I got this in my recommended randomly, and I see why people love shooting film. It's a whole ritual and a skill to master. It's like driving a stick shift as opposed to an automatic. Loved the video.
Thanks for watching
Depends on the camera
So how do u convert the photos taken on the Kodak m35 into digital files? I bought one but the photos are on the film. How can I make them digital?
@@tigeryt637 I imagine you have to use a specialised scanner.
@@tigeryt637I think you have to develop them
My god, I’ve never felt more nostalgic watching a video! I used to have a film camera when I was a kid and those were the exact steps I had to do to insert the film. The noises are so satisfying and bring back so many memories aaaaah…
Thank you! Loved your short tutorial :) I just got one myself! The purple one

Whoaaaaa bring back our 90's! Really love your video! So calming yet interesting
Thank you
Very helpful, i also suggest to open the back part first instead of pulling up the top thingy since mine almost broke off 😂 just open the back then you can see the connection of that top thingy then just push it up.
Thank you! That will def help me for the next time 😭
Thank you for this video - just bought the green one. Also thank you for making the tutorial so easy to follow

I'm getting mine too!! Reaching in 2-3 days time and I'm already excited!!! Thank you to you!!!

what website did you buy it from?
You trolling with that thumbnail?!?! I was literally like “get yo finger out that lens!!!” lol
lol i literally mention in one of my videos that i kept wasting film because my finger was always in my shots 😂
Hi! Love your channel. I'm also starting out in film. 😊 And planning to get a Kodak M35 soon, thanks for the short & informative tutorial! 💛
Np! I hope you like the camera
Thanks, very soon. ❤️ I found another cool one online, a Lomo Simple Camera. 😄 hehe
Thank you for this video! I just received mine and didn’t know how to use it. Quick question: do you have to reel it in for each shot? Or does the film move by itself to the next one?
Npnp! And you do have to reel it for every shot!
hey does your flash works without the film? I just got mine and I'm testing it, the red light is on but the flash is not working :( does it work only with the film?
@@itmeansnothingg hey, my flash stopped working after a few shots, i didn’t even get to use a whole roll of film. I ended up buying a second hand film camera from online :)

Hii quick question. So for this camera, do the pictures turn out vintage-y like the regular disposable camera? Or does it have a more modern feel to it?
Hey! Def more vintage-y
@@xs063what kind of film do you reccomend?
4:14 I dont think you insert your film properly cause the rewinding handle on the left side is not turning when you wind the winder on the right side? is that right?
Thank you ! It was really helpful and super clear
AHHHH I LOVE THAT CAMERA! Where do I buy it? I see it all over ebay which makes me suspicious because its all at different prices and the same images.
My cousin actually bought it for me on ebay too! I guess it would be best to read the reviews to see if it’s trustworthy...
hi i’m selling that camera
This was really helpful thank you also you’re really pretty
Thank you! I’m glad I can help
how can you scan your pictures and transfer it to your phooonee
4:13 this is normal when the thing on the left doesn't moving??
Whats the difference between this and kodak ektar h35?
hi this tutorial is so helpful thank you so much for posting! I’ve had my kodak m35 camera for a while now, but the flash stopped working only recently. I tried changing the battery, but it still doesn’t work. Do you know if there’s any way that I can fix this? If not, would my pictures still turn out even without the flash working?
Hey, unless there's an easy fix documented somewhere, might be time to get a new camera. These things are made extremely cheaply and unfortunately the parts are not great. You might look into getting a cheap camera from the 60s or 70s. Those things are solid as heck.
Girl idk why this aint working it aint broke as i usef this earlier help i wanted to take pics for grad but things having a problem
Im planning to get the camera, i hope i can manage with film😅
Hi! Very noob question, do you need to use a battery for this? Or just when you need to use a flash?
The interior looked the same as my ancient camera that actually came from the days when digital cameras were not popular ~
side note: i dont really know exactly how old that camera is because my parents gave it to me as toys when I was little not expecting that people would go back to film and thought that I could just play with it cuz it wont be used. May I know if the film now can also be used in such old cameras? thank you
if it's a 35mm camera, you should be able to use any 35mm film!
@@lesleyjeon thank you!
very helpful!! thank you!
What if my film isn't well placed and I already take a few pics can I open it up and readjust?😭😭😭 Could you help me pls?

