The Wisdom of Odin is a vlog of my journey through Norse Paganism, a way to assist others along their journey, and a place to promote a positive image for all of paganism.
While I personally declare myself as a Norse Pagan, I speak on topics that also involve aspects of Asatru, Heathenry, and other pagan identities such as Slavic/Celtic/Germanic paganism.
The Wisdom of Odin is not associated or affiliated with any orginizations religious or politcial in nature. This channel/community is inclusive to all but is also non-political.
All gatherings held through the Wisdom of Odin and its extended community are private events held and organized by the members of the community. The only service the Wisdom of Odin provides is a place to connect with others of similar beliefs in the old ways.

Idk if I have ever commented about the first time the Gods gave me a sign or not, but I am going to now.
Some context: I was a theological agnostic until i was about 22 or 23, I am currently 25.
I was waiting in my car for my girl at the time, I had been looking into Norse Paganism for a month or two, and I called out and asked "Odin, Thor, if you exist, if you are real, prove it, show me, send me a sign" and the sky went from clear and sunny to having a dark cloud front come in from the east and a MASSIVE amount of Ravens, at least 70+, there were too many to count, came from the north and landed all over the area I was in.
From that day on I've been a Norse Pagan.
I had a similar, and it was recent. I’d been looking into Norse-paganism as my girlfriend is, and I was open to the idea and it seemed very interesting to me. Not many things make me as interested as this did. We had a very bad storm roll through one night, and I’ve always been energized by storms so I was enjoying it through my open window. Out of curiosity I called out, “Thor if you are present now please give me a sign as I feel I am not alone”
The storm was way east, been done for a while. Suddenly two strikes from seemingly directly over my room, followed by house shaking thunder. I just knew that was the call I was asking for and I’ve been learning as much as I can since
I like this new format.
Loki is a force of change, usually big changes in my experience. Loki doesn’t prank you , he shows you a way and sets you on it. I’ve given a few offerings to Loki and I am grateful every day for that connection
Not always big changes, although he did compel me to stop smoking. He never wanted me to start in the first place, but you know. Teenager; rebellious, all that stuff. It was tough, but it was worth it.
My cat I had for 13 years recently passed away. On the night of which he passed, I went outside where there was a big beautiful full moon, and I prayed to Freyja. While praying to her I started feeling a sense of peace, which was what I needed that day. Going outside and speaking to the Gods truly works.
I had I believe soon after my conversion to norse from christanity, Odin came to me in my dream that night, answered my questions and should say the rest is history. Hail Odin.

I had the same thing, Odin in a sense welcoming me into his arms, as I abandoning a false god. As if to reassure me that I did the right thing.

Today, I had to go to my girlfriend's home because we had an argument, I don't like that so I went there, and on the road, 2 minutes before going into her house, I spoke to one of the Gods for the first time, it was with Odin, I said Hello, I forgot to tell who I am, but anyway, I wasn't sure about what to say to him, but I asked him for help. And just before opening the door of the house, I had so many chills on my back, everything went pretty good, the disagrement didn't go bad, idk if it's a sign, but I'll definitely buy a good beer and a candle, and do an offering to Odin for his help, as little as it may be

Same happened to me. I was jogging and meanwhile I thank the Allfather for everything he had provided for me and suddenly in the clouds the shape of a horse appears!

My story happened a few days ago. It was raining so i was bringing stuff inside from my backyard and i decide to say to the gods odin and thor if they are real if so give me a sign. When i said that a raven (which is uncommon where i live) landed on the fence and i get a sudden feeling it was a sign from odin. Also Later that night a thunderstorm happened.
My most recent sign I've received. For reference I live in coastal tx and while I was out on a walk on my property I saw a fat rat snake trapped in some wire having recently ate and too big to fit through so I got some cutters and freed him up and while I was in fear for it's life the poor snake was constantly biting me and musking. So after releasing it in the wood line I started repairing the wires I clipped and I felt the eyes of jormungandr upon me and I realized that was a sign to warn me of my gluttonous nature so I am on a personal weight loss journey.

