintage feel.
Thank you so much
@@lillaszekely1043 I agree with this completely! I use Kodak funsaver most of the time though because it’s usually the only one available near me
Thank u bro i had no idea about the flash being false at times
your voice is so calming
love from Korea 🤍 Thank you for useful video 😉
also it happens to me every single time: usually i don't get all the pictures i have taken. the first time i only got 20 pictures out of 30 i think because a kid at the beach put water on my camera (i'm still mad and it's been 2 years), the second time i took pictures with a 200ISO and in dark places so i only got 24 out of 28 i think and the last time i got my film developped i think i only lost 2 pictures out of 26 which is not that bad
I lost so many photos before too 😭
I will use all these tips when I buy them
Hey! I wanted to get a disposable camera for a while now, but I don’t really know how it works! Do we throw away the film inside when it’s finished? And do we go to the store to get our pictures? Love your video🥰❤️
Hii you have to go to a camera/film shop to get your film developed. You can even go to Walgreens! Usually they will giv u ur film back after they develop it...
itryfilm ahh got it! Thanks a lot❤️❤️
i am curious. how do you actually take out the pictures from the film? am i dumb or dumb?? teach meeee 😭 a video would be niceee
You found the video! And u r def not dumb
the finger one is so true 😭😭😭
I still make that mistake 😭😭😭
lol omg I feel old at 22...all the kids need a tutorial for this lmao
How long does it take for you to get your pictures back
When you scroll the wheel to advance the film and take another picture, do you scroll until the wheel stops or just until the number changes?
i need the answer to this too !!
when it stops :)
Thx for this nice video. After it, I bought a fun saver Kodak and I took pictures all over my town 🙂
Np! I hope your pictures turn out amazing
@@lesleyjeon I'll drop the disposal tomorrow so fingers crossed 😁
Would you recommend using the flash at a concert?
Hi, can you please tell me the name of the camera that you showed in the beginning and said that it's not practical for trips?
Canon AE-1 Program! I wouldn’t say it’s not practical for trips, but for me personally, it was too heavy for me to easily take in and out of my bag...
thanks for the tips✨
got a fujifilm quicksnap last week and will try a kodak after that ^_^
I like how at 3:21 You wanted to demonstrate how to not lose a moment and then you forgot your number 1 tip hahahah
Great tips.
Should we always use flash even if it’s daylight? Cause I saw that you have to put flash indoors and not outdoors especially if there’s sun? Can someone help me? And also this video is so helpful as a newbie owner of a film camera!

I have the same disposable cam but I haven't used it yet. Can it be used throughout the year (like a few snaps per month) and not just one occasion?
That should be fine!
hii me and my friends are getting a disposable on friday but we dont really know how to use the reel, any tips?
Hey! You spin the reel until you hear a click or the spinning stops to take the next picture... I hope this helps
@@lesleyjeon do i have to do the spinning thing between de photos with de m35 one?
@@giulianabeltrame8797 yes!
love your checkered pants and yellow camera! what are the brand of it? let me know
Hi! Thank you for your tips :) I have a question, does the flash uncharges by itself?
hi! love the tips!! youve been taking photos while traveling right? do you ask the customs workers to inspect the camera/film by hand, so that it doesnt get ruined by the xray?
hii, ik im not the creator but i believe film stocks under an iso 400 or less won’t be affected by xray. most disposable cameras have an iso of 400 (check yours just in case) so you should be fine :)
Many people with higher iso films like 800 or 3200 recommend putting the film in a clear bag, like a ziplock, with all the film taken out of the box when asking for a manuel inspection. This makes it easier for the people to check as they can see the contents and will avoid possible mishandling of film. If you are nervous about possible damage from x-rays, I would watch videos on this particular issue to be extra sure. hope this wasnt too late! safe travels and take cool pictures :)
Hi.. Im thinking of buying disposable camera but i came here to ask how do you extract the photo from the film to phone?
during a sunny day, i used the flash lmao these pictures aren’t coming out nice 😂
bought mine yesterday, i'll let you know guyss
I am doing a research at university about the revival of film photography and i am having a hard time understanding the difference between all kinds of cameras and film photography etc.. i need to know why would anyone still want to take photos using an analogue camera and if it is still fun to use black and white films?
Wonderful video, how can ı found this camera that u have and these kind of cameras?
am i meant to reel it everytime I've taken a photo? love the video :)
i have same question
cutie - thanks for the suggestions!
once you hold down the flash do you shoot at the same time or let go once the indicator is lit
Thank you for sharing!
thank you !