Omg thank you so much for this!!
Question: once you've got your first shot, then what's next? Is there anything else to do before the camera is ready for the second shot? Btw, great video! Thanks!
u wind it again first before taking another shot
@@rizgonzales3326 so if a take 10 photos i have to wind 10 times right? always with flash?
@@natalyestrella5235 yes, you always have to wind first before taking a shot. wind, then click! that's one photo for you. then if you want to follow it with another photo, wind and click again.
it's your choice if you want to shoot with flash. you can turn it off. personally, i like my pictures with flash, so it's always on throughout the time i am using it. i just turn the flash off if I am going to rest my camera.
take note that this camera does not really have a power on/off switch. no worries, because the camera does not consume much battery energy when the flash is off. other people make a mistake of winding after taking a picture, then leaving it just like that and resting the camera. don't do it because you might accidentally click the camera in ur bag or something--which means u might waste one shot of film. :) every shot is precious. always wind, then click. if you want another pic, wind again then click!
@@rizgonzales3326 Thank you very much, your information is very valuable to me, I will follow every step you said
@@rizgonzales3326 when you say wind it... how far do we wind it for
Спасибо большое за обзор!
thanks a lot 💗
Great video. Thank you. Just make sure when loading film that you get the film onto the top sprockets too. 😀
Gonna check out your follow up video now.
Thanks for the tip!
hii so i just bought one and i have a question so basically i was using it till the shutter number goes 3 and then it suddenly went back to S.. is that a problem? and what shld i do 😢 im so worry
you deserve more subscribers.
Thank you for the support
Hyeee ! Just a quick question, what does it mean when the counter on top of the camera turn S ? Does it mean the roll has finished and we can rewind and get it develop ?
When the film is used up, would I need a cannister to put it in? or can I keep it as it is to bring to the developer?
When I take a picture can I see the pictures I've taken or not??
@UR IG YOUR A LIFE SAVER 😂😭
Hello, does the camera show you the limit number of the roll (film) ? my roll is 24 exposures, we need to use always the flash for all the shots? love ur video c:
hi! it should tell you how many photos you have taken so far on the top right of the camera. Also you don't need to use flash on all the shots, but i def recommend using it when it's dark
@@lesleyjeon Thank you so much!
hi!!! is it fine to remove the batteries if you’re not using the camera? btw, i love ur vids!! xoxo
Question: do u need to buy film for Ilford Ilfocolor Rapid Retro Single Use Camera 27 exp
in order to take photos? Sorry ive never used a disposable camera before. What film do i need for this type of disposable camera??
i just got mine and i loaded the film on but i think i might’ve rolled it to far? it’s sort of in the middle of 1 and 3 but mostly 1. and i keep clicking the button to take a picture but it won’t take. i have the flash on and the numbers won’t move when i take a picture. any help?
How do you store the used film? Like is there a specific case for it? And how long does it last until u get it developed?
tysm for this tutorial !!💕
What film do you buy for it? Can you send a link?
may i ask? if you take pictures outside when it’s day time, do you still use the flash?
hi, i want to ask, if i already take the pictures can i open the battery's part to put the battery?
Do I need to reel the film (I mean, turn on the little half circle by film insertion) each time I take a photo? Thanks!
So I got this camera, but sometimes when I load the film & wind it, it comes over & I have to reload it😩 could there be something I’m doing wrong?
Nice very informative 💕
really helpful video! thanks
I’m glad I can help
Hi...i wanna ask, i bought the camera and when i turn on the flash, the red dot not brighten up.....but when capture pic the flash working, does anyone have the same problem? Or any solution?🤧
hey question for ya, how do you get the photos to your phone or is that even possible? and is the retroish look there already?
hi, before taking a new photo we have to reel the advance wheel thing(?) only right? or do we have to do other things?
hi! you have to reel it before every photo
im new! but what do i do after that one film is emptied, after scanning and stuffs, do i have to buy new film? and which film is the best? 😭😚
yes you’ll need to get a new film! i personally like the kodak portra 400 ☺️ you may go on google to search for sample photos to see which one you like 😊
@@poopybutthole88 thank youuu 😭❤️❤️
Thank you for this video. How do you do it to digitalized the photos after you take them? I'm new in this world
Hi i have a question pls help me 🥲
So, when u turn the advance wheel after taking a picture. Is the roll handle on the top left (next to the shutter button) supposed to turn as well? As in, turn on its own while you turn the advance wheel ?
thank you for this!!!
how about the fuji superia 500 and lomo 400? Is it okay to use that film in m35?
i just want to ask if the camera is one time use?? or can be used many times