Last couple of months I was feeling very bad and I was starting to feel like I am not good enough. I just stopped fighting, until one night. I dreamed of Odin. I don't remember details, and he didn't say anything. I just saw his face and there were some lines drawn on the side of his face where his eye is missing. I woke up very excited because I felt it was him, and I felt like I have a new strength to get up. I don't know does this help, I just know that every time I think about that dream, I am more and more sure it was him. And since then I feel amazing. Thank you for your videos, I love them. ❤️

My experience with Odin and Loki 😊
Loki energy is: dieing, trying not to laugh because you're making so much noise and your husband is trying to sleep. Giving a little nod to Loki, in appreciation of the humor in chaos. Then getting snuggled into your blanket, ready to watch the show, and the controller batteries are dead... And you hear him laugh, lmao.
Or having a coughing fit, while he laughs, after denying him the waffles he wanted for offering, lmao.
But it's also deep revelations, dream work, and transformation. I've learned so much from Loki... He took away my fear, and is teaching me to master my emotions, and to quiet my fear and anxiety. He's teaching me to embrace, and find humor in the chaos of life. He's teaching me to not fear my power, to not question myself so much. To embrace the darkness of my past, and the darkness inside me, and realize that while is a part of me, it doesn't define me.
Odin will guide me to "happen across" some information, or guide me to deep revelations. He will speak, but he is a man of few words. He has a deep, slightly gruff voice of an older man. He is teaching me about my nordic ancestors, and their ways. He's also guiding me to discover who I want to be.
Cernunnos came to me in a dream. He showed his face to me, and told me I was his. He's a calm, fatherly energy. Masculine and sexy. Or young and joyous. Likes my whiskey lol.
So funny story that I don't share a whole lot because it sounds crazy, but the people sharing their stories in the video made me realize this is probably a good place to share. Back a few years ago I was agnostic/atheist but I was aware of the dead trying to get my attention at night. I was in an area where there was a death at least once a week so there were quite a few people trying to keep me up at night. I wasn't getting any sleep and I was rather disturbed by the fact they were reaching out because of the agnosticism. One night I was exhausted but couldn't sleep, trying to ignore the dead, when all of a sudden a man in a green tunic, red cloak, and red hair showed up in the corner of my bedroom and told me to be assertive when telling the dead to leave me alone. I did and immediately started to drift off to sleep but mumbled, "Thanks, Loki," before dropping off into sound sleep. Didn't think anything of it the next morning. That night I was on my couch reading, minding my own business, and it was like a bomb went off in my head and all I could hear was, "Lokadottir, Lokadottir, Lokadottir..." on and on. So yeah, the gods will make themselves known if you don't get it at first.
Sometimes when I'm after offerings i feel warm in my back, like friendly touch and I feel power, like some energy is boiling in my veins.

It’s funny as soon as I started researching my ancestral faith I had a goddess reach out to during a moment of meditation. The goddess Marzanna of the Slavic Pantheon called out to me. I think I might slowly be converting to Rodnovery or the Slavic native Faith.

I'm very scientific, very logical, and It's funny you mention Skaði because she has been the one diety that has reached out to me, and me being as logical as I am, I disregarded her signs, until one day, 85° in Florida, out of nowhere and ice cold breeze hit me. At that point, I'm like, ok, I'm 90% sure this is Skaði, lol. A couple days later I made an offering to her, spoke to her and just greeted her, didn't ask for anything, and the energy was simply amazing and strong.
We all have our own way of connecting with the gods. When Loki wants my attention, for whatever reason, I feel strongly compelled to write about him, to the point of it being a compulsion; a yearning so urgent I can't set it aside. When I need him, I just ask if he's there. If he is, I feel this comforting warmth on the right side of my head, flowing down onto my shoulder. It's an amazing way to communicate.
I’m early! I recently saw a sign, I was driving down a road I never drove down before last Friday and I saw a hawk. It was mesmerizing.
Sounds like it was just hawk, remember not to take all everyday things as a sign of something. I have to remind myself sometimes.
@@grant1989 I understand what you’re saying but there was more to it that is a little too personal to share on the internet but for me it was a sign. I know not everything is a sign this was actually only the second sign I’ve received from the Gods and Goddesses. There’s a certain feeling you get that you just know it’s not an every day thing.

