Oh god. I remember getting home from school one day and having to walk through chest deep drifts down a really long laneway in the pitch black lol. Doesn't get better than that. Then i get inside and get to go warm up by the fire... Ahhh i love Canada

My mum was from Barbadoes and my Dad was from Granada. So for them seeing snow for the frist time was exciting and they expected the change in temperture. My mum did tell me thought that during her first fall in Toronto, she freaked out when she saw Fog. It creeps her out even to this day and she's been her for like 26 years. she also doesn't like how quickly the darkness sets in the fall. they don't have day light savings time in her country.

@DanielGWelch Yeah, you'd figure I'd hate freezing my buns off in the winter but like every other Canadian out there i wouldn't want to live anywhere different. Nothing beats snowmobiling down to a restaurant in the dark winter nights or making snow forts and snow men taller than you. The sucky part is when you slide into a ditch and have to stand outside in the cold. The one winter a random pony came sliding out onto the road and was sliding all over the road until someone stopped to get it lol

LOL, black cats too, Yeah, I always just took as another one of those Carribean things that i wouldn't understand. but I love hearing their stories.

@DanielGWelch It is when you don't have to get up at 5:30 and go out to warm up the car before driving through drifts or behind a plow. I think of sitting in a warm house with with a blizzard going on outside though. Either way i wouldn't have it any other way =)