Hey I live there :)
Also cool picture, been there ofc
Thank you!! But, I want to ask about you hair hihi it’s too cute! What’s the color of your hair and the cut?
Thanks for this ❤️🌼
Your welcome
About to get my first disposable camera (been using instax and digital ones so far) so just want to know for disposable cameras, do we have to finish the using all the sheets in one day?
If you don’t want to take a lot of photos at once do you reel it until it stops or after you hear one click? Sorry if it doesn’t make sense, thanks for the helpful tips 😘
I think I understand your question... If you don’t want to take another picture after you already took one, don’t reel the camera again after you take the picture. I hope this was the answer you were looking for! If it isn’t, I can try to help again!
itryfilm oh yes it answers my question! Thanks so much
Amazing!
you are amazing!
@itryfilm Hi!! I use the Kodak FunSaver disposable camera and it has the amount of shots left at the top by the shutter but I'm still confused as to whether I still have shots because I noticed that it goes from 1 to arrows and then it reaches 0. If i see the arrows am I still able to take pics until it reaches zero or does the film end once it reaches the arrows? Hope this question makes sense!
The film is probably done, and the reason why there are arrows is so that you wind in the film into the canister fully!
Thank you
Hi!!!! I’ve been into disposable cameras lately and I was wondering if you could tell me which ones you use!! Thank you
I usually use any Kodak or Fuji one
I was just asked at target if I want a "protection plan" for one. What are they protecting against, emotional anguish if the film messes up? xD
Do I hv to use the flash when I’m outside??
wow this really helpful
Which disposable camera should I buy?? The fuji or Kodak 🧐
Both are good! I only show the Kodak ones in my videos because there aren’t any Fuji disposables in the stores near me...
what does the "12 free gratuities gratis" on the box mean
does disposable mean that i should throw it after the film ends?
Yes
@@victoriaangue5444 thank you! i found that kodak m35 is reusable!
i just started using the kodak m35 and i was wondering when to use the flash, is it okay if i use the flash outdoor when its daylight or is it not?
Hello! Using flash outdoors is recommended if it’s cloudy... but you can also use it when it’s sunny!

Sorry for asking, what is the different between disposable and non-disposable camera? Can u do a video? Since i want to buy it but dont know which the best?
No - disposable cameras only give you a certain amount of pictures and when they’re done it’s done - you can’t see them after you take them until you get them done up
One question..do i need to turn on flash every time I rewind it and how to turn off flash🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
hey! thank you so much for your video !! i have buy a kodak and i don’t know if i have too put the flash on ? for example a picture in the street or something like that!
thank you so much❤️
*when it’s sunny or just the day!
use flash whenever you think there isn't enough natural light! so you could use it during the day outside if it seems a lil foggy
Before you take your first ever photo in the camera do you roll the thing or you take the first photo and then you roll it?
is it for definite your pics won't come out good if you took them inside with no flash but there was bright lighting anyway
?
Hi! I just got the kodak funsaver today, can i use it next month? Will it remains in good condition?... Thank you
Heyy, you can def use it in a month!
hey! How do you edit your videos? thank you, love your content!!
Hello! I use an editing app called VLLO... I can make a tutorial if you would like!
@@lesleyjeon oh yes would be amazing! thank youuu!
What’s the background music?
How do I know if the photo is done? I got one of these today, i tried it, and after I pressed the shitter button there wasn't a click sound, and nothing has changed. Is the photo done when i press the button?
How do I get the pictures out of my cameras?
hi! I want to start using disposable cameras but I don't know where to buy them, could you give me suggestions btw thank u
Hey, beetween Kodak film camera m35 and this disposable camera u showed in video which one do u recomend more?
Hi I know it's too late but what camera are u using to film this video ☺️☺️😍
The company could make a shade a ring or something so you can't blocking the objective
Hi, sorry i dont really get the 4th tip. Can you explain further?
where do the pictures come out of
how to transfer the photos from this cam to phone?
how to look back at the pictures taken by the kodak m35
Would you film your process using the Kodak m35?
Yes! I just need to develop the film :)

i bought a used disposable camera from a vintage store, it doesn't have anymore films and i don't know how it works. Can i still use it?
did this kodak and fuji using polaroid ? I mean is it polaroid camera ? Or its using memory card/keep in the camera ?
Question: do u need to boy film for disponible cameras in order to take photos? Sorry ive never used a disposable camera before.
I don’t think so disposable cameras usually come with the film built in
How do I upload them to my phone x
How do you know when the red light is ready and ready to use the flash??
We throw away the camera after single use? Or just the film