Some are too quick to dismiss your experience as a sign, as if they are the gatekeepers of what constitutes a legitimate experience for you. I personally don't dismiss ( nor necessarily accept ) the experiences of others based on just a sentence or two on the internet. In all likelihood, it's safe to assume that the hawk means more to you than just a bird in nature. Let's not forget, that our Gods manifest strongly in nature, Abrahamic religions brainwash others into the expectation of spirituality being removed from the natural world and hence unobtainable by us. I hope your experience was a sign, and I hope it guides you well.

I tell you, recently I went on a hike to make an offering with my brother and on our way there a deer came out of the blue and just held eye contact with us for such a long time. It was incredible. We went on to make an offering and immediately after this huge gust of wind swept through the valley like a song being sung back to us. Truly an amazing experience
Before going for my walk, I had asked Odin to wander with me. From the beginning of my walk to the end, I heard the sound of a tap; as from a cane or a staff hitting the pavement every second step through the whole trip. Mostly the warm blanket of wisdom enveloping me, and answering all questions that were burdening me
I love all of this; just remember, as a follower of Odin. Your connections will become a transaction between you and him, his pursing of knowledge and wisdom has not ended and will not end until the next Ragnarok, or Ragnarok itself.
I saw "my" two ravens across the street yesterday. It's been a month or so since I've seen them. Earlier in the morning I heard an owl calling. That is very rare. I have an odd property. It's kind of secluded despite being in town. I get a lot of stray dogs and cats here and more and more birds show up every year - doves, ravens, crows, hawks, an the occasional owl.
I keep seeing crows and ravens everywhere I go. I too feel the chest tightening and heart racing. I know Odin sees me and watches over me. Hail Odin our AllFather.
I started to get into Norse paganism when I was making my own runes and when I was going through my ancestry. The moment I was going to make my runes I was looking for a lot of information and I even made a loose incense to give my runes some energy. while making my incense out of no were the herb Tabocco popped in my head, At first, I found it weird but then after a moment of listening to stories about Norse gods, I noticed that Odin sometimes would disguise himself as an old pipe-smoking hooded man searching for wisdom. Of course, I did not have tobacco at home and it was very pricey to get good quality where I live. after a week of the weird pop up, I went on a walk by a mall and found a full non used cigar on the ground. of course, I took it home and add it to the incense mix as a kind of offering to Odin. When that was done I was going to bless and enchant my rune stones. I set up a workplace outside, and after a good hour of enchanting I felt something in front of me, it was dark and I only sat there with a black candle. mostly I would be afraid to sit outside in the dark but I felt empowered at some moment and that presence that was like standing in front was like helping me focus my energy into my own rune stones. Was it Odin that helped me through the blessing ritual? maybe, I was sure to leave an offering of liquor and some cake outside as thanks to the gods.
I hope maybe this story was interesting to read.

The first time I reached out to the gods I was addressing anyone who listened and said "I need to be beaten with a sign to read it" and Loki said BET and I couldn't ignore him lol he is now my patron. 3:57
I was an atheist for about 3 to 4 years but recently went on a river trip and was reading about Nordic paganism
Saw a raven following me all along the trip, everywhere I went, and said, "Odin, if you're there, show me a sign"
Nothing much at first, but the raven never left my side and would sit on a pole outside my tent all night

I'm 'new' in this religion. And why do I say 'new' is because since I can remember anything I do always have the same dream over and over again. I never experience a regular dream. And the dream is that I fall into the water from a longship. I sink pretty fast, even while someone tries to reach out to me and try to catch me out of the water, I can not swim towards the surface.
Since I realized that this religion found its way back I felt peace, like straight away. Since that moment on I talk towards the gods, everyday on my way to work. And I mostly got the exact same feeling as you just described. That is insane!