Hi I have a question. I already took 6 shots from my M35 camera with a 36exp film but I suddenly opened the back of my camera and it got back to the S. Did I lose all the 6 shots I’ve taken? Also can I still use the 7th-36th shots, will it still be developed normally? Should I reload the film again?
hi do i only get the negatives develop after finishing it all?
So how do u convert the photos taken on the Kodak m35 into digital files? I bought one but the photos are on the film. How can I make them digital?
Great tutoría! Thanks ☺️
hi! i was wondering how you turn off the camera tho? hehe i just used my m35 earlier and i took 2 photos. idk how to turn it off :(
There’s no off button, but if you want to save battery, then I would just take the batteries out when you’re not using it
im confused. is this like a polaroid camera and a polaroid will come out?
Nope! It’s almost like a disposable camera, except reusable
thanks for your video! but i have a question, how would you know if it's run out of battery? :(
will i still be able to take photos?
Hey! The battery is really only for the flash, so just check if the flash lights up to see if the batteries for still working!
itryfilm omg I’m so happy to hear this! Cuz I’ve not been realising running out of the battery until I tried the flashlight... I was so worried that the whole roll of film would be wasted 😅 thanks so much!! 💓💓
@@lesleyjeon also usually when you power on the camera flash you will hear this high pitch noise if you don't hear it the batteries probably dead.
Hii i saw some people using this kind of vintage camera and posting photos on instagram, and i wanted to know if it’s possible to download the photos taken from these cameras on phone or laptop ?
loved your review! where did u buy it? I'm not sure if I should get it from amazon or not
thank you! my cousin bought it for me on ebay
Am i supposed to turn off the camera ?
Hi, i was wondering where you got yours cause i’ve been looking for it everywhere but cant find it :(
Hello! You can find it on ebay
@@lesleyjeon can you send me the same link because last time i bought one from there and it never came :(
Hey after we take pictures can we leave the battery in or should we take them out and put them back in when the camera is in usw
I only have one camera that recommended taking the batteries out when not using the camera (because of leakage), but I guess to be safe you can with this camera!
was super helpful, thanks 🤍
thanks for the video it really helped me set mine up!! i was wondering if after you take a pic do you have to turn it to the next number every time?
Ur a star !!!!!
Hi just wondering if u would no if this okay or not??? (all good if you have no idea ahaha)
so I inserted my roll of film into my camera however it made a long wiring sound, so i went into a dark room to check it and it had rewound back into the camera. I just pulled the film out again and it seems fine have i ruined the film??
thankyou so much if u have no clue that’s totally fine ❤️❤️
Hello! As long as the film wasn’t exposed to light, it should be fine!
I know this si extremely late, but does the camera only take Kodak film, or can it use any 35mm film?
Hi! It takes any 35 mm film
hii , I'm trying to find on line where to buy and I'm not finding … Where did you buy yourse and how much was it ? thanks:)
You can get that Kodak on Ebay :)
hey! i just got one of these and i'm in the middle of shooting a roll but my shutter isn't making the click sound anymore and my film won't reel in any further... i double checked the batteries & the flash and i'm not sure if maybe i loaded the film wrong or something? is there anyway i can save the pictures i already took without ruining the whole roll?
Hello! You can def save the pictures! Just make sure to reel in the film all the way before you take it out
Hiya!!! I have this camera and completely forgot to put a battery in it before shooting, does it really NEED it? Or is this film ruined ?
I told somebody that it should be fine because I believe it’s only for the flash, but I’m going ask the camera shop just to confirm. I’ll write back here when I do!
I got the Kodak Gold 200 3x24 exp. film and it’s not working with the camera. Is it because I got the wrong film? Cause I keep turning the camera shutter and it won’t catch onto the film and the film won’t come out of the roll. Can anybody help me 😭🥲?
hi! that type of film should work with the camera... are you sure you're inserting it correctly?
i need help. a couple of days back i loaded the film and everything, basically did everything right but somehow i couldn’t click the pictures. today when i picked the camera up again i noticed the top part is showing S instead of the number 1 that i turned it to the other day. Right now, i’ve tried to rotate the thing to show the number 1 in order to take pictures but no matter how much i turned the thing it still doesn’t show numbers
Hello! It sounds like the reel isn’t attached to anything which means it’s a mechanical problem... I would take it to a shop to have them look at it, but it’s not guaranteed they can fix it ;(
where can we change our shots? like a soft copy of the shots?
hi! when i press the click button, there is no sound going off??? what do i do 😭