I'm new to this and this but this is the first connection I've every felt with something higher. My faith in Christianity fell a long time ago...
I first announced my self to Odin and ask him for a sign. That night I woke up in the early hours of the morning to my kids trampoline bouncing up and down... When I check outside there was nothing there and no evidence or somebody being in my Garden.
Next I asked for some guidance from Tyr. I've recently been treated without justice and have been thrown into a dark place. 1 hour later I received a phone call from somebody related to the matter that I've been unable to get hold of in weeks... This person accidentally rang me thinking my number was that of a work matter. As well as that I received 3 job interviews in the same day. All of which has gone silent and I had given up hope.
This has changed my life and I have only revelry started to truly believe, learn and do my research.
Time is a sacrifice... you are absolutely correct... in this modern world of fast paced rushing around chaos/stress and madness ... setting time aside to going out to connect in nature or even at a personal altar is more powerful than you may think... and yes... they are always listening. Skol !
What You and others say in this Video is SO TRUE You get so many sighns From the Norse Gods and Goddesses When Following Norse Paganism! :D I was actually a wiccan Pagan Before I I became Norse Pagan But I kepted getting Signs from The Norse Gods and Goddesses And now infact I still Follow Wicca but I Primarily Warship the Norse Gods and Goddesses But on My alter I have (just the way I have orginised my alter this in no way ordered out of favouritism) Hern/ Freya /Mother Gaia/Crohm/Odin (I call him the ruin Weaver) and the Elements Earth/Air/fire/water/Spirit I meditated And I was guided to Put them in that Order and just feels right to me and its an Amazing Experience when I feel thair Energy Combined I do Believe You can mix Wicca and Norse paganism That may not work for everyone but it Certainly works For me! :) and Thank you for your videos Skoll!
The God's I connect with the most personally would probably be Odin, Thor, Tyr, and Freya. Odin helps guide me along my way and find my path, Thor helps me and let's me know he's got my back and give me strength, Tyr temps me and tells me to do what is right, Freya helps me grow and cultivate plants to bring new life to the earth.
I frequently see crows and ravens, extreme friendliness with insects, I have even raged out 1 day and a big storm popped in in west Monroe Louisiana with almost hurricane strength winds. It calmed when I did. It even started a thunderstorm when I raged again.

There’s a big difference between placebo effect and actuall sighns . Sometimes we know damn well it’s a coincidence and then there’s other times and that we know DAMN WELL that was a sighn . There’s a big difference and you can feel it . Feel it . Not just notice . With me I could always FEEL it when I got a sighn and there’s no question about it.

I felt Thor while I was walking on Uppsala, remember whole day was sunny and there was no sign of rain or any thunder, and during the time I was at uppsala I heard raves, and after couple of minutes Thor decided to send me a thunders which was striking three times And after that I was spiritualy shocked but happy in the same times because Thor really helped me understand the call. Jacob, I am an Eclectic Wiccan on a mostly Celtic path. Morrigan is my Goddess I have gained my strength from her for almost 20 years and boy, do I have a story how she chose me...lol! I have been drawn to Norse Paganism for a while but almost feel like I'm 'Cheating" on my Celtic Goddess as I have been drawn to researching more about Odin. I have come to realize this "Calling" is finally the balancing of my path. I can still continue to honor Morrigan but again, Odin is presenting himself for some reason and he is strong... Thanks for your videos as they have rejuvenated my relationships with the Gods and Goddess's...
Damn, I know this is old but how did Morrigan choose you? I feel drawn to her as a "dark feminine" archetype but she also kind of terrifies me.
@@QuietPrism She kept making her presence known whether through art, crows, ravens etc. I found that once I accepted her, I had her tattoo’d on my arm. After doing this, I questioned myself and this decision while on a walk through the forest. By the time I reached the end of the trail, I heard a commotion. I stepped into the clearing and was at the oceans edge and right above my head circled 3 juvenile ravens…..Boom! If that wasn’t a message. At first, I didn’t understand why my friends had the more feminine nurturing goddess’ and I had this crazy dark goddess. I came to understand that I am not that type of woman. I work in a dark industry and she gives me the strength I need. You might ask what I do? I work in a jail….
I’ve recently been researching Norse mythology and considering following Norse Paganism. Thor in particular has called to me. Today I decided to ask Thor if he wanted to work with me. Using tarot, I tried to connect with him to see if he wanted to work with me. After pulling a card and getting an answer that seemed like maybe, I went for a drive. I was in a parking lot, messaging a friend who is more knowledgeable about Tarot and what the card may have meant. I then looked up and saw a vehicle with a license plate that said THOR parked right in front of me. I took that as a pretty good sign that he may want to work with me.
Genuinely had never spoken to someone else who had Odin make them feel like they were having a cardiac event haha, He used to make my back hurt so bad, but now its like a gentle familiar pressure

I've had a couple solid experiences with Freyr and Thor. Watching this video has reminded me of them, thank you. This winter has been a bit hard, I have felt a bit of a stress on our connection because of it. I'm not sure whether this was seasonal (as I felt a stronger connection to Frau Holle), or something of my own fault, but I am inspired to just talk to them again and reforge the connections I once felt!!!

Great video! I wonder if you could pull some more experiences like this from the community for more videos. I guess it would be hard content wise as not many people would film themselves and stuff >_< You've been putting out some great ones and really hitting some nails down for me personally. I'm coming out of the 'honeymoon' feeling of committing to the faith; I've already had great advice to just chill out and take my time. A lot of what was said here also plays into that, just going out and doing an offering when it feels right. I was putting a bit of pressure on myself for not getting out to my alter; these videos and the amazing community help with my mental battle of hating and loving myself lol

I had a dream that was all over the place and random, but suddenly there was a break in the chaos when a giant raven perched above me and stared at me, in my dream I got chills and a feeling of divine power. Idek how to explain it because it was something I never felt before
I went on a walk recently, out in nature, a historical trail. I used my pendulum and it took my boyfriend and I to a little bog-like area.
I poured out an offering of water to the gods.
Once we continued our walk, only a few minutes later, we began to hear the calls of ravens, and shortly after hearing their croaks, two flew overhead.

I was on the phone with my mom saying that I think Loki was trying to get my attention since there seems to be spiders everywhere lately. As I’m telling her this my four year old says “look mommy there’s a spider over there.” I look and sure enough, there was a spider on the wall.

Me and my dad came outside and there were 2 ravens on the pole . We don't see many ravens around here. My dad died unexpectedly a couple weeks later.

Although my most recent experience with Odin I was out of it for a few days questioning alot of things and almost lost and filled with self doubt my fiance and I was doing some DoorDash and we was crossing this bridge at about 9:30 to 10pm and and entire flock of Ravens flew over head and perched on this tree next to where we had to stop so we could merge and they were all squawking it was so overwhelming and empowering at that point I wasn't lost I felt whole I felt the presence of something greater I would like to believe the All Father was there with me and give me a sign to hold my head up high it's okay and keep pushing forward.
The fact you brought up other deities is interesting... It's expected, but interesting. I did a DNA test a while back, I knew I was very Scandinavian but I wanted to know how much exactly, the results came back and it was 60% Scandinavian (mostly Sweden and Norway) so, I started researching the Norse gods again then that spread into Suomenusko, and that's when I discovered Tapio, I plan on making my first offering to Odin tomorrow however I think Tapio is going to be the first non-Norse deity that I'll make some sort of offering to - I've always liked forests, they're very pretty so it just feels right to reach out to him, maybe me discovering him mainly thanks to a video game was a sign, hahaha. Who knows, that could just me being superstitious.

So I watch this video a couple of days ago and the story about Loki caught my attention and I was really intrigued. I have never been interested in talking to Loki before I saw this and I still haven’t yet but he has been on my mind since. Then the next day my dad got a call from a friend who owns a furniture store and he said he has 10 brand new beds that he want to just give us so my whole family got a new bed and a bunch of pillows. Then later that night a spider crawled on my hand when I was sitting on my couch and I have never had a spider crawl on my hand be before and I hadn’t seen a spider in a long time.
I’m on my fiancé’s account but I’m doing research because there is just to much reaching out from these gods. I come from a Christian house hold and held love for Jesus. So at about 14-15 ish. I was gifted a rune of protection from my aunt. It was cool I played Viking over and over again. The only gods I knew of were Loki Thor and Odin. I was like Vikings make sacrifices and pray for the gods to gift certain certain things. My mom owned Flemish giants. And I owned one or two. I remember having a dry summer and I wanted to play in the rain around my neighbors pond surrounded by a corn field. So I kinda just let go prayed and I offered my favorite rabbit up. I sat down on my knees and just waited with my eyes closed and just let my mind go blank. After a couple of hours of just kneeling and meditating I felt a light pitter patter of cold droplets hit my face. I was shocked. And like an immediate fear ran through my head like I did something very wrong and ran back to myself and I didn’t sleep that night. I just convinced myself it was coincidencidental and lock it away in my mind. Very recently my daughter and my fiancé had one of odins ravens visit them. A couple of weeks later she was driving and Odin was sitting in her back seat. She said she was scarred but knew whoever it was meant her no harm and a soothing feeling of protection ran down her spine. She looked in the rearview mirror and he was gone. I am currently struggling with my company, with my love life, and just trying to hold my shit together. I was scrolling through one of my phone apps and a hooded man with a beard, in a dark area, with snow falling all around him quoted the poem Good Timber to me. I can’t find the video anywhere. I have spent all day trying my hardest to find it. I can’t keep denying any of this. I need structure and moral fiber and these gods keep reaching out and making themselves known to me. I will learn to love them and to give them devotion.
Gooda'y after doing runes reading for a friend of mine ,She's introduced me to her cat a black one. During these videos I went outside my place for a small walk and my neighbor has a black cat sitting at the window never knew she's had one until this morning 🤷♀️and yes it's was a black cat 🐱 I'm sure is not a coincidence⛎♓♈

My God that speaks to me often is Odin .. I see ravens from time to time.. I use that as a sign from him to give me a sign when I see Hunnin and Munnin ... (probably misspelled that but.. )
I watch this video as I was driving down the road, well, rather I listen to it. I immediately felt the need to connect to Thor as, like you, I have trouble connecting with any other deity than Odin. So, I called out to Thor. Immediately. And I do mean immediately. I saw a lightning blasted oak tree. And then I saw another, and another, and another. Hail the gods
I'm prepping to give my first offering to Odin and I was wondering what to bring so I asked Odin what to bring and I felt I should bring something I like to drink . So I asked what should I bring for him to drink and immediately thought of wine specifically the bottle of wine I was recently given even tho I don't drink wine.......so basically I'm planning to have a beer with the allfather 😂😂😂
I have had the same reaction when connecting with Thor. It can be easy to discount an emotional reaction, but a complete physical reaction is quite hard to deny.

This was very interesting for me, as I am in a viking reenactment group and we just split up from the old one because of drama - anyway we were a bunch of people needing to figure out a name for ourselves, and one of the suggestions were Skári - which means young mew bird, and that meaning people didn't like, but they liked the sound of Skári, so I looked into names from the norse mythology and society that sounded similar to Skári - and I found Skadi and Kari... And I really liked the thought of it being a word play on Skadi, as you should not name anything the same as the Gods since they don't like the disrespect, so I really advocated for the Skari (Skadi) name - we ended up with Gungnir, and that is a very nice name, but now that you talked about Skadi I felt something - I think maybe I should look more into Skadi wholeheartedly for myself (and not for the group as previously)
We're currently working on a shield design for our Gungnir, with ravens and the Gungnir rune, so excited to see what will come out of it 😀

Believe it or not, I just found out about Norse paganism 2 days ago and today I had a dream that I was yelling out to Odin and Thor and then a storm comes out of nowhere with lots of lightning and ravens flying all across the sky. Looks like I'ma have to look more into this.
It seems like gods tend to use people who may not even their own followers as signs for their people. Like that hiker woman, there is a good chance that she was not a pagan or a follower of the norse deities, but she was used by the goddess as a sign for you. its really quite fascinating when you think about how gods seem to pull strings to line up the right circumstances for those signs to occur and be perceived by the right people.
not sure if it was sign, but a owl swooped over my head and onto a tree in front of me. had a frog in it's mouth and gulped it down. Biggest owl I've ever seen, 2 feet tall.

Hey Wisdom Of Odin and others I need your advice as this seems the best place to go for that I hope... Basically I've reached out to the gods since for quite some time now I just feel they are real and I want to take my journey and exploration of this amazing faith further however I feel I'm unable to do that due to me still living with my parents and they are sweet Christian believers with I'm cool with but they (especially my father I feel) wouldn't support me or allow me to make an alter to make offerings or to even follow the belief in the old gods and I feel helpless due to not being able to pursue this. What should I do if any of you have any ideas or thoughts on this. Loved the video as always.
Not really one of the biggest signs but as a follower of Odin, I see a lot of crows in pairs, once I saw them watching me get in a car and another time I got woken up by crows, I don’t usually wake up fast if it’s not my alarm but I specifically remember saying something like “okay okay I’m waking up” and right after I stand up I see a lot of crows fly near my window, felt some presence there
(For the record crows are not common here this time of the year)

For context: I am 25 years old, i’m from northern Germany, near Denmark (from the old home of the gods :)) and i’m a pagan for 7 years now. But i have never experienced anything like this. I’ve never got a sign from the Gods. What am i doing wrong?

Hello! I am a young Catholic, but for about 5 years I have been very interested in Norse mythology and its customs (I have around 10 books on the subject). I have multiple daily signs of the gods and I have even celebrated some blots. every day I listen to groups like skald or wardruna. But for a few weeks I feel as if I no longer find them, not even in folk music. Can anyone give me any advice? Thanks so much for reading :
I think if you see something that sets your intuition buzzing to make you think it might be a sign, your personal intuition should be trusted. I think intuition is gods and spirits knocking on your door so to speak.
I had an experience with Loki not to long ago. My fiance and I were both talking about the old ways and the Gods cause I showed her a meme it said Norse mythology and had a picture of a huge book than it had another picture Norse Mythology if Löki wasn't a dick and had a little paper back book. No more than we was joking about that I went to turn around and get my whiskey off the roof (full 5th of jim beam my brother just got me cause I sat it out there to get cold) well I go and open my window and reach for the bottle and its about a hands length from my grasp as it slides off the roof and smashed on the ground in front of my house. I try to look at that as him saying this is your offering to me for today.
I was sat around a fire and I was thinking about this religion and it was very quite but as I sat up and grabbed my necklace it instantly started to storm for 5 minutes and thunder hit a few times. Weird experience not sure what to think of it. I am also brand new to this.
I had an experiance that got me started down the path of the old ways when i was in the military just your typical patrol we where about 3 klicks out from the fire base when i hurd a wisper and looked to find it. Is not unusual for a new private to be jumpie on his first patrole in a combat zone and think he/she hears something but then i hurd it agean wispering( just alittle further and) then it got cut off to the sound of gunfire and a pain in my lower back like i had gotten hit by a truck befor falling to the ground and crawling to cover thinking this is bad im hit when i had gotten the strength to fire my wepon in the direction the gunfire was coming from i relised that a god was guiding my actions for that day and if it wherent for my gear i would have been paralized but at the time i didnt know who it was at the time but i did have my suspisions because at the time i was feeling lost in religion and the Catholic priest i was talking to wasnt helping he just kept telling me to pray and read the book of psalms. It wasnt untill my second deployment in the military that my suspisions where confermed when odin spoke to me as i layed on the ground after getting thrown from a lapc (light armered personal carrier aka buffalo) i wont ever forget what was said vallhala is waiting why do you not come? To witch i answered i still have a lot to learn and alot to give
I have been looking into viking symbols tonight. Then read some tales from the pros edda. Later i went outside to answer the call and had to turn my phone down because i thought i heard a howl. I heard the howl again from what was probably a coyote. We arent supposed to have wolves in NC. But since i made an altar in the woods I've been hearing howls that sound like wolves. I had the thought of it being one of Odin's wolves. I went back inside. While thinking about how I've been giving Whiskey offerings to Odin but it's said that Odin can sustain himself on Wine alone. So i thought i should be leaving Wine offerings instead of Whiskey. I sat down and was like should i go out into the woods and leave a Wine offering right now? Then my cat who has recently grabbed and tried to play with my Thor's Hammer necklace and decided to lay right on top of my copy of the Pros Edda and sleep on it...jumped onto my shoulder purring. So i was like yeah i need to go leave an offering. I went out into the woods and left a Wine offering to Odin and had a wonderul moment in the woods and felt connected to Odin and the other gods and godesses of asgard. It was a great experience. I grew up in a Christian family but never felt any connection with "god". Here recently I've been having dreams where I am out in a forest or on a mountain and in these dreams I feel like there are different beings watching me and whispering behind the trees or up in the branches. Well today I wake up from one of these dreams start scrolling RUclips and found one of your videos and instantly felt a connection. What I want to know is how or where do I start looking into Norse paganism? I've always been eager to learn new things but also been a fighter throughout my childhood. The video of yours I watched mentioned things like that with 2 different gods . How do I know who to attempt to connect with?

I had a dream that I was walking down the street from my house in as look down and back up I saw a wolf or coyote it was hard to see if it was or not anyways he walk across the street he stopped for a sec and looked at me with a message saying to me from who ever send him down that he or she's sees me and after 20 seconds of looking at each other it continued walking farther I would believe its odin hail the all father but my heart thinks its freya whoever's was praise the gods for showing me the sign
